She is able to key in on what I need to be doing and coach my voice to produce a clear, supported sound. My brother takes with Mr. Dan for guitar and has made progress so quickly. He seems to be a very knowledgeable man with professional experience, and has also been teaching my brother how to formally read music (since he was just playing by ear before). When you need music lessons, I definitely suggest Rockin' Robin! They teach a variety of instruments (not joice voice and guitar) and all of the staff are so nice and friendly, even if you're not their student!

Let's get a few things out in the open right away: - You do not need to be a musician to enjoy this place. - You don't need to be a kid to have a birthday party here (adult party here would be awesome) - You do not need any instruments - This place's core business is lessons. I've only been here for a party, but I'm coming back for the lessons - They teach music as a 'team sport', everyone gets to be in a band as they learn. Smart. The owners are incredibly nice and everyone has a great attitude. The equipment provided works just fine for fun recording sessions. The booth is appointed well. The space is large with multiple rooms for concurrent lessons, breakouts, jam rooms ... whatever. The party itself was a blast. The kids were given a crash course in learning very basic instrumental parts for a pre-selected song (which the birthday guest selects). No musical education is required. Sounds crazy, but you don't need to be a musician to have fun here and be a part of a recording session. After the separate tracks were laid down (vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keys); the party moved to cake eating mode. During this time, the producer mixed down and mastered the track, burned to CD's, and handed each attendee a copy. It was quite an experience for the kids to listen to their professional recording in the car on the drive home. The quality of the mixdown and mastering is absolutely acceptable given the talent level of the performers and the fact it went down while people were, literally, eating cake. I liked this party for many reasons: 1) it's unique 2) it's affordable, relative to your other typical options 3) there's a learning component involved. 4) facilities were very nice 5) I brought the snacks, drinks, cake, etc. I like this better as you can control the items and budget for this aspect of the party. 6) the owners and staff are ridiculous friendly 7) the CD giveaway at the end was really special and memorable. Certainly beats a bag of plastic toys you lose immediately. 5 stars way up for Bach 2 Rock in Houston. I'm glad they're here.
