My experience with Robert and his team has been nothing short of exceptional, and I feel it's important to share this with others who might be looking for a trustworthy, reliable home improvement contractor. I first met Robert in 2013, 11 years ago, when he installed a 50-year Owens Corning Roofing System on my home. At the time, he was one of a select few lead roofing contractors for Sears Home Improvement Group--a testament to his expertise and professionalism. From day one, his dedication to customer service was evident; he insisted I have his personal cell number for any future concerns regarding roofing, siding, or other home improvements. In my book, that level of accessibility and commitment is true customer service. Over the years, I've called Robert on a few occasions when my gutters appeared to be leaking or when I had other roofing concerns. Every time, he responded promptly and addressed the issues without hesitation. Fast forward to September of this year, when I noticed a long discoloration stain running from the attic fan/ridge vent down the middle of my roof. Concerned, I called Robert, and true to form, he was on my roof the very next day to investigate. After a thorough inspection, Robert suspected faulty roofing tiles were to blame. He didn't just stop at diagnosing the problem--he took numerous pictures, compiled all the necessary documentation, and guided me through contacting Owens Corning. Thanks to Robert's meticulous record-keeping (he still had original 2013 emails, receipts, and material documentation--who does that?), Owens Corning agreed with his diagnosis. As a result, on October 27th, Robert and his crew installed a brand-new roof, with all labor and materials covered by Owens Corning. This experience reaffirmed what I already knew: Robert is not just a contractor; he is an advocate for homeowners. Having someone like him on your side is invaluable. Homeowners, take note: besides keeping your warranties in order, having a full-service home improvement contractor like Robert to call on for life is a game changer. I received quotes as high as $10,000 just to remove the rocks alone. Along came Andrew Brandt! I put in an order for a cord of firewood on Facebook marketplace to be delivered. The person I originally ordered the wood from was out temporarily so he sent his cousin, Andrew Brandt, to do the delivery. After speaking with Andrew and his worker and touring my front and backyard he said he would be able to take care of everything, including the removal and cleanup. I was skeptical but open minded! He gave me a verbal then written quote which was too good to be true $3500. I jumped on the quote before it went away! Andrew started the job the next day even before I was able to get him the down payment based on him trusting me! Unbelievable! Andrew was able to get rid of everything, plus with a little assistance on my end of purchasing top soil, grass seed and fertilizer, was able to successfully put down soil, seed and fertilizer in time before the cold weather set in. Now, my dream has come to fruition. I have grass in my front yard and no more trees, bushes, shrubs or rocks. Lucas answered while on an existing job. He was very honest saying he can't drop by to make an assessment. Knowing the importance of the situation, he said he'll have his father drop by to take a look. The father (was it Joe?) came by as promised and saw that the previous roofer didn't put flashing around a portion of the chimney. He gave a couple of possible fixes and I picked the more expensive one. He gave me a break on price if i went with the more expensive fix which i appreciated. Before showing up for the work due to budgeting issues i changed to the lower price solution. He didn't have any problems with this change. He and his other son (not Lucas) came on the day as promised. The funny thing was I didn't know they were there until i heard banging outside! They ripped some of the old roof tiles, installed new flashing and overlay them with some leftover tiles I had laying around. They also caulked around other parts of the chimney. They cleaned up their mess. There were aome storms afterwards and no leak! Thx to Lucas for knowing the importance of the problem and having your father and brother fit me into their schedule. And thx to father and son (was it Joe and Ezekiel?!) for fixing the leak! I would definitely consider them to put in a new roof when the time comes!

Months of excuses from them and nasty calls from me to finally get these people out to do the roof. They were supposed to finish in one day, which didn't happen. More excuses, more nasty phone calls. Finally they finished. The actual person who runs this company, John, who I spoke to many times, has a history of not doing or finishing jobs. If you do some research you will find he and his previous companies have been sued more than 70 times in 2007. The man who deals with the insurance companies is just as crooked as the people doing the work. I wouldn't hire this company to put a roof on a doghouse, much less your home or business unless you don't mind waiting at least half a year and are prepared to be on top of them all the time. Everything that comes out of their mouth's are lies. The only thing they were quick about was collecting the money! Who you make your checks out to is a company listed as permanently closed on Google. All business have the address of Fern St. Their proposals are shifty as are the people doing the actual work. And this latest job was to replace our prefab chimney with an updated pipe for our furnace. Each job has been completed beyond our expectations. James and his team aren't just good and professional, they're easy to talk to and we seriously trust their work and price. Another huge thing I noticed with James was when we first spoke with him and he was talking about other jobs in the area. We could tell he takes pride in his work and this area. It matters to him to make these houses better, and he and his team have the skills to do it. I don't know what else a person could ask for. His prices are honest. His work is honest. And the work matters to him. Every project we have - and we have a lot in line - we check with JRT Contracting first because we fully trust them with everything related to our house. If he's available, he has the job by default. If he's not and it can wait, we schedule around his schedule because we'd rather hold off for someone that good and trustworthy than take our chances on someone else.

The company is very unprofessional & they are pigs. After the work was done, they had left garbage, loose nails & screws, etc. all over my front porch & front lawn. My neighbor cleaned it all up one day when I was at work - I had been leaving it for the contractor to clean up. It took this guy over 2 months to pick up the balance of his $$ after the job was completed. When he came this morning to pick up his check, I expressed to him that I was upset that the front porch was never swept, that there were loose nails & screws all over the place & that he had left garbage all over the front lawn as well that my neighbor had cleaned up!! He never apologized!! Then he bent down, picked up a loose nail or two, took the check & left - NEVER taking the broken light fixture he had left there - that he had stood right next to!!
