Ok I went back to this shop to get a screen fixed for my daughters laptop. saw the same person,…read moreThomas, who said he knew exactly how to fix it and why wouldn't I believe him because he did such a great job last time. He said the job would be done that night and I could pick it up either later that night or tomorrow. Four days later and about fifteen texts about how hard he was working and how difficult the job was I simply threatened to call the police if he didn't return my computer. a day later and two missed appointments later we finally met at Ideas in Aurora mall. The computer was destroyed. Legal alternatives are being explored. Enough said? There is more. The owner said Thomas didn't even work there and that he owed everyone money and that he would fix the problem. I don't have the courage to give the shop a second chance. I went to micro center and bought a new one. I don't even want to drive past anymore.

I will never buy anything from A-1 again!!! I purchaced 2 laptop computers about 2 weeks apart…read more On my computer, I was impressed, and over all was happy with the experience...the store was less then desired and being in the place with my kid was kinda scary. However Thomas took his time to install what I thought was Legal software on it and tried to give me a good product. About 2 weeks later, I bought the same computer for my wife....this time, it was sold without a battery...We were told that a battery would be sent to us, and when it arrived, it was both wrong and also some other computer part was sent to our house. We drove the 45 minutes back down to Aurora to drop this off....about 3 weeks later the battery arrived. During this 3 week period my wife's computer said that "windows is not genuine"....Of course this made me wonder if he sold a computer with stolen software. I made several attempts to contact A-1 and with no phone calls back. This being said the computer that i bought first also has the same problem. I have reported A-1 to the BBB and as of now, they didn't reply to the first letter that was sent....most likely because they cant find anything between the piles of junk. I would warn anyone who goes here to be warned.

Long story short, they're GREAT! What to know why.....continue reading…read more Quick tip: separate your copper, copper with solder, brass out in different containers. It's WELL worth your time. Ever scrapped anything before? I had not. I've been to a couple of different yards before with other people, and I pretty much decided long ago that I'd rather take things to a dump than cruise through a scrap yard. As a homeowner, I started one of those never ending improvement projects, and I just ended up with way too much steel to not turn it in somewhere. After calling every yard I could find online, only one of them took steel for money, and they were jerks. My neighbor has lived in town for 40 years, and he recommended checking this place out as they were friendly and always easy to get along with. They were. Drive past the front of the well signed building, pull up on the scale, wait for the green light (meaning they've logged your license plate and your scale weight,) follow the road around back, chuck your stuff into a pile, drive around the front over the scale again, and again wait for that green light. Park, go inside, tell your plate number, show your ID, sign a paper saying that you didn't steel the metal, get MONEY!!!! Glorious, heavenly, money that you know you need just to break somewhat even from that project that's been bleeding your dry. Then roll directly across the street to their non-ferrous metals (copper & copper alloys) site, and do this again with your buckets. Basically a 5 gallon bucket of copper is somewhere in the neighborhood of $100. Excited yet? Check it out for yourself, know what scrapping is all about, and how easy it really is.

This was my first time at a junkyard and I just found it all soo freakin cool, and the pictures I…read moregot from my quick trip here were awesome!
