We've eaten at many BBQ restaurants over the years. Ted's is the BEST! Great taste and great price!

We were in town on vacation and looking for a unique spot. Saw the amazing Yelp reviews and decided to give Ted's a try. Definitely worth the stop! Ordered at the counter. The menu is expansive, so it took us a bit to decide what we wanted. We arrived early, so the dinner crowd wasn't waiting for us to make up our mind. I ordered the Combo #6 - Sausage and Pulled Pork Sandwich with a side of mac and cheese and a soda. My husband ordered a Pulled Pork Stuffed Potato. And, my son was excited about getting both a hot dog and mac and cheese side as a kid's meal. There were multiple seating options, and we waited a short time for our food to arrive through the pick-up window. My sandwich was amazing! A great combination of flavors. I chose to order it without BBQ sauce as there is sauce on the tables. That way, I had the opportunity to try both the mild and hot options. Everyone ate their meals quickly...a sign of the deliciousness of eat option! The Yelp check-in deal included a free pudding or cobbler. I tried the banana pudding - FANTASTIC! QuickTake: Clean location, good barbecue, fast-casual environment, drink control, good iced tea, clean restrooms Review: The restaurant when you walk in is clean. Not hard to find, right off HWY 20. Parking is easy on its own private lot. Seating is plentiful whether you are a small family or a very large group. Timing on food was average with not a long wait. Iced tea was good and fresh. Menu was easy to read and flowed well to the eye. Tip: Sit at the booths, they are very comfortable. Try the banana pudding, its really good with a thick custard style. My first visit in early Dec 2019. It was just ok. The pulled pork was good and the smoked sausage was good. I'd rather have more pork and less fries (but fries are cheap to make). I'd try another spot next time. The service young ladies were very nice. read more

Ted's bbq sent out a free coupon for a sandwich. I got the sandwich only. The sandwich was good, the only complaint would be I ordered spicy sauce and the sauce was not spicy/hot enough. Fast service when I got there just as they opened. I will try them again. read more

This is a new location for Ted's. The service was super! They were courteous and attentive. The BBQ was average. I ordered the pork and sausage double sandwich. The pork was good, but the skin on the sausage was tough and hard to bite through. The hot tamale was large and good, not too spicy. I tried some ribs, but the there was very little meat on the ribs and I didn't;t taste any smoke flavor. I did like their sweat BBQ sauce. read more

Teds was good at one point. But to have to deal with arrogant punks as a cashier doesn't make the experience enjoyable. I was giving my order to a guy, and he just walked away. Didn't say anything. Then when the next guy came up, he asked for my order. I already gave the other guy my order. The manager wasn't really sympathetic. Just excuses. read more

I've been eating at Ted's since they took over the location from Best BBQ (?). It has always been good, hot, and plentiful. On Wednesdays they have brisket but I had never been able to get the timing right to try their brisket. Well, today the stars aligned. On the way home, my wife and I decided to stop at Ted's and have a bite to eat. When I saw it was Wednesday, I just had to try their brisket. Big Mistake! The brisket was so tough, I broke a fork holding it and the plastic ware knife would barely cut it. I should have sent it back, but I did manage to eat it. Not much taste and the meat was so like shoe leather. My fries and BBQ beans were good, and hot. My wife ordered the 2 meats plate with BBQ pork and what we were told was a Polish sausage. Her meal was a bust. The pork was cold and watery. The sausage did not have the consistency of any Polish sausage we've ever eaten. Her fries were hot but the BBQ beans were cold. On our way out, I stopped at the cashier and told the young woman running the cash register. No reaction. We have eaten at Ted's a lot, but it will be a while before we decide to give them another chance. STRIKE 1!! read more

Visiting from out of town and Ted's is across the street from my hotel. Read the reviews and decided to give them a try. The mac and cheese was creamy, hot and delicious, which I love. The BBQ pork had a good juicy flavor and was right on point. There was no need for bbq sauce, but I tried both the mild and sweet sauce. They both just added more great flavor to an already tasty meat. I wish the temperature of the meat was warmer. It was a little below room temperature. I ordered a tamale, just because I love tamales. It was meaty, but I would have liked more flavor. The sweet tea was refreshing. All in all it was a yummy experience. read more

We stopped for breakfast this morning. It was our first time getting breakfast. We went thru the drive thru & it was not a good experience. We ordered 2 biscuit combos. Waited for a few minutes for the cars ahead of us. Then waited 30 minutes for our food. No explanation or anything about what was going on. Even when I tried to get someone's attention, they acted like they didn't see me waving at them. We did eventually get our food. Still no explanation as to why it took so long. Had we not already paid, we would have left. The food was pretty good, but doubt we'll be back for breakfast anytime soon. An explanation would have been nice. read more

Wow! Great food, service and value. We showed up hungry, left satisfied. The sides, (green beans and Mac and cheese)were very good and my 15 year old loved her chicken sandwich (buttered buns yum) and fries. Cornbread was a bit dry and I would say that was the only issue I had with my dinner. Tamale was off the hook good. We stopped by while visiting the area to look for a place to move to since we are relocating. This place is really unassuming but quite the treat! So...I was in town last week from Chicago, visiting family for the holiday and of course I needed my bbq fix. I only eat ribs down south. Oh Alabama your sweet tea is the drink from the gods. They can't make it like that up here in Chicago. Anyways my brother and sis n law took me here and it was a night they had ribs. I ordered the rib platter with Mac n cheese and fries and a small order of the smoked wings. Of course I tore up those ribs first-- meaty, juicy, tasty, saucy. Got some sauce on my shirt and was proud of it! That spicy bbq sauce is the best. I managed to eat 3 of the smoked wings, was pretty full at this point, and those were great. That Mac n cheese was on point as well. Fries were fresh. My go to was Big Bob Gibson's for bbq but now it's Ted's!!! Moving here in March. Get those ribs ready! This review is specifically about the breakfast menu and the drive-thru service. First off, Ted's breakfast menu has proven to be very tasty, especially their flapjacks with bananas (I highly recommend them). The only problem is the drive-thru: the ladies who run it routinely leave out items from my order (syrup or coffee creamers), so I always check my order before leaving the window. This morning, it was the syrup. When I asked for it, they argued with me that it was actually missing. That's no way to treat a customer! I called a manager (first time I've complained about any of the missing items), so hopefully she'll take care of the problem. After I talked to her, I realized they forgot the bananas in the flapjacks BOTTOM LINE: breakfast is great! Just don't bother going though the drive-thru NOTE: I've never had a problem with the lunch or dinner crew. I think the young ladies at breakfast just need a little training on attention to detail and interacting with customers. Please fix it, Ted's! Never judge a book by its cover. Drove up and it looked like a re-purposed used car sales lot/McDonalds... nevertheless, this place is amazing. My fave has always been Big Bob Gibson's but, Ted's ranked high too! We had shredded pork, baked beans & French fries. Delicious
