Love this place! All the ladies are so friendly. I have been a loyal client for years. I drive from Hollister every month to get my wax. That's how good this place is. I can not say enough good things about them. Even my husband gets his wax done sometimes! Mya is my go to gal! But I have been to other ladies here as well. And all of them are excellent! Not to mention they are so sweet that they do not except tips unless it's in the form of baked goods. read more

I loveeeeee coming to Ted D Bare. I don't get waxed often, but when I do this is my go to. Highly recommend! I usually book a brazilian with any available person and it's been great each time. Their website makes it easy to book. The space itself is clean and there's a nice couch to sit on while waiting. If you still have a balance due, make sure you bring cash! read more

You will never find a better place to get waxed, end of story. I moved to the north bay and still drive 2 hours to go here because they are THAT EXCELLENT. They also do not accept tips, and only charge one flat rate, which is so awesome and helpful! Rika, Mya, and the whole crew are truly the best ever! read more

I've been going to Ted D Bare for the past 5/6 years for manzillians. It might be a little scary for men especially that first time. But all the wonderful ladies are the best in San Jose. Everyone is very welcoming and will make your experience as comfortable as possible. They also provide all the pre and post after wax care to prevent ingrowns in house. Shoutout to Rika my Esthie Ateh, it always a good convo during my appointments with her. read more

Okay, I've been going here for years. This review is long overdue. I've never had a bad experience. I've only ever had Brazilians and they have all taken less than 15 minutes, tops--probably less than 10 minutes if I really timed them. The waiting room and actual rooms are pretty cool. Check out the neon sign here. The rooms and staff are super sanitary, which I greatly appreciate, and I also appreciate the very real and approachable staff. Again, I have no complaints. I've never waited long, even when they are behind. They don't accept tips and you can pay completely ahead of time online, which is very convenient. The website is easy to use, and you can book with your favorite person, too. I've been going to Zai, who is awesome and is my favorite, but all of them are cool. read more

Very positive experience with recent visits. The reviews live up to the hype! The vibe is a little edgy mixed with a cute sense of humor. I've been getting the male Brazilian done and the sessions are quick, clean, and professional. Everyone is very friendly and approachable. I'd recommend Ted D Bare for any male interested in their first, or continued waxing needs. read more

Been coming here for years. The building is very clean and everyone here is amazing. Zai is the real deal! Makes you feel comfortable!

Arrived for my Brazilian wax a little early. Originally requested an appointment with Mya but was taken in my Gavi! After taking a year and some more time off waxing and just shaving I can say Gavi made me comfortable and reassured id be in good hands with any of the waxers there. Cute waiting area too! Will be returning back and getting my maintenance there! read more

First time visiting, and I'm so glad I did! Got a Brazilian wax here for the first time, and it was so fast that the discomfort was gone before I knew it. Mya was super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience easy for a first-timer like me. read more

I've been going to Pai and Jane since the previous location off Winchester, so for over 10 years. I love the professionalism and transparency at Ted D Bare in San Jose for waxing. The option to pay ahead seals the deal for me, as I'm terrible at carrying cash and remembering my wallet. The wax techs and appointment system are top-tier. The decor and vibe are relaxed and funny. The place feels like a spa appointment. Book now! read more

I have been seeing Mya for my Brazilian wax for over a year. Let me tell you, it took me forever to get the courage to get a Brazilian, but I couldn't be in better hands! No pun intended. Mya was absolutely amazing, she walked me through it all and kept me talking! I had my first Brazilian wax and never looked back. Love you Mya!! read more

I was so nervous before my first Brazilian wax because let's be real... you're putting all your goodies on display for someone other than your spouse! But Mya made me feel so comfortable from the moment I walked in. She is amazing, friendly, professional, and truly the best! Now I have a reoccurring appointment to see her every 6 weeks and wouldn't trust anyone else! The best part is, she gets you in and out in less than 15 minutes, which I LOVE because life is busy and this girl has a hectic schedule. If you're nervous, don't be. Book with Mya. Ted D Bare is my favorite waxing place in the Bay Area. I always go to Rika for my Brazilians. She always has the best energy, makes sure you're comfortable, works quickly, and before you know it, you're done! They mean it when they say they are professional speed waxers, they can get a Brazilian done in 7 minutes. Which is crucial for anyone with a busy schedule, like me. All the ladies are experts in soft wax, and their method works! You pay half when you book and the other half in cash at the appointment. They don't accept tips. I'm not usually one to buy products but I've personally bought their 50 Grit Body Exfoliator bath towel for after care. It's really big so I cut it in half to double its lifetime and I've seen positive results! Their lobby and space is amazingly decorated, a mix between cozy and modern feminism. Even their wallpaper demonstrates their edgy personality. This isn't your typical salon. It's better. I follow their CEO and Founder Lady Peng. As a marketing girlie, I can appreciate their brand and the way they truly demonstrate their passion for waxing. Even the packaging and their website highlight their relatable, assertive, and hilarious brand voice. They really know how to engage their audience. Go to Ted D Bare! You won't regret it read more

I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else for a Brazilian wax. Ted d Bare has officially ruined me for all other places (in the best way possible). The waiting area and rooms are spotless. The staff? Hilarious. They somehow manage to make you laugh while ripping hair out of your body, which honestly feels like a superpower. On top of that, I've picked up more feminine hygiene tips here than I ever expected during a wax appointment. Pai and Mya are both incredible, talented, kind, and absolute pros at keeping things quick, smooth, and way less awkward than it has any right to be. 10/10 recommend. If you're going to suffer for beauty, at least do it with people who make it fun. read more

I've found my new favorite waxing studio in SJ! We search high and low for the perfect studio. This one fits everything. Location is great for me. The inside makes it fun - u just gotta see this place - and the estheticians are fast and really not painful. Can't wait to get all services here read more

Best wax in the bay! Always quick and as painless as possible. All of the staff is amazing, and they were incredibly kind in squeezing me in later this afternoon when I arrived inexcusably 20 minutes due to a highway closure today. Well worth the drive! read more

Best waxing center in the Bay Area! I first started going to Ted D Bare back in 2021 and I've been coming ever since. Zai and Mya are truly the best -- they're professional, quick, and always make me feel comfortable. Yes, pain is always "free 99" but you're literally in and out in less than 15 minutes. I love that I can book an appointment on my lunch break and be finished before heading back to work. If you're looking for reliable, skilled waxers who make the process easy (and even a little fun), this is the spot. Highly recommend Zai and Mya! read more

10/10 service. My go-to waxing spot in the bay. Mya has been my go-to for Brazilians. She's so good at making you feel comfortable and is hilarious that I barely notice when the wax comes off. Can't recommend Mya and Ted D Bare enough!! read more

I've been coming here for years.... This place has always been my go to spot with Jane and Pai. I haven't been back in awhile since my pregnancy, so I decided to book a superrrrr last minute appointment recently. But their booking system on the web has improved so much from what I remember. It was easy to follow and confirm availability with the rest of their team. This was my first time booking with Zai, and she's just as friendly and down to earth as Jane and Pai. Also make sure to come on time! Booking on the web requires a deposit. If you're late or miss your appt, I read it's non-refundable. read more

I've been to Ted D Bare a few times now for a Manzillion and every time I've been impressed with how friendly the staff are. They do a good job of keeping your mind off of thinking about the possible pain (it's not so bad). It's over before you know it. read more

First of all, the vibes are fantastic. The waiting room is so cute, with fun artwork and fun music. All of the waxing rooms have a Tarantino theme (Mia Wallace, Boss Tanaka, Beatrix Kiddo..), my waxer today had SpongeBob playing on her TV. All of the pain purveyors have fabulous personalities and are so fast and skilled. I've been getting full Brazilian for about 15 years and this spot is the best, least painless place I've been to. Highly recommend. read more

I've been coming to Ted D Bare for about two years now and I refuse to go to any other place. All of the waxers here are amazing and professional! Pai is my waxer and I'm usually in and out within 10-15 minutes. They have a no tipping policy which is definitely rare but you can tell they genuinely care about their clients and giving them a great service. I would also recommend to try their ingrown hair spray. I've tried different products from different places and their Agent 88 spray has helped me the best with my ingrown hairs. I love the vibe of this place and I would definitely recommend to come here if you haven't already! read more
