Both floors are exceptional. His prices are very fair, he doesn't try to price gouge you like the big stores do. I actually got my brazillian cherry hardwood floor sourced and installed for about the same price as the big stores were quoting me for carpet... He's also fast. Both of my floors were installed within ~6 hours each time (~150sqft each). I can't recommend Nam enough if you're looking for a hardwood flooring install in the greater Boston area.

I really appreciated Emmanuel's quick response and flexibility in establishing a schedule. Throughout, Emmanuel was accommodating and willing to take on new and unexpected work. Atlantic Bay Consulting put staples in my living room ceiling without asking, but Emmanuel took it in stride and repaired the damage. Emmanuel and his crew worked swiftly and efficiently to hang new drywall and paint the HVAC closet. This was pretty amazing because there were several electrical cables they had to work around and route to the right places for the HVAC and water heater. BDL Heating & Cooling ripped up the back wall of the new closet pretty badly because they didn't know what they were doing while installing the HVAC unit. I really appreciated Emmanuel's willingness to come back and quickly repair the damage. The photos show the quality of his workmanship, and I hope that my review conveys his character and the exceptional value of Home Painting Solutions' work.

The smoke coming up through the floors was so strong we were getting smoke inhalation symptoms. Gross! But then we noticed that the smell was strongest where our floorboards had wide gaps, and we wondered if flooring might be the answer. We love the look of our historic floors, so preserving that was a big concern for us. We reached out to Thomas about sealing up the gaps with caulking and he responded the same day. He fit us in for a consult within two weeks and sent an estimate one hour after his inspection. One week later, they were in our house working. Even though it was October in Salem, he and his team came out and delivered. 3 weeks from start to finish. For a very fair price, we now have airtight floors that look exactly as aged and beautiful as they were before. We were worried that adding caulk between the boards might take away from their charm, but the team was so careful and neat in their work that you would never noticed the filling unless we pointed it out. And the smell is GONE! 100% solved our problem without changing the floors we love. Can't say enough good things about Advanced Flooring Solution. Thank you, Thomas and Co.!

Quality of work was excellent. Job just completed so how long the tile work lasts without a failure is unknown. I purchased the tile and grout separately from a local imported tile company not from a big box company. This was a very small tiling project. Completed a second project while the first was in process. The second project was replacement of an improperly installed walk-in shower chair. Involved opening a wall up (in a closet) to access the back side of the shower wall to install blocking for the chair and drilling new holes in the tile for the screws to attach the chair to the tiled wall. Both the interior of the shower and the wall inside the closet were carefully worked on with no problems. The chair is now installed with proper blocking behind the tiled wall. They re-installed the plastered wallboard inside the closet with minimal visibility. The workers were polite and efficient and respectful. Highly recommend this contractor. As an aside, other contractors suggested by Yelp came in at 56% higher (one contractor quoted on photos only), a second contractor quoted 488% higher (nearly $4000 more) and a second quoted at 390% higher ($3000 more). Not for nothing, I would have preferred them saying they didn't want to do the small job than trying to rip me off. They won't be hearing from me for ANY future jobs.
