People who complain about brick-and-mortar prices vs. online should really get a life. At Abra, you can touch, try, ask someone, and you can (shocking!) have your stuff right now if you like it. Try that on your favourite Chinese website! Of course items are more expensive, but you're welcome to wait if you want cheaper. This shop has saved me from many a frustrating weekend where I was missing a bit to finish a project. They have everything a maker would want, from electronic modules for arduino, raspberry pi, micro-bit and the like, to hardware, tools, 3D printers, filament, and even 2020 extrusion in all sizes. My only gripe is that they are only open on weekdays. They would make a killing if they'd open on weekends as well.

I know: I am such a snob. Parts-wise, if you are looing for rows of capacitors and switches that you can actually pick up and touch, this is a terrific place. They have actually overtaken Addison as the better place to buy electronic components like caps, resistors, and board-level things like Raspberry Pi, Arduino and the like. I wouldn't buy semiconductors there (hello, that's what Digikey is for), but if you remember what electornics stores were like in the late last millenium, then you will have pretty good picture of what Abra looks like. they seem to have a lot of imported Asian components these days, but that is pretty par for the course. They have a good selection of soldering supplies and chemicals, whch are sometimes hard to find. Abra is great for the itmes that you need it now. If they have it online, you can just pop over to the store and pick it up.

I saw this Miniso store while heading over to Biiru for dinner. I made a mental note of it and…read morechecked it out before heading to the Just For Laughs comedy festival. This store is the first Miniso that I have ever visited that is not in a mall. It was different seeing a standalone store. You can get cool items at cheap prices. I stumbled on the sunglasses section first. I tried on a few pairs. They felt cheap, but stylish. I like the merchandise in Miniso, although I have yet to buy anything from the store! For instance, I liked the bear USB 4-port hub. It was adorable. It would look great with the bear trash can. I do love the computer and phone accessories. I could look at the USB fans and charging cables all day. There are tons of snacks. If you like Pocky, you can find practically every flavour imaginable. The stuffed animals and water bottles were at the back. I liked the varieties and colours. There were a fair number of folks shopping when I was there. The sales folks were trying to help a person with a question as I walked out. It's a nice addition to the area. Maybe when I'm back, I'll get something and break my browsing streak! (325)

They carry the whole line. So if you have $50k burning in your pocket and want a pair of speakers, this is the place. However they also carry everyday brands like Sonos and TV's by Sony and Samsung. So instead of going to the American Big Box store for your next TV and speaking with a college student that could care less, come here and speak to someone who's career is audio / video. If there's a sale elsewhere, they'll match the price. The store is also decorated with old antique radios and have unique pieces. Highly recommend!

In one word: NO!!!. A 1 star rating is way to high for this place. I am sorry but this would be my…read moremost nasty review because this is the most nasty service I had ever received. I had to calm down for a couple of days before writing it. It is going to be long, so the short version is if you want to get a service (not even a good service) or want to fix something DONT just DONT go to Electro C. I want there since I needed to fix a broken (cracked but working) laptop screen. They told me it will be ready in a week or two, I said cool and told them I am going for a 3 weeks vacation and will pick it up upon returning. When I came back I called them and they said they forgot to test it (You fix something and you dont check it is working???), guess what it had some issues and they said they need to order a new screen. This is when it gets worst. Every week for 2 months I called and every time I got the same answer "it didnt arrive yet", this is Canada not the middle of nowhere it should not take more then 2 weeks. Finally I had enough and went to take my computer, they said the reason is that the owner is avoiding them or something like that so they couldnt even order the new screen...so why did you tell me its in the mail??? dragging me for 2 months ??? But thats not the end of the story, they gave me back the laptop with NO screen, or the one they tried to put which was not the original Dell screen (as they promised they would put) and it had different properties then my original. But Also I gave them a working-cracked screen and got my computer in an even worst condition !!!! I immediately asked for a compensation since I was pissed..the guy in charge immediately went into the back like he is not there leaving me with the repair guy which was very nice and tried to help (I will give him that since it is not his fault), but kept asking me so what do you want? They messed up they should try to offer me a compensation I shouldn't have to fell like I am trying to fish for a compensation. Finally I took something just to get it over with and left for a near by store that told me why did you put this cheap screen ? and fixed the computer in less then a week (ordering the part vie mail). So once again NO !
