Guitar. has a placard tucked between the strings that says something like "Ask for Help," and there's a salesman posted up in every zone who feels more like a bouncer than someone there to help. What if I want to pick up 8-10 different guitars, gently strum them, and find one I just can't live without? That's never going to happen if I have to ask permission to pick up every single one. That's absurd. If you want to be a museum, then be a museum. I get that you don't want to be Guitar Center, where 5,000 kids a day put their little pizza-grease fingers on every guitar and crank the amps until you can't hear your own thoughts. I totally get it. But you need to find a balance somewhere in the middle. Most customers in this market are grown men who have no intention of mistreating your precious inventory. Sure, keep the vintage relics out of reach of actual schoolchildren, but find a way to make customers feel welcome and let them explore a few guitars without a salesman breathing down their neck. But also you can do what you want and I know I'm not entitled to your store being the way I want. Hence the disclaimer at the beginning. I showed him the email and I said someone at the store had booked it, name on email, and I had confirmed it again by phone later. I came in expecting to spend some time with some beautiful pianos and get to experience playing and trying some out, but was constantly berated by a particular staff member who was actively trying to get me to stop playing the pianos, asking me if I had an appointment and verbally telling me to stop playing for a minute. He then insulted my financial status by suggesting something in a lower price range. Eventually he came up with some story "We have appointments with customers in the next 5 minutes, so if you could wrap it up here, that would be great." He interrupted my playing numerous times and slyly kicked me out of the store and was a complete asshat! People like this make the world of music less enjoyable for all. Music is meant to be spread and rejoiced by everyone, not gatekeeped by snobs. The one star in this review is for the pianos only. It truly is tragic that these beautiful instruments must sit under the same roof as these rotten people.

He was very helpful, enthusiastic, and opened to my questions. What is a plus is that he's been in the piano dealing business for nearly 20 years and know quite a lot about the other competitor brands. What I like about this place is that it's quiet, clean, and just makes me feel at home, that's the way every piano shop should be. Scott is also kind enough to give me advice and several helpful brochures about purchasing a Steinway Piano. I am pleased to shop here and hopefully I can buy a piano there in the near future. Their price point was high compared with local levels, it seems that their fee needs to be taken out before paying the teacher. My questions and later complaints were ignored, and upon repeated requests to cancel my subscription, they still charged me to the point of their response, not when I asked for it. I have since taken my recommendation of them to other families back. Use your local teachers instead!
