I'm from San Diego and was visiting my best friend in Alabama for a week. She told me about Teds and said it was a must before going back home. I ordered a potato with pork I think and she got a meal. We also got the banana pudding which was TO DIE FOR as well as a bunch of sides. We came in as a party of 10 and everyone left super happy and full!! I also bought two tees for souvenirs. I'm super bummed that I won't be able to go teds in California but I know for sure everytime I visit my friend we'll have to make a stop. Super friendly people and great service!! read more

First off, some of the best BBQ I have ever put in my mouth! Beans and potato salad are really good, as well. Nice and welcoming establishment. Restaurant is very nice and I loved the color scheme in the ladies room Best of all is the service and staff. So friendly and respectful! Next time, I will be trying the ribs! They only cook ribs and brisket on certain days and it is 1st come, 1st serve. Never heard of anyone doing that before. However, if the rest of it was as great as the BBQ, I don't mind waiting on it! I picked up a family pack with the 1lb pulled pork, bbq beans, green beans, cold slaw and 8 buns. OMG the beans were addicting along with the green beans and bbq. I could have been satisfied with their awesome beans alone as it has bbq infused. The pulled pork had a tasty and light smokey flavor and was very good even without the sauce. I had the spicy bbq sauce on the side and added it to my next sandwich and WOW what a great top notch BBQ sandwich! The sauce is different and has to be the best I have had. It has a smoked taste and a faint amount of heat. Our check was much less than I expected! We will be back with our friends for another meal soon! read more

I went thru the drive thru and ordered a half slab of ribs which was delicious as was the BBQ sauce that was on it. Also had a chicken sandwich lunch combo with the sides being Mac n cheese & bbq beans. Both good...the pulled chicken however had a few bone fragments...if not for that, the sandwich would've been good as well. Pretty good food. Hadn't eaten in about 16 hours so I was hoping for great. I got the chicken and sausage with green beans and mac n cheese. Place was empty but several people came in while I sat eating. Food was served on styrofoam plate with plastic ware. Didn't care for that and it took away from the food. Chicken was tender and sausage flavorful. Beans tasted sweet slightly and mac n cheese tasted like it was from a box. read more

Flew into HSV to eat. We usual go to another place down the road but decided to try this place. BOOM! WOW! Any BBQ has to judged by the meat....almost perfect. We had the pork, sausage and wings. They have AMAZING biscuits!!! I think they are cheddar biscuits but still incredible! They wait for drive through can sometimes feel like it takes forever but it's worth it. I know it's not really that long (it just feels like it) but the wait inside has never been long. They have good food and friendly service so I love this place even though I forget about it sometimes. read more

I stumbled on this just after moving to Alabama and I can't enjoy subpar BBQ since! This is truly the best bbq I have ever had and I go here often. I have tried literally everything on the menu for lunch and dinner and a few breakfast items. I haven't gotten one bad thing yet! This place has some ok BBQ and they offer tamales that I enjoyed even more. They had a nice spicy flavor and were moist and nicely made. The combo plate we ordered came with sausage and pulled pork which was very dry. Yes they gave me a huge side of sauce but still I expect some moisture in my meat. I haven't decided when I'll return as I'm still working may way around the city. read more

I like how spacious it is here. Even if it's busy, it doesn't really feel like it because there is a lot of room and I enjoy that. The staff is also very welcoming. Ted's BBQ has always been my favorite barbecue. I usually eat there for lunch in the downtown Huntsville area so hearing about this place opening up near my home was really exiting. Several times we order a lb of meat and get less than a lb. Today the problems were online ordering site down, no mention of breakfast only til 11 on website, sat several minutes in drive thru before anyone acknowledged us, ordered turkey but told at window after paying that turkey was not ready, kids at the window were rude. We have complained to the mgnt but have seen no improvement. Pretty much done with this place, which is maddening because the food is really good. read more

Ted's is usually pretty good, but unfortunately, not consistent in its quality. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich (to go) and the meat was old and dry. I had requested spicy sauce, but they did not put any on it. The peach cobbler wasn't good either. I'll think twice before eating there again. Update 4/25: The owner of Ted's BBQ contacted me very concerned about my recent less than satisfying dining experience. He investigated the incident, reported the findings to me, and assured me that going forward I can expect an exceptional meal and superior service. I have to say that he takes customer service and satisfaction to the next level. And am looking forward to my next visit. read more

Ted's is great to have in Madison especially down on the old Madison pike part of town. The BBQ is real good. I am particularly fond of the big double #6 on the menu which is sausage pulled pork and coleslaw on a bun. Recommend getting two sides w Mac and cheese fries or baked beans. Restaurant super clean inside and plenty of seating added bonus have decent amount of tvs usually playing ESPN and they have some good tunes playing as well. read more

Poor drive-thru experience. Young girl was rude and a second young girl stood by her laughing. Too many choices to be treated rudely.

We are here for a soccer game and found Teds for a quick lunch. We had the pulled chicken sandwich which had white sauce and Cole slaw on it and it was fantastic. The chicken was moist and delicious. Potato salad was very good, skip having green beans - nothing special about them. Overall everything was excellent. Restaurant and bathrooms were extremely clean! read more

I've been to a few locations with similar results on food but varying service. I'm not a big fan of what they prepare but the BBQ sandwiches are pretty good for the run. The Madison location is the newest and among my favorite. Not overly crowded and service is prompt. read more
