Harvest Festival October 2019

This is my second review for my second child that has attended The Learning Years. My 2 year old is a moody kid and is complete opposite of his older brother. Miss Helga handled him well. She's been very patient with him. Both of my boys adore Miss Helga. I've always felt the environment and curriculum exceeded my expectations as a parent. Miss Helga is extremely structured and she works with the parents to remain on the same page with each child. She communicates well and is really passionate about her business.

Ari

It's been a year since my grand-daughter graduated from The Learning Years Academy, yet Ariana still speaks of Miss Helga. According to Ariana, Kindergarten this past year, could not compare to the wonderful three years she spent with Miss Helga. Why? Because Miss Helga really cared. Ms. Helga is a loving, warm, encouraging and supportive pre-school teacher. It was clear early on that Ariana was an artist, and Ms. Helga saw that and encouraged Ariana's interest in singing, drawing and acting. Ariana will always Love her Ms. Helga, and grandma will always be thankful for the nurturing and love Ms. Helga extended to my sweet Ariana. Ms. Helga is the best!

Ms. Helga has cared for my son since he was 3 years old, he is now turning 6 this month. For starters, I am one of the pickiest people about anything really lol but especially everything to do with my kids. There is no one I trust more with my child than her. She truly cares about my son and I feel it through her actions. She is patient but has structure which is what my son and all children need. Everything is consistently clean and organized. Thank you, Ms. Helga, for everything you do!

Initially, she was not my first option because it was little farther out than I would've liked but man was I so lucky that the only person who returned my call at the time ended up being a blessing to me and my daughter. Even when I told Ruby the distance may be a factor for why I needed to choose another daycare, she remained graceful, helpful, understanding and willing to offer other recommendations. I was so nervous to leave my daughter with someone but she loves Ruby! Ruby has a gift with children where she's able to accommodate each one based on their individual needs. She offers a calm, stable, nurturing environment and truly makes relationships with the parents so we feel comfortable. She's worth the drive for me because I know my child is in great hands. I have nothing to worry about! Thanks Ruby!

If you are looking for a preschool for your son or daughter, look no further this is the preschool…read morefor you. We recently switched over to Cadence Academy and have never been happier. Our son's behavior did a 180! During drop off our son is waiting at the door knocking and has the biggest smile on his face as the teachers walk up to grab him and at pick up he always walks out with a smile on his face. Which means the world to us as parents as the last thing we need to worry about is if our child is happy or being cared for during the weekdays. Why should you consider switching to this preschool? 1. Cadence has a wonderful app that allows you to see your child's daily activities (naps, food, play, etc). This is a wonderful feature as you can see how your child is performing without being there in person. 2. The teachers! The day before our son started all the teachers came out to meet him. All of the teachers are fun, friendly and awesome! 3. Security. The whole preschool is gated and the doors have keypads, so no one can just walk into the preschool. Also, we are in the middle of a pandemic, and I have never felt safer than at Cadence. They only allow teachers and kiddos in the school; therefore, no parents or visitors can go in the building. They also have large signage listing symptoms that are not allowed. They have done a great job ensuring our kid's safety as well as the teachers during this 2020 year. 4. Learning. Our son was talking and communicating, but not to the degree he is now. It is huge difference. Our son is being read to and completing useful activities that are improving his motor skills as well as communication skills. 5. I could go on listing every reason why a parent or parents should consider this preschool, but my suggestion is to give them a call and see if you can tour the outdoor portion of the preschool or meet the teachers. You will not regret it!

The woman who greeted me for the tour was very friendly, but the other staff/teachers seemed very standoffish. I recall a woman who just sat at the front and was huffing puffing the entire time, as if she was annoyed. The school itself looks fine, but coming from a daycare/preschool that has really high standards for cleanliness and organization, Cadence really misses the mark. It looks run down and unclean. The staff aloofness alone had me turned off to this place.

Rachael made this difficult separation more bearable and comforting. Before we enrolled our daughter officially, she was helpful in showing us her home, and answering any and all questions we had at the time. Especially during these trying times of COVID-19, Rachael has taken all the necessary precautions for the children, herself, and the home to make sure the environment is covid free. Furthermore, it's not a daycare where my daughter is just playing all day. As a 2 year old in her formative years, she enjoys learning through activities Rachael carefully and thoughtfully prepares in advance. We love seeing our daughter come home and wanting to be with her friends and Rachael again the next day as it brings us peace in having to be apart from her through the day. We highly recommend Rachael and her daycare for anyone seeking a safe, loving, and educational environment for their kids! I'd also like to add that her extended hours have helped us tremendously as our commute to and from work is not the closest one. Thank you, Rachael!

You can truly tell they care about the children as individuals. Prior to this, he attended another daycare where it felt like the teachers didn't really know him or pay attention to his needs and as parents, we could feel that. The difference here is night and day. My son is happy, comfortable, and clearly feels safe, which means everything to us. The teachers are always communicative and collaborative, working with us on what's working (or not working) for our toddler. We genuinely feel like we're part of a team when it comes to his care and development. The front office staff also deserves a shout-out, they are consistently kind and understanding whenever we have questions or special requests for our son. I appreciate their attentiveness to us as parents. Every school will have critique coming from families, including from us. But, admin staff and teachers have always been open in having discussions on ways they can improve, how they can correct an issue, and how they can support our family and son's learning and social development. Open communication and a plan of action or improvement are wha we seek with any issues that we bring up, and the staff has always met these expectations. Our son has grown attached to his pre-school and pre-K teachers. So much so that he says goodbye to his old teachers everyday during pick ups. I dont know if that woman had a learning disability or if she just didnt like my kid but calling me multiple times when Im at work to tell me "your daughters not listening and trying to run outside can you come pick her up?" No I cant, I work so you people can get paid, do these teachers not know how to redirect a 2 YEAR OLD and keep them from running out the door? Its pretty simple, ive been doing it for years and im not even trained with kids. After that incident they told me she couldnt come back for 3 days. The day we brought her back she bit someone and they immediately kicked her out. Every preschool and daycare ive talked to since then told me they were wrong for doing that and shouldve handled it differently. I only wanted to bring my child here because she was familiar with a teacher from another daycare that recently started working there. 2nd problem, my children stopped going there in october of 2022 and this daycare was sending attendance forms to child action for november and december. My children were not going there at that time. So they were trying to get extra money from the county for my children that no longer attended that daycare. Idk if this was a racial thing or what but whatever it was, was a mistake because ive lived in Rancho my whole life, I know alot of people out here and I will always tell anyone with kids not to waste their time with this place. My kids go to kindercare now and they love it. So much different and they dont do illegal stuff! Its great! Beware genius kids and the people who work there.
