Very professional and caring environment for your child to grow up in…read more My child has been in Ms. Helga's daycare for over a year and there is big difference in the way children are treated and raised here compared to our old school where the staff were just observing and feeding/changing diapers. Here the real education takes place. Helga and staff (Ms Katya and Ms Melina) are supportive, caring and firm when needed. My child is very stubborn and wants everything her way, and the teachers spend much time explaining what's right and wrong. They also were very persistent when it came to following the rules (bc in the previous daycare children did whatever they wanted). My child has had much less incidents (falling, scratching, etc.) in the school as well, meaning children are being looked after. Important thing to mention that graduates of Ms.Helga's daycare easily enroll in Riverview Elementary School, which assesses kids to get in. Overall, great place and I highly recommend this daycare.

Our kid has grown so much there and I feel very lucky to have been introduced to this place through word of mouth. He used to go to a larger Montessori preschool but I felt he wasn't getting a lot of personal encouragement. For example, we're a bilingual family so we'll speak Korean at home and English outside and he just wasn't really picking up at English at all before. He became so fluent here, and it's so fun to discover what he's learned! It really feels like a family atmosphere and she really lets each kid thrive in their own way. Logistically it's amazing as well - breakfast, lunch, snacks all provided. The hours are very flexible, as is the different care options (half day, full day, certain days a week, etc). Our kid has tried so many different foods here (I learned he really likes green beans). I'd highly recommend it here, and if you live nearby it's actually amazing for busy parents.

Everyday, when I dropped him off I felt at ease knowing that he was well taken care of. I know this is a main worry for any parent. Not only was he safe he was learning so much! The activities and routines are thoughtfully designed to help children develop confidence in managing tasks independently, such as cleaning up after themselves, following instructions, and making choices. It was amazing to see how much my child grew in such a short time, both in terms of independence and self-esteem. I would highly recommend Livs tot spot!

You can truly tell they care about the children as individuals. Prior to this, he attended another daycare where it felt like the teachers didn't really know him or pay attention to his needs and as parents, we could feel that. The difference here is night and day. My son is happy, comfortable, and clearly feels safe, which means everything to us. The teachers are always communicative and collaborative, working with us on what's working (or not working) for our toddler. We genuinely feel like we're part of a team when it comes to his care and development. The front office staff also deserves a shout-out, they are consistently kind and understanding whenever we have questions or special requests for our son. I appreciate their attentiveness to us as parents. We're so grateful to have found this daycare and would absolutely recommend it to other families looking for a caring, supportive environment for their child.

Every school will have critique coming from families, including from us. But, admin staff and teachers have always been open in having discussions on ways they can improve, how they can correct an issue, and how they can support our family and son's learning and social development. Open communication and a plan of action or improvement are wha we seek with any issues that we bring up, and the staff has always met these expectations. Our son has grown attached to his pre-school and pre-K teachers. So much so that he says goodbye to his old teachers everyday during pick ups. We look forward to enrolling our youngest son sometime in the future!

(Older kids separated from younger.) One place I toured had 13 year olds with 3 year olds, um NO! I Have OCD and my personality reflects that greatly, the staff here has become aware of my likes and dislikes and and always honor my concerns. If I ask the teachers to take notes of my child's behaviors or bathroom habits they always relay the message to me. My kids are happy here and love their teachers, even asking for them on the weekends. Their summer program is so fun! My kids were in a fire truck last week and absolutely loved it! They have water days and the tooth fairy even visits! always so much going on here. Kindercare also has a bi-weekly newsletter emailed to me that I print out. I love to review the classroom curriculum at the dinner table. My kids always come home signing and their joyous demeanor lets me know Kindercare is for them. This staff works so hard, I could never do what they do. I find when I do have concerns about this facility I reach out to corporate and they respond in a timely manner and correct it. Somethings are out of staffs hands, no matter how many times a staff member tells corporate they need new food carts or baseboards, nothing will even get done until a formal client complaint is made. (which I actually did and now they have both new food carts and base boards!)

I recommend you NEVER put your children here. I put my kids here because they were the only daycare…read morein my area that had room for both of my kids (age 4 and 1), so that I could take my 2 week long course in Phlebotomy. THE VERY FIRST DAY I dropped my 4 yr old off in his class, his teacher was holding a kid by his upper arm and yelling in his face, she told him to,"STOP BEING ANNOYING". I felt absolutely appalled, especially leaving my two sons there, this being the very first time they were put in daycare since they were born. But I spent 3k on my phlebotomy course and has already postponed it 2 times just to find a childcare for my kids. My 4 yr old has autism and cannot tell me if anything happens. I immediately reported it to the program director and she seemed very ""upset"" by it and said that it's unacceptable behavior for a teacher to do that and that she'd talk to the TEACHER to find out what happened. Got a call later, teacher said she "leaned down to his level" and they can understand why I THOUGHT she was in his face and was talking in a stern voice and can understand why I THOUGHT she was yelling. I asked if she had talked to the child about what happened and she said no, then proceeded to talk about the child as if he was a problem child and was always getting into trouble. Even if that is true, WHO CARES? You keep your hands off of children and never raise your voice to kids that aren't yours. Don't work in childcare if you can't handle being around children that misbehave or children generally! Shame on you all. Another thing, I dropped my sons off and as I was walking out of the building a woman walked out of the infant room and said, "I'm so f'ing tired of this sh*t". Wow just wow. My 1 yr old was in that exact classroom as well. These adults have absolutely no self control or patience for these babies and they should be ashamed of how they treat them. From the very beginning during the tour I had a terrible feeling, not welcoming at all, dirty, and the teachers give off bad vibes. Fortunately my sons are in a Headstart that have fantastic teachers that I know they'll be safe with. When I pulled my kids out once I finished my Phlebotomy course (which I noticed them about the day I signed enrolledment paperwork), they told me that I would till have to pay for the next week of childcare. My kids absolutely did NOT go back there and they still charged me $800 for the week of services we never received. On that note, this program definitely packs their classes like sardines, definitely not following the teacher to child ratio guidelines. The food is trash and the entire place is absolutely disgusting. If you love your kids keep them out of here.

When we first started looking for a daycare, I wanted a play-based non-chain environment. DLC was super close to our house, and I loved the philosophies I read on their website. DLC has been more than I hoped. We were there before pandemic, during pandemic, after pandemic. All the time they had a warm and professional staff, helping all of us navigate zoom-school. The teachers are wonderful and caring. The outdoor play area is huge. The school-age kids in the summer do a ton of field trips. They are very communicative. I feel well-informed. They are constantly evolving and improving. But most of all, my son loves it. He is sad he doesn't go there anymore. I think he would love to be a kid at DLC forever. The one where you drop your kid off and they don't cry, they don't run after you and make you feel horrible for having a job. They have a clean face and a full belly when you show up for them. They have a clean diaper for the ride home. They have taken and sent multiple pics thru the day. They have a smile on their face when you pick them up, not running crying to you. They have low ratio supervision. The school that you (literally) have never heard a child crying, and i have been there all hours of the day. The school where the staff is dressed appropriately according to their position. Where there is always a genuine smile (or shoulder) for you. The one where actual projects, sand play, water play, art every day are done and the rooms are not destroyed. In February, that's just what we did. I won't mention the school for privacy reasons but anyone who knows they have changed schools knows i have been raving about them. All our younger kiddos go there currently. All I'm saying is, it makes a huge difference where your children feel comfortable enough to run off from you instead of after you. They also do water days over the summer, which allow my kiddos to splash around in the water table and sprinklers while having a BLAST! One of my favorite things about this school is how much they highlight the kids, they always have their art posted, as well as photos of them playing. They really care about the kids, and do adorable things like graduation ceremonies with certificates that allow the kids to understand their movement into big kid school.
