This place is a gem!!! And definitely a new contender for some of what I feel is best bbq in town. We came here after we found the place we initially intended to go no longer operating on Wednesdays. Honestly pretty glad for that inconvenience, because it brought us to Barbeque Heaven! There's not a ton of parking, so come in a smaller car if you can. The inside is just a couple of tables and booths with plastic table coverings on them and you order at the counter. You can smell the smoke as you walk up and it smells delicious! I got the impression the man working the register was perhaps the owner. He was very kind, patient, and excited to share with us about their product. He had a good sense of humor and a warm laugh. My mom and I both got the lunch special -- a bbq sandwich with one side and a drink. The price was right and the portions were generous. We both got pulled pork on our sandwiches. I got French fries and she got macaroni and cheese so we could both try each. We also got to sample all three sauces: white sauce, slightly spicy, thinner red sauce, and thicker, sweet red sauce. Honestly, everything we ate was great. The pork was super tender, just smoky enough, and not at all fatty/greasy/gristly (which is my preference by a mile). Good ratio of burnt ends, too. My /only/ very minor critique is that the buns smelled a little weird. Idk if it was the bag they were stored in or what, lol. But they didn't taste weird at all, and their texture was pleasant, so not a huge deal at all. The French fries probably weren't fresh cut, but they were freshly fried, nice and crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside, with some flavorful seasoning coating the exterior. No ketchup needed! The macaroni and cheese was creamy and flavorful, with some crispy cheese on top. We took a combo home for my dad and got him some fried okra; I stole a couple pieces and it, too, was delicious! Flavorful breading and perfectly crispy. Lastly, I nabbed a slice of their obviously homemade red velvet cake. I was too full to eat it til after dinner, haha. The crumb was absolutely perfect - super moist and delicate. The cream cheese icing was, as expected, sweet! But it wasn't crazy sweet and the chopped pecans added a really nice new textural element. This place is well worth the drive if you don't live nearby. I know I'll be looking for excuses to head out their way in the future to get some more delicious bbq. read more

I moved here from Florida. Was looking for a good legit BBQ spot. Someone from work told me about BBQ Heaven. I pulled up at 11am and smelled burning wood--that was a good sign. I got catfish and rib lunch plates to go. The staff were friendly and the food came fast. Everything was great, very moist and smoky ribs, catfish was very flavorful. Those Fried Okra were off the charts and their BBQ sauce is obviously homemade and very good. It's better than Stubbs. I enjoyed it and I'll be back. read more

Decided to check out this place the other day per a suggestion from my friend. I had never heard of this place and was so happy to see fried fish on menu (whiting + cat fish) The customer service was amazing. The young lady at the front counter was very attentive , me and my friend sat there for over 3 hours just talking. The only thing I didn't care for were the baked beans they were more savory then sweet, but you can definitely tell they are homemade. We were out and thought about picking up some BBQ. We were in Madison when I checked Yelp for a recommendation. I saw Barbeque Heaven and we went there Friday around 12:45. The parking lot was full of cars. The restaurant was packed. This is a good sign. We ordered a rack of ribs, a whole chicken, catfish plate with one extra fillet, side of potato salad, side of fried okra, large potato salad, large green beans and large mac and cheese. They were out of pulled pork Friday. Note to self...get there before the pork is gone! The food is excellent! The meat on the ribs was plentiful and moist. The chicken and white sauce are the bomb. The mac and cheese is legit! If you like potato salad, you will love their potato salad. The green beans are soooo good! We will be back to try the pulled pork. The owner and staff are very nice. In addition, I ate at this establishment and Little Libby's Catfish and Diner and I must say BarbeQue Heaven's catfish was by far much tastier and enjoyable. And had far better service. Ok. I hate bbq. I love this place. We were on our way to Huntsville airport and this place is one exit before you get there. We pull into a trailer park (I'm slightly concerned) and pull up to a building that looks like it was built in the 60s and is maybe 900square feet. We went inside at 1130 and we were the only people in the joint (another concerning moment). We ordered at the window and sat down. Dennis got half a chicken and I got the Chicken sandwich with green beans on the side. As we waited we noticed several to go orders being picked up. That must be where they make their money. When the food came out, I was amazed. The bbq chicken sandwich was fantastic and if I had had those green beans as a kid, I would have always eaten my vegetables.
