They were adding some finishing touches to a beautiful country style barn they just built that will be used for gatherings and weddings. The surrounding area is gorgeous, green, and full of life they even have some farm animals. This is a definite place to visit when in Tehachapi. One other plus was they had children there playing in their yard. The kids have a safe and super fun place to enjoy as the adults shop and take in the views. We got ourselves some sweet blackberries to take home. Out on the farm, we had the best tractor ride and learned some fun facts about fruits, as well as slid on the huge slide and played some outdoor games. While we were here, we ate some oakie pies. My favorite is thanksgiving dinner. It tastes just like November-- Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, and gravy. They have other tasty savory pies like the chicken pot pie, blueberry pulled pork, and the breakfast pie. Of course, you could get some sweet ones too! Let me tell you about this Free Reign Jam in Cinnamon Pear flavor. I wasnt sure what to expect but I was Intrigued. It was bought, I made a piece of toast and took a bite. This bite wasnt just a bite, it changed my entire outlook on jelly or jams. It took my toast to a whole new dimension. The only way I can describe this flavor to you is to say I felt I had taken a bite of cinnamon toast crunch cereal with a slight pear flavor at the end. The pear was subtle and soft but the cinnamon stole the show. The jam has all natural ingredients, no weird named preservatives and had a opened life of 30 days. It wont last that long, I must go back to try everything there and so should you. I think this jam would be lovely with a charcuterie board. Invite me over if you do I will help you devour it .
