We finally got lucky with Uhaul and ended up at Gustafson's in Clearlake but we decided to ask the guy there (Joel) if he knew a good mechanic in the area. He recommended Burrell's Automotive so we drove a few seconds down the road to Burrell's. Thank you so much Joel! Jim Burrell saved our day!! We really didn't think it would be possible to find a mechanic that would drop everything and replace our alternator in less than an hour but Jim made it happen! It was very important for us to get to Lincoln by a certain time, we figured we'd ask and if it was a no, we would rent the Uhaul and leave our car overnight. What a kind hearted person Jim is to have done this with no hesitation and a smile on his face. Thank you Jim! Maybe we'll have the pleasure of seeing you in Fort Bragg one of these days. 7:30 am on a Thursday in Santa Rosa…read more.. My truck broke down on the way to make a delivery... AAA towed it (and me) to Coogler's on a recommendation from a friend who knows these guys. Stressed? You know it! Concerned about the work that would be done and how long it would take and what it would cost? Absolutely! Who isn't stressed out when their car breaks down, and they're going to a new auto mechanic??? Greeting me in the lobby were three of the nicest guys who just got into work and were in a better mood than I was... Things were looking up already... Jeff was my repair coordinator, and he immediately put me at ease and let me know that they would do everything they could to get me back up and running ASAP. I quickly booked a rental truck and Ubered to the rental location to get it and bring it back to swap the goods and get back on track. One of the technicians (Scott maybe?) helped me make the swap (above and beyond? Yup!) Quick communication on Coogler's part with some texts and emails told me they had found the problem and were on the case. Estimated time to repair? End of today or tomorrow at the latest. That's fast, I thought... Good news too because I've got more deliveries coming up. 'Tis the season... Fast forward ~4 hours and I'm getting a call from Jeff telling me my truck was ready to pick up (pun intended). What?!?!?! 4 hours and it's done!!! Got back to the rental shop, got one of their guys to take me back to Coogler's, and was back in my truck at 1:30 pm. Since then, a couple of genuinely concerned calls and emails asking if everything is still going well with the truck. Normally, when I do business with someone, they only call to ask if we can do more business. This was actual follow-up and quite refreshing. Will I work with Coogler's again? You bet I will! And if you've been looking for a dependable auto mechanic who's going to do a good job of both fixing your car AND being pleasant to work with, you should too!

The woman in the office was so helpful and kind about it! I got there before the updated appt time while the vehicle before me was finishing up testing, and we were in and out like a flash after that! Very friendly, fast flexible service, and great pricing. I only have had one problem and it was a bad gas cap. Timm used a cap he had, told me I had to replace mine, and my car passed with flying colors. His price is reasonable and I am usually in and out of his shop in under 30 minutes. My only complaint is that he is a SF FOURTY NINERS fan.
