They forgot the peach part of my green tea, 1/2 the amount of boba I get anywhere else (it tasted old, like made 1st thing in the AM & it was late afternoon when I ordered), ~$1.00 more than what I usually pay at other local spots, sticky honey on my arm from the table I sat at & globules of yellow something on the table next to me. 3 girls working, a couple had finished their drinks & left as I walked in... it wasn't busy. Yummy post-surf snack. Came here with some friends after beach. And the staff was great. The young gentleman working the register was very friendly and knowledgeable with the drinks. I got a strawberry matcha with oat milk and it was SO good. I also got a matcha macaron which was fresh and delicious and not stale. As an avid boba enjoyer I really liked this place and thoroughly enjoyed that they had degradable straws and NOT paper straws which I hate lol. The ambiance is welcoming and clean in the cafe. They have MANY options for fillings and types of boba. I can't wait to go back and try more. There is no internet in this area of Dana point unfortunately so you can't really work from there. Way too slow in getting drinks out! They're not busy at all, but it takes minimum 30 minutes to actually receive a drink ordered online AFTER I've arrived at the store. Not sure if it's a training issue or what but it's crazy especially since Teaspoons in the Bay Area are so efficient. Menu is good & drinks taste fresh when we finally get them. read more

Friendly service and they have free samples on the counter for you to try. It was very clean inside, no messy tables. I got the classic Thai tea that automatically came with honey boba. I thought it was the perfect amount of strong tea and the sweetness level was perfect. I'm not a big fan of boba but the texture was perfect and the honey boba actually had some flavor instead of just being a flavorless choking hazard. I like the Carlsbad location so much more! Here our favorite drinks: Strawberry Matcha Royal is way too sweet, Mango on Fire doesn't have enough tajin to feel spicy, and Lychee on lychee is a way too strong black tea and tastes bitter. I hope this review will help them improve. read more

Classic Thai Tea is my go-to order at any boba tea place which makes a consistent benchmark when reviewing a new establishment. I asked for less ice as the staff fill the cups with a lot of ice, so I was underwhelmed at how thin and watery my Thai Tea was. It really lacked taste as the tea:water ratio was off, and would have been even more diluted if I hadn't requested less ice. It comes with boba so no need to add it as a topping for $6.50. The location is good with tables outside next to the carpark area. I tried the matcha tea which was very sweet with a flavor of strawberry, the Taro tea was dense and tasty, also quite sweet but I think you can customize the degree of sugar. Most drinks start at $7.50 before add-ons for non-dairy and toppings. read more

New boba shop in town! My family and I tried the Tara lover, matcha royal (with oat milk), and lady bug (with added guava juice) and it was absolutely delicious! They use real taro so the flavor is a bit different than what you would traditionally get at other places and I really liked it because it was much lighter + less sweet but my daughter and wife preferred the matcha royal better. We all loved the lady bug shaken tea, it was very refreshing and the added guava was a very good recommendation by the kind man who took our order! The only change I would make next time would be lowering its sweet level! Overall very happy to have this new boba shop in town and can't wait to try more of their drinks! read more

All around lovely place. The owner definitely knows what they are doing w these recipes..our drinks were delicious and there are some really unique options here. Very kind and attentive staff that answered our questions and the place is super cute on the inside. We also loved that there are dairy substitutes and ways to make certain drinks vegan. The boba was the perfect consistency and lightly sweet, unlike certain places where the boba is just to add texture and is completely flavorless. Don't order online, it says the order would be ready in 15 minutes, but I waited over 30 minutes for my drink. I got here and they said they had "just gotten the order" but they proceeded to make three other people's orders that ordered after me. After waiting another 5 minutes, they realized my order had already been made and was sitting in a fridge. Incompetent service. Also, they use these horrible straws that don't actually puncture the plastic lid. The straw point got crushed and I had to go home and get scissors to open my drink. When I finally was able to put in the straw, the drink was so full that it overflowed all over my counter. Terrible. read more

Don't really ever leave reviews but in this case I will to spare ya'll. It's not out of hate but just an honest review with some disappointment. First thing, the drinks are seven bucks and only come in a large, so on the super pricey end for a bev. (They had a sample drink out which was the lychee grasshopper which actually a really great drink so gotta give credit there.) I ordered a Brown Sugar Assam and a Strawberry Matcha Latte. The brown sugar milk tea was super watered down. I understand not putting too much sugar because it can overpower some people, and also wanting to actually taste the tea but the tea was mediocre and there was almost ZERO brown sugar taste. You get a sweet drink and expect something sweet right? Then the strawberry matcha latte was just okay as well. There are places that do it wayyyy better like tea maru has a great fluffy matcha or if you want something local there's a new place down the street called TeaSync that is significantly cheaper and better. But it just circles back to a mid drink for a hefty price. Then for service, we ordered in a slow period and they didn't have boba ready... they are in soft opening so can't be too harsh but 15 minutes for boba to be ready is kind of crazy when there's no customers there. The ambiance was nice however, it was super clean and nice looking on the inside. Although I don't pay for something that's really expensive just cause the place looked pretty. To give some credit to my statements I have worked with boba before and have tried tons of places so I feel I have a good understanding of what is acceptable of overall pace, price, and taste of a boba place.
