I called the company and asked if they could call me when they are close so I can go home, being that I am at work. I stay close to my job and I can get there quickly. The rep tells me, he cannot promise that because they are busy. Ok, so at the 85min mark I decided to go to the house and wait. I waited an additional 35min, when I called Mr. Tow rep he said oh it will be another 45-60min. I asked why did the app give me a different time? He said oh they just give times but they are not accurate. I said how is that great customer service. If I were stranded waiting for 85min is already long, then you want me to wait AN ADDITIONAL 60MIN!!!!!! He said well maybe you need to call a company who can work at your convenience. WHAT!!!! I wasn't looking for convenience...I was looking for ACCURACY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE

Driver showed up in a personal truck tied the strap on and pulled my car out. Took less than 2 min. I asked him how much. He tells me $200. Not even near what I was quoted. He went back and forth telling me I talked to someone else while I know exactly what number I called. No tow truck was used. I was completely fine with paying $95 but was taken advantage of and over charged. He ended up going down to $165. Don't waste your time using this company, call someone else that will honor the price they quoted or atleast generally close. While there was barely any labor involved it was not worth $165. Will not be using them ever again.

First place I checked was on YELP. From the time I dialed Akers towing, they were nice friendly and empathetic. At 1:30pm I…read morewas told that this company had been assigned to tow my car, and the ETA given was 30-60 minutes. As of 4:00pm, I had to have State Farm re-assign the job because the tow truck had still not arrived and I had heard nothing from the towing company themselves. I tried dialing the company directly before I reached out to roadside assistance. The number I used was the number provided by roadside assistance, which matches the number on this page. Nobody picked up my call, and I got a message that the voice mail box was full and unable to accept any new messages. The roadside assistance agent said that she, too, had been sent to voicemail (in fact, she had tried four times) and she also was unable to leave a message because the inbox was full. The complete communication breakdown makes me very reluctant to ever deal with this company again.
