I went once as a new patient. They hurt my gums, had to take x-rays multiple times, and then told me lots of bad news about my oral health and said they would have to do multiple things to fix it that my insurance would not cover (sorry, being vague so I can't be identified). I was pretty upset about it and felt a bit weird, especially because unlike my other experiences with other dentists, they told me the bad news but did not show me on the x-ray or offer any explanation as to why they think these things. I ended up going to a different dentist and they disagreed on almost everything Tech Dentistry told me and actually explained their reasoning. I would not go back to Tech Dentistry. Whether purposefully or not, they told me they would have to do MULTIPLE expensive treatments for issues that I do not have. read more

No issue with customer service. I was a return customer due to high turnover at a family dentist. I came by for a cleaning and I was told I have cavities. I went along with it and had the first two filled, I should have stopped when I felt like I was being waterboarded during the procedure. I went back for the next filling and same deal. A week or so later I felt sensitivity to hot cold water ect. I couldn't tell if it was the tooth or my gums. I could not eat on the side with the new filling ( might I add I had zero paid or symptoms of cavities). I went back for an emergency visit and my filling was filed down. The symptoms decreased but i now felt gum discomfort. I refrained from getting any facials as i can feel pressure in the area when i touch my face. So i return and am told I'll need a root canal from a specialist. I so wish i would have ran after the first filling. read more

My daughter (13 years old) missed school due to dentistry's last-minute cancellation of her appointment and redirection to a pediatric dentistry, despite claiming to accept children's appointments on their website. This inconvenience disrupted our plans and caused unnecessary hassle. PS: I suspect that the real reason for the cancellation of the appointment is that they believe my daughter's insurance is not connected to their dentistry (Delta Care USA). Despite her insurance now being active there, they did not want to take the time to verify this information. Instead, they used the excuse of her previous inactive insurance to cancel her appointment. This lack of thoroughness and attention to detail is concerning and raises doubts about their professionalism and commitment to patient care. Additionally, I fear a more troubling reason may be at play - discrimination. It's possible they declined to treat her due to her English not being very proficient, which would be discriminatory (we are from Europe). During her first visit, the technician handling the X-rays was incredibly rude. The equipment used was too large for my daughter's mouth, and despite her distress, the technician forcefully closed her mouth, causing considerable pain. Moreover, the technician attempted to perform the X-rays multiple times without providing any explanation to either of us, even though X-rays involve radiation. As a result, my daughter left the appointment upset and in tears, with damage to the lining of her mouth. Unfortunately, the doctor never provided an explanation for refusing to treat my daughter, leaving me to speculate about their motives. However, it is worth mentioning that it is overall quite a good place for adults. They do a great job - they installed a crown for me. But do not go there with children! My child is attached to my insurance, so I cannot take her elsewhere, and she has been without treatment for a fallen filling for several months now (the US health insurance system is crazy). Also, they always try to increase the price for teeth cleaning, always blaiming sensitive gums. In summary, it's a decent place for adult dental treatment, but your experience may vary with the technicians, some of whom can be rude. However, avoid scheduling cleanings and do not bring your children. If you have one insurance for both adults and children, look for a more child-friendly place read more

It tools months to get an appointment and when we could not find the unmarked building we were told we would have to reschedule. When I replied, I got a response saying my appointment had been cancelled. Tried to call twice, waited on hold 5 min each time before giving up--never got the chance to talk to a person or leave a message. (And, for clarity, their policy is to cancel 48 hours if there has not been a confirmation, it is currently still over 70 hours until the appointment). Second cleaning: Received a text message a week in advance asking me to confirm my appointment be replying "C", and did so. Showed up to the appointment to be told "oh, we cancelled that since you didn't confirm". Showed them the text message, so they "squeezed me in", and I spent a lot of time waiting around First visit: It's fine, I guess. The place was clean. They have TVs everywhere, including the waiting room and every dental chair. I personally think it makes the whole place loud, and find having a TV shoved in my face while i'm waiting on the dentist annoying, but it could be a pro for other people. The amount of waiting here is fine, but the first visit is a bit odd. They take about 100 (honestly, a lot) x-rays of your mouth and spend a while poking your gums with a pic and calling out a bunch of numbers to asses gum health before you ever see the dentist. Worst experience ever! I went in for a general appointment to have my teeth cleaned. I left the dentist thinking my insurance would cover the regular cleaning. I get a bill a couple months later charging me for prophylaxis and 'deep cleaning'. I never asked for this service!! But I couldn't prove I didn't get this and I had to pay for it. The office is located in Stamps Clinic On Georgia Tech campus. Free parking is available if you write you tag number on a clipboard at the reception desk. The office itself is very clean and welcoming, and there is free coffee available in the waiting area (Keurig ftw!). The receptionists though are rude and unhelpful. It is nearly impossible to get ahold of the office on the phone. Also, they are only open a couple days a week and for limited hours. I had to wait a month to get an appointment. The more I come here, the more frustrated I become with their customer service. So much so that I am switching dentist offices. Every time I call, I am placed on hold for 10-15 minutes, their computers are always "running slow" and the earliest they can ever "fit me in" is more than a month later. They've never followed up on call backs or online appointment requests. read more

The worst service ever. I have waited for one year to have appointment at this place, and my appointment has rescheduled 3 times, each time either the dentist has either retired, or has a vehicle emergency, or has a family emergency. What is more, I have friend who had appointment with them and the dentist refused to give toothwash to him and asked him to use the $1000 dollars deep clean service instead. At first it seemed as if they were more interested in taking pictures and x-rays of my teeth than they were about looking at them. Like a teenager in an art museum who snaps pictures of everything and doesn't take time to actually look at the art. The hygienist was very complementary of my brushing. I didn't know before that you can tell if someone takes care of their teeth by repeatedly poking the gums above and below each tooth with the needle-sharp dental pick. Apparently, even though my tooth care looked good to the hygienist, the dentist was not impressed. Maybe if I had lied and told her that I do floss (I don't) she wouldn't have diagnosed me with a cavity. Which is the main reason I'm giving them a review, and why I follow them on Google+. (Because apparently Google+ is still a thing, and because I like to see pictures of peoples' teeth every Sunday. I mean, I would if I ever looked at Google+). When you follow them on Google+ and leave a review, you get $50 off your next treatment. In my case, filling a cavity. My Georgia Tech insurance people tell me that the full cost should be covered. The ladies at Tech Dentistry say it won't. I'm not sure who to believe yet, so I'm filling out this review to get $50 just in case. The TVs are nice. They would be nicer if there was anything to watch on daytime TV. Update: I got my cavity filled today. Everyone was nice and accommodating like the first appointment, and the filling went well. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I called this past Friday to make an appointment for 8:30am this morning which was confirmed before I hung up the phone. Here we are Tuesday morning (called off of work, woke up early, endured excruciating traffic etc.) just to arrive and be told I have no appointment. Not only are there no notes or anything indicating that I have no appointment but the receptionist are looking at me with a "side eye" as if I made it all up. The office "manager" Jordan Milton is EXTREMELY rude and this isn't the first time I've encountered her being extremely rude and disrespectful. I have no idea how she ever made it to become manager. This office is amazing. My family had been going to a so so dentist for a few years. We needed a new one due to insurance changes. Found this group and we are thoroughly impressed. The facilities are very clean, all of the staff are kind and gentle. We were worried based on the bad reviews here. I can tell you from experience, this place is a wonderful office. They are using the top of the line dental equipment and machines. Free water, coffee, & tea in the waiting room. Note.... They also assisted in giving us a referral for our toddler son to a pediatric dentist (required by insurance). They were the only office willing to give a non-patient a specialist referral for insurance purposes. I think we are Tech Dental patients for life. The bad reviews must be from people who have no clue what an adult's dentist office should be (It is on Georgia Tech's campus so a lot of very young students use this dentist for convenience). read more

The worst dental experience we have ever had. My husband went in for a routine cleaning, had to wait for almost an hour with no explanation or apologies, and can't remember the last time he was in so much pain. His bib was covered in blood. Then, at dinner that night, one of his teeth broke in half--no doubt due to the excessive and inappropriate ultrasonic scaler use. I had been going to Tech Dentistry in grad school but had real trouble making time for a follow up. I was elated when they had time this Friday. When I arrived for my appointment I was 5-10 minutes early. They asked me to have a seat in the waiting room and update my insurance information and I set about the unpleasant task of finding my account number. I was having some issues my insurance company (I'm covered through a school and the coverage just rolled over, they couldn't confirm my coverage, would I like to talk to student health, etc.) and decided to submit the claim myself after the visit. I went up to tell the receptionist that I was willing to go self-pay. I was told that wasn't a problem but she'd need to check with the hygienist. It was now 16 minutes past my appointment time. The hygienist refuses to see me and asks me to reschedule because I'm now one minute late (the office policy, clearly stated, is 15 minutes). I had been in the waiting room the entire time and never once given a friendly nudge that I needed to either self-pay or reschedule. I was literally feet from the receptionist the entire time, in plain view. I contend that this is not only an abuse of the word "late" but is, in short, not a way that people should treat each other. The office staff demonstrated rigid adherence to policy over people, without the basic decency I (or hopefully most) would extend to another person under similar circumstances. The office staff was professional throughout our exchange (they did offered to do x-rays but no cleaning, which was a curious offer for a preventative visit) but since I have to take another part of my day off work either way, I'm going to give my business to someone that treats its customers decently. read more

Dr Frank's reply is typical of the bad management at this place. I have never been sent a bill for those charges, ever. The staff people I spoke to in December admitted it. Now they are making up stories to cover their tracks. Yes they called before the appointment but they did not leave a message telling me that I owe them any money. I assumed it was just a confirmation that the appointment was coming, so there was no reason to call back. I still have not received a single bill and by the way the alleged charges were incurred in March 2016. And so after making an appointment and waiting for three months to have dental work done I come into their office and they tell me they won't do the work because a charge I have never heard of and have never been billed for is outstanding. It is wrong to do that. I cannot check with the insurance company I cannot look over my records to see if this charge is correct or not while I'm waiting to have dental work done. Doctor LOOK AT YOUR RATINGS! Every single review on this site is negative. This is not an exceptional case. Last summer, one of my back molars broke. I hadn't been to a dentist in ages, and there was a bad cavity. So I went to Tech Dentistry. No problem, right? They gave me a root canal without medication. Here, let me repeat that- THEY GAVE ME A ROOT CANAL WITHOUT MEDICATION. The crown they gave me was so flimsy it broke within five months. I went to a REAL dentist, who didn't even know what the crown's material was. Also- the one MD there is awful. He is very overly friendly. He was constantly touching me and calling me by pet names. It made me very uncomfortable. But not as uncomfortable as the unmedicated root canal. read more

I used to use this Dentistry when I am in school, and it is not a good one. They treat patients like products, and making reservations is very hard! They do not always keep in time, for example, if you appointment is 9am, you may have to wait until 9:20am to come, and seeing the doctor and do the exam has to wait another 10 to 15 minutes. I think they are sort of closed status, only open on Monday or Wednesday morning. It is normal due to the bad service...I think. read more

I am an employee of the GT, I tried this office out of convenience and it has been wonderful. My appointments have been timely. I've never had an extended wait in the waiting area. I missed my appointment approx 2 weeks ago, called on a Thursday to reschedule and was seen for my cleaning on Monday. The hygentist was excellent, she very personable (not too chatty), and had "gentle hands" If I remember correctly her name is Devin. I would recommend this office. If you can, stay away from this Dentistry. I went to see Dr. Bahia who was supposed to change my crown. She did a 3 hour work with her assistant Darren who totally ruined my gum. My gum is bleeding for last 12 days and won't heal. Can't brush my teeth on the side they did work for 12 days now, not to mention flossing. can't chew anything. After emailing and calling the office multiple times, no answer. Yes, they care very much about their patients- clearly. Darren totally ruined my gum, everything is inflamed and pulsating into my ear. He specifically did an TERRIBLE a job. I did a crown change on another side in DC two years ago and my experienced was nothing like that. Such a horrible experience with Tech Dentistry. The services may have high variability. My experience was terrible. However, I saw 2 people today who are happy with the service. The office is managed remotely. They send reminders and solicit feedback as if professional. However, no one read the feedback. They do not even know the bad reviews at Yelp. The other interesting thing is that the people happy are associated with the HR or Services part of the campus who has the authority to regulate the service. read more

Went to a dentist about a month ago in savannah they told me I need 2 fillings but I was moving to Atlanta so asked tech dentistry to do the fillings but they need a consultation first. Okay sounds good. When I arrived they would not accept my xrays from the other office then they told me I need 10 fillings and said it would cost $2500. I said no drove all the way back to savannah to see the other dentist he told me they were absolutely wrong and accused them of being unprofessional and money grubbers.
