They were adding some finishing touches to a beautiful country style barn they just built that will be used for gatherings and weddings. The surrounding area is gorgeous, green, and full of life they even have some farm animals. This is a definite place to visit when in Tehachapi. One other plus was they had children there playing in their yard. The kids have a safe and super fun place to enjoy as the adults shop and take in the views. We got ourselves some sweet blackberries to take home. Out on the farm, we had the best tractor ride and learned some fun facts about fruits, as well as slid on the huge slide and played some outdoor games. While we were here, we ate some oakie pies. My favorite is thanksgiving dinner. It tastes just like November-- Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, and gravy. They have other tasty savory pies like the chicken pot pie, blueberry pulled pork, and the breakfast pie. Of course, you could get some sweet ones too! The Cuyama seller has exhibited unprofessional behaviour in the past, but I did not interact with him today until he decided to play police. I returned my purchase and won't be getting apples from Cuyama again.
