I started coming here since 2016. I've booked with both Pai and Jane but I usually book my appointments with Pai. They're both really sweet girls. The sessions are really quick and not too painful. The waiting room decoration is super cute too. Oh and it's cash only! read more

This place has thee best vibe (despite the pain)!Professional, clean, fast & friendly service. Easy peasy . Best vibe ever for wax joint.

I love this place. Does it hurt? Absolutely yes. But it's over in less than 15 minutes. I have been going to Rika for about a year now and she's awesome!! She's friendly and talkative. The conversation definitely keeps your mind off the waxing. She has back to back clients 5 days a week and still remembers previous conversations we've had and will ask about things and people I've mentioned. I tell everyone about her. 10/10 I always recommend! read more

It was my first time getting a Brazilian at this waxing salon but it was a quick and easy process. I was the first client of the day so there wasn't a wait time. The salon is very cute and small and has all the precautions for preventing the spread of Covid. The actual waxing took about 10-15 mins and very minimal pain. Pai made me feel very comfortable and the rooms come with a tv to watch shows. Will definitely be back! read more

Hands down the only place I'll ever go for waxes. Like, I can literally never move out of the Bay Area, because I only trust them! These women are fierce, hilarious, real, and comforting during uncomfortable moments of pain. They talk to you like life long friends and make the whole experience actually fun! Go to them. You will not regret it. Do it. read more

this review is long overdue! I've been a longstanding n loyal customer at Ted D Bare for a couple of years now. (don't u love the name? such irony. : )) there r seriously no cons here, only pros! as in TOTAL professionals. Ted D Bare is located on Forest Avenue in San Jose, although I would consider it almost in Santa Clara cuz it's only 5 minutes away from Valley Fair Mall. the office is located in a small office complex. there's a small private parking lot in the back. usually there's empty spaces on weekdays. do u like to feel clean n smooth? for real. who doesn't? after a visit to Jane (super nice n cool also!) u will not imagine going anywhere else for your waxing needs. sure there's going to b pain. if hundreds of hairs r being pulled up out of your skin at one time, u will feel it. at Ted D Bare, Jane makes sure it will b over quickly. things run pretty efficiently there. sometimes I'm in n out in under 5 minutes! (yah, u don't wanna know what I'm getting done. : )) n it's not only women who r customers there. I've seen a couple of men there also in the front waiting area. we don't say hi or anything of course. : ) but I'm sure he's thinking "what's she getting done?" cuz I'm thinking the same exact thing. haha. but hey, more power to them cuz I love guys who know to take care of themselves EVERYWHERE. : ) how to get started at Ted D Bare : call her to schedule a first ever appointment. fill out a form which u will never need to do again. she will send out notices via e-mail with available slots for the coming weeks. super simple! FYI - Spring & Summer times r pretty busy cuz it's beach & bikini season so they get slammed, so I try to get my appointments at least a week or two ahead. read more

I've been to Ted D Bare twice now. The first time was with Jane and the second was with Gabby. Easily made an appointment via email the first time. The second time was made via text as I needed a same day appointment. So happy they were able to fit me in within 40 minutes of my text! Both Jane and Gabby are fun to talk to and they kind of keep your mind off the pain! Facilities are very clean and decor is so cute. Cash only. See their website for pricing and FAQ! read more

I am so damn torn on this review. I've been seeing Jane for so many years, sure not always regularly, but since she first started taking women. None of her previous moves have presented any problems, but unfortunately now that isn't the case. I want to say first though, Jane is the absolute best, if you need to get waxed, you need to go see her. However, this review isn't about Jane and her abilities, nope, its about the person who books her appointments, Amanda. Amanda really sucks at her job, ever since she was hired to take on booking for Jane its been a pain to get anything scheduled. I'd also like to think, regardless of how many folks come in, she'd have a little more attention to detail. I say this because, I am pretty unforgettable, through text, email or in person, I am a giant bitch and it is hard to forget me. So the fact I have to deal with this is more than annoying to me. Yet somehow, Amanda seems to think I am some brand new client every single time I try and schedule a Brazilian. Of which is the only thing I have or will ever schedule. Anyways, I wont be going back anymore, I don't appreciate the run around when trying to get things done. I don't have time for that. I just stay a gorilla or take up shaving, because unfortunate for me this decision leaves me with no other options because no on is as amazing as Jane. Thanks, Amanda. Wonderful job. Bye, Jane, I'll miss you. read more

This place is amazing! I don't normally write reviews but Ted D Bare deserves a shoutout. They are so professional, hygienic and dang they are fast! I am always shocked at how little pain there is compared to previous waxing experiences. The online appointment booking system is great and they are incredibly timely. This place is well worth the drive! read more

This place is amazing. So quick, efficient and less painful than other places. I went there for a Brazilian and omg I was out in 10 mins. No tips and their work is amazing. They are taking all precautions for COVID-19. The place is super clean and your interaction with other people is kept minimal. My esthetician was Pai and she was so friendly, talked to me the whole time. 45$ is so economical and totally worth it. I would give 6 stars if I could. read more

Let's be real; getting waxed is no walk in the park. That said, these women know how to get it done! Service is fast, high quality, and reasonably priced, and they distract you with small talk as best as they can. I won't go anywhere else! read more

I dont know how I've not yelped this place as I've been a customer for quite some time now. Maybe I wanted to keep this place a secret because I love it that much. Appointments are in and out within 15 depending on service. Before covid they were already clean but now to have appointments running so customers don't wait in the common space together, sanitizer at the entrance and exit and masks must be worn. Bathroom isn't open yet but the place is cute. Customer service has always been awesome. I cant recommend this place enough to at least try it once! I promise thats all it will take to hook you :) read more

Clean, professional & fast service. Perhaps a bit too fast...my recent visit was under 8 minutes from the moment I walked in to out of the room. I already feel a small area of growth (?) after 48 hrs. (hence, minus 1 star). I've been here 5 times & they have been good experiences so far. read more

Been going here since high school I believe. Ya girl is late 20s and absolutely cannot imagine getting deforestated anywhere else. They are skilled, fast, dope, and are straight to the point. No fakeness or annoying customer service voice, just professionals who are experts in what they do. Affordable prices. Don't look anywhere else. read more

If you want to stop looking like Chewbacca, don't second guess yourself, JUST COME TO HER! I've been a solid patron since 2012, but there was ONE time I couldn't get an appointment back in the day and I had to go to a chain waxing center... that place was horrible and I knew I had to go back to my girl. Anyways, Jane is awesome, responds quickly to email, waxes even more quickly, and always has some sort of comedy playing on the tv in the room. Also, in addition to the booze, I saw some candy... In all the years I've been there, there as been one price increase. It was recent and really broke the bank. It went from $39 to $40. Also, LOVING the new space! Being so close to Santana Row was really bad for my shopping habit. These few blocks really help. You have no idea. TIP: the new building is a corner building and there's a parking lot in the back. Read the signs at/on the building and there's no way you can get lost. read more

I'm a recent transplant to the Bay Area from Toronto. Waxing in general was relatively cheaper in Toronto when compared to San Jose so finding a good place to wax which put a dent in my wallet was hard. Enter TEd D Bare - I love their system. It's quick, efficient and worth the price. They charge 45$ ( cash only) no tips! My pain scale stands at - 10 so trust me when I tell you that this is the most painless waxing session ever. If it's your first time or nth time, come here to get waxed. You won't be disappointed with the results. These ladies know what they're doing. read more

Didn't even hurt, at all. I have been getting Brazilians for years. So well at keeping you talking so your not nervous or even have time to think. I think her name is Rico? Or something like it. But I have a feeling everyone is just as great. Best price and the fastest wax EVER and again didn't hurt. You book online, simple.and there's a number to text if you have questions which is super functional. And probably reduce over head. Soooo smart. read more

Seriously, run to this place! I will admit, I was hesitant to go because of the way you have to schedule. It ended up being really easy though. Jane is AMAZING! I had waited the 4 weeks and had actually gone back to shaving for the months prior. It should have hurt like a mother, but it was so quick and painless that I felt like I should be having other parts waxed! Jane is hilarious and the studio is so cute. They have the best art work and it is very bright and clean. I think I have found my new spot! read more

Moved recently, and was hesitant to find a new esthetician, but Pai was awesome. Super quick, very friendly, and I will definitely be back.

Had my first wax yesterday. I was nervous and a little weirded out by the prospect of a stranger rooting around in my downstairs nether regions. But Jane just acted as though it was my left calf, all business, no fluff. She told me how it would work, what the rules are and if we all played along this would be painful but quick. What more could I hope for, I'm getting hair ripped from my skin?!!! Truthfully, except for the very inner workings of my lady parts, it was not that bad. I would say the inner part of my eyelid hurts more. I told this to my friend who is a long time Brazilian waxer and she said, that is not everyone...just Jane. So I say to you Bikini waxers of the world, if your person isn't getting it done, takes too long, hurts too much.... get it done by Jane. She is fast, professional and damn good. Jane - You rock, thank you for making my first time so easy and comfortable. I'm hooked, I will see you in 4 weeks! :) I've been strutting all around town since I walked out of your office. #feelinggood read more

So, I haven't gotten a wax in over a year so I was hesitant to get waxed again but my friend told me about Ted d bare and I am so glad she did !!! Mandy was AMAZING! Not only did my wax come out perfect she makes you feel comfortable & is hilarious! Also, I got a Brazilian and underarms my hair is super thick but she had me in & out in a matter of like 10 minutes! 10/10 recommend! read more

Jane finished my brazilian wax so fast that I barely had time to break into my pain anxiety sweats. Ish was painful (it's been a minute) but was so quickly over that I firmly believe in repeating this masochistic pu--y pampering. Straight to business, straight up $45, and in and out in less than twenty minutes. Ka-chow! P.S. Parking lot to the rear, accessible off Bellerose. Pop a couple ibuprofens beforehand. Cash only. read more

I've been going here since the first shop on Winchester. The new shop is super cute, convenient, and it's easy to find parking. I love Jane and Pai and I've never had a problem getting an appointment. If your review is 100% based on the fact that you couldn't get an appointment and not on the actual service, you should probably learn how to Internet better. As for the waxing itself, they're quick, efficient, and make the process super easy and comfortable. I've tried other places out of convenience but it was either awkward or painful. I'll be sticking with Jane and Pai for all my waxing needs. read more

If I could give more than five stars, I would! This place is the best and I'm so glad I found it (through a GF's recommendation). This was my first time waxing after taking a year and a half break and Jane made me feel so comfortable. She was fast and straight to business - no messing around! I was in and out in less than ten minutes. There was a girl in the lobby who I started speaking with and she has been seeing Jane for more than eight years and after my wax, I can see why! You bet your booty I'm telling everyone and their momma about Ted D Bare! read more

I went here for my first Brazilian, very nervous about how painful it could be. The whole process was great, and while it wasn't completely painless, it wasn't as bad as I thought! Very clean and cute place, my waxer made me feel super comfortable and was easy to talk to. Will definitely be going back for other spots to wax read more

First time getting waxed and Rika made it such a good experience. I was incredibly insecure about hyperpigmentation (darkness) between my thighs but she was very professional and converses with you to get your mind off the process. Had a good laugh and through the conversation I didn't even know how much time passed but my appointment for my underarm + Brazilian was already over. They really help calm you down and of course it will hurt but I thought it would be excruciating (it isn't) just the top part of your coochie, the first rip, probably hurt the most but other than that YOU CAN DO IT. BOOK THE APPT WITH THEM. I would definitely come back; I really hate the results of shaving for so many years. Can't wait for my next appointment, would like to see the decor as many people in other reviews rave about their interior design, however I visited while they were still remodeling, or should I say "Frankensteining" haha. Thanks so much Ted D Bare! read more

Okay I've been going to this place for 5 years but why haven't I met MANDY till now?! She was quick, witty, and most of all just top to bottom A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. So so skilled! Not to mention, Ted D Bare is definitely the #1 wax place in the Bay Area and love all of my ladies there read more

Love this place and the staff. They always do such a great job and the estheticians are all so nice. The outside of the building isn't appealing and looks like an office, but the inside is SOOOO adorable. By now, you should know they only take cash and you HAVE to be on time. read more

Went in with Jane on Sunday for my first wax ever. I absolutely loved the decor. Its super nice and clean. I'll see you soon, Jane. :) read more

Jane was a bit crude and rude to be honest. I was quiet taken aback by her demeanor, but she gave me a Brazilian wax in about 10 minutes. Wild. She did an okay job. I think because she did it so quickly, there were some spots that she could have done a better job. Small office but decorated well. I like the bit of attitude. Would consider coming back again. read more

I first went here to their location before they moved to Santa Row, where Eddie Murphy played on a little flat screen while I believe it was Jane cheerfully ripped out your hairs. After the birth of two kids and living like a cave-woman during this pandemic, decided to treat myself to some personal cleanup. Just like before, appointments are easy to make - email confirmation is immediate, and there is an option for possible same day via text. It used to be cash only upfront, but they now take an initial "down deposit" when making the appointment using a debit/credit card and then the remainder will be collected in cash - no need to tip - once you come in for the appointment. Plenty of parking in the back, and the place is so much bigger with a waiting room playing upbeat music and comfy seating. Masks are required and they hit you with some hand sanitizer before and after being seen. You also sign a waiver on an iPad stating that yeah waxing is painful and just like any service comes with some risks (wait do people actually threaten litigation for someone who is willing to deal with your jank, because that's just sad). Again, there is a flat screen TV (Gunpowder Milkshake was playing) and I had the pleasure of being tortured by Pai. But really, their waxing technique is awesome because despite their warnings of pain, it's minimal. I got an underarm, brazillian, and lower legs that came out smooth. It's discrete, they make you feel awesome, it's reasonably priced, and they do a great job. Definitely will be returning for a follow up. read more
