So I buy a new guitar with a Floyd Rose shimlow system I take it to the guitar tech it Fairmont…read morewhen I take it to him the tremolo is floating level after he works on it it's all the way down half of the action is lost I have to go to the Webster or clear lake guitar center to get with a guitar tech that actually knows what he's doing working on your guitar and when the kid was working on my guitar on Fairmont he didn't care about scratching my guitar he could care less it was brand new it was one day old when I took it to him scratching the guitar that wasn't even on his radar I have never had a more unprofessional experience anywhere I suggest if you need to have your guitar worked on take it to the clear lake store cuz the guitar tech there seems to know what's going on I actually left Fairmont after the guitar tech messed up my trim low and drove to the clear lake store and I got the guy on the phone he was like yeah I could take care of that took it to him within 20 minutes he had my guitar correctly adjusted but it didn't change the fact that I drove to two different stores and I actually went to the Fairmont store the day I got the guitar but the guitar tech wasn't there anyways it was a horrible experience and I suggest you never take your guitar to get worked on by this kid

We received the estimate and approved the work on May 30th. At that time the employee told us that it would be a couple of weeks before the flute was ready. We said that was fine, that we were not in a big hurry but would need it before school since our daughter is going to use it for the next school year. After it had been 2 weeks my wife called for the status and was told it was still "in progress". She has called the store every week or less since then and never been given any real information on what is taking so long. Two weeks ago my wife told them we needed it back and we were told it would be ready in about another week. Yesterday the same employee we have dealt with all along told her that maybe the pads had been put on wrong and maybe it would need to be redone. My wife was told it would be another week or so and that we could rent a flute for $5.00 per day if needed. At this point we need the flute back and asked to have it returned the following day. Today we were given a freezer bag full of keys and the three joint sections were returned in the original hard case, inside the soft carrying case we gave them. It had been cleaned but did not have any pads. My wife told the employee that their communication skills were very poor and all the employee had to say is that they typically don't give updates or contact the customer until the work is finished.

As far as the commenter stating he had a "below average" experience, I'd like to observe that he/she really didn't elaborate on the reasoning behind their negative experience. Rather, the focus seemed to be on their displeasure with "illegal bandit signs". Personally, I haven't seen any such signs, with the exception of the ones on Lessons With Austin property. I'd highly recommend Lessons With Austin to all age groups (I'm 37) if you are passionate about music and want to be taught by those who are as well.
