This shop is terrible, the new ownership doesn't care about fixing vehicles. He only cares about boats. The office is shambles I went first thing and the shop manager was cleaning up the beer cans from the night before. The owner will tell he's doing everything he can and he will take care of you. After spending around $15,000+ with this shop over the past few years I can honestly say take care vehicle anywhere but here. Honestly I wouldn't bring a boat here either. So Sad, technician's on Wheels has Sold out! The new owners are more interested in Boat repairs than cars. Everyone we knew and work with us for years is gone. I dropped my wife's car off for a "check engine Light". Mechanic cleared it and told me to drive for a day. 5 miles later light back on. Took car back they said 2 cars and a few boats are ahead of me. After 1.5 days & no communication , I called and got a answering machine and no call back so we went over to check on car. Mechanic said he played around with it but I should take it to Ford Dealer(not happening) to get it fixed. No communication, no manners, God Complex! Went to O'Rileys, got the code diagnostics print out. Went home looked on internet found part, ordered from O'Riley's. $83 later problem solved. The previous owner should have never sold. At least not to the current owner. I previously trusted this shop with anything with my car, they were honest, and I could walk away knowing my car was fixed. Now, they'll initially tell me a part is still under warranty, but it's not actually the issue. Reset the error codes by unplugging the battery, then a few days later it pops up again and so does the issue. Boom. They now tell me it's not under warranty and are trying to charge over 1500 for a fuel pump, when other shops closer to where I live are quoting me in the 900s. I work in Denton, live in Gainesville, and previously would be more than willing to make the extra drive to Lake Dallas for a mechanic I could actually trust. I will not be doing that any more. That call came from Darren, that it wasn't under warranty and would be 1500 Picked up my car around 2:30pm Now, it's 5:29, and both me and a family member that was trying to help me get it fixed while I have work are trying to say that it IS now under warranty. This call came from John, that it actually is under warranty. Second time I've been told this. Don't trust these people. This was clearly an attempt to try and get more money. I feel like they were going to get the part covered for the warranty, tell me it wasn't covered, and then pocket the difference themselves. I don't even know if I trust them to fix it under the warranty anyway. read more

I have been to alot of mechanics and this shop is by far the worst place you could possibly bring your car or truck they are not certified. They do not know what they are doing. I had to find out the hard way $2300 later. They will make you think your all good to go just to get that payment and then you find out your problems are still not fixed. The owner David is the biggest scammer I have ever met. Long story short I tried to get my money back and the owner just hangs up on me. Extremely rude people. Of course now I had to file a complaint with the state. Just be aware and do your research before taking your cars to just anyone. read more

I came in here today to get a second opinion on whether I needed struts or not. So after looking over my car I was told that I just needed to have a sway bar link which cost me a $125 versus what I had been told for struts 700 bucks. Took my truck there was charged 179 dollars and couldn't tell any difference truck still runs terrible.

Best mechanic I have ever used! Tony was super friendly and did not overcharge for the repairs. Also there was no fee for the diagnosis of repairs unlike the other mechanics in Lake Dallas who charge $50 to $85 just to look at your vehicle. Beware of this body shop/tow yard. My car was impounded by the police and taken here. I paid for the car to be released. Charge was $650....(insane amount to pay for one day of being impounded) I met dave the owner while getting my car out, he felt bad for me because I had paid this much to have it released(so he says) so in return he gave me his business card with a special offer from him reading "free service from his body shop next door, including all fluids replaced and one oil change". Gullible me accepted this and thanked him for his generosity. (Awesome, respectable old timer I thought!). Three months later I took him up on this offer and used the card! I bring the car up to the shop. They take the car in. Now car is out of sight. First thing they say is we do not have your type of oil. Bummer oh well it's okay they tried right, no biggie. Second they tell me we checked all your fluids and everything is perfect! Great right! They said come back next week we will order your oil. Awesome! Gave the card back for free service. Next morning...bum bum bum. Blinkers are not working? Tail lights are not working? While driving Power steering goes out? Battery dies? And all lights are on. Engine, airbags, tire, everything lol wtf man they destroyed the car somehow. This was the next day. I have never had anything like this happen to my car since the day I took it to this shop. My theory is they messed with my car did some weird stuff to make it break down so that when I bring it back up there they can charge me an outrageous price to fix this crap they did on purpose. My car battery is super sensitive some super tech computer chips in it. When it is disconnected it will cause all parts to fail to work. it has to be reprogrammed. Luckily I own a computer that plugs into my car to reprogram iti am an automotive technician which they do not know that. Scammer azz mf. I'm going tomorrow to call them out read more

Absolute worst service I've ever experienced. Phil and Dave are scam artists. I went to pick up my car only to be told that they had impounded my car! This was after I had paid $457, they decided to tow it. The treatment I received from Phil and Dave was sickening. Having me pay for work they did then having my car towed is completely illegal. Phil and Dave will be hearing from my lawyer come Monday morning. Stay away from this place. They are frauds!! read more

Technicians on Wheels analysis indicated possible repair cost of almost $500. First thing to do was check the #1 spark plug. It was broken. They replaced it. "Problem solved". Final repair cost: under $75. You can't get any more straight arrow than that. Technicians on Wheels is now my go-to shop for auto repair from now on. read more
