This is a neighborhood institution. They're open late (4am but I've never been that late lol). Bartenders are pretty cool, you get a mixture of different types of people (neighborhood folks during the day, younger people at night). They have more of a dive bar type feel but have a decent amount of tvs and darts. I love that they sell father and sons frozen pizza, that they can cook for you or you can buy to take home frozen for a good price. My only knock is the place does seem to need a deep clean but what bar like this doesn't. It's a vibe, if you're looking for this type. read more

Nothing good ever comes out of coming here, and it is definitely one of those places you go after the party is over, meaning you only come here once you are already too drunk to care about coming. Everyone who comes here is normally super drunk, and it literally is never busy until like 2am because no one comes here until the other bars are closed. Conveniently, there is a Taco Burrito King right across the street. I've never had a major problem here, but it isn't really a good scene. I've seen fights and arguments here before, and I have also seen people get sick either in the bathroom or outside. Parking around here can get super annoying (No, I am not talking about drinking and driving, but I usually drive with my boyfriend who doesn't drink much and some friends), so I definitely suggest taking an Uber or getting a ride with someone else who isn't drinking much. As if to food left on the floor overnight at Toot's (God rest your soul)- when nightfall takes over, you will see every rat and cockroach you grew up with slither out of every corner, staggering to get to that sticky floor of dirty hotdogs. Every bad decision you'll ever make lies within those doors. But the faces of the workers are so beautiful and friendly that just like the infamous Hotel California- you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave. You will get a lot of stares from across the bar as you fight your way in to get a drink. Don't you worry though, nothing lives within that soul anymore. If they even dared to walk to you, their feet would never bring them that far. When you visit the restrooms you will find your name slandered on the bathroom stalls. You will hear people vomiting and talking about all the people in there tonight that they have awkwardly had coitus with before. When the lights eventually go on and it's time to leave before you can actually see the faces of the people around you, you will likely zombie walk your way to TBK across the street, just to escape death one more time. This is a late night neighborhood bar... where everybody knows your name... and their sometimes glad you came... I came here with a group (one of them was a local and "regular" although she claimed not to be) so we were accepted into the bar. I grew up on the southwest side of the city and this reminded me of one of the many bars on Archer near Harlem that i use to frequent. This is the neighborhood late night bar where everyone goes on friday and saturday nights. Nice place, drinks were fairly priced. Staff was good, it's clean. I have nothing bad to say about it. We sat at a table had maybe two rounds and left before it got super late. If i am in the area, i might go back. It is far from where i live so there is that. Descent crowd and somewhat descent service. The over abrasive bouncers are a bit unnecessary. From all the stories I hear, I could definitely see them getting slapped with a lawsuit in the future lol. The hotshot bartender who wears the v-neck tees is a total douche though. Enter here at your own peril. One of their bartenders was drinking here last Friday on his night off, and cold-cocked another patron who was waiting for a drink at the bar. He proceeded to kick him in the head as he laid on the ground defenseless. An ambulance was called, the offender fled, then gave police a false statement claiming the incident took place outside the establishment, and the bartender was the "victim." Since the bartender was surrounded by fellow employees and friends, they refused to give an accurate statement to the police in order to protect the offender. Owners and management need to fire this bartender and give an accurate statement to the police or they will have a PR nightmare on their hands. If you value your safety, do not go here. Review was previously removed. Came here with a large group around 2 am and took a $20 uber and was denied entry with a valid Indiana ID along with multiple different forms of ID. The bouncer refused to let me in because he stated I needed two photo IDs which is unheard of. The bouncer was extremely unprofessional and the rest of our group was already inside. Friends brought the attention of the manager who was even more unprofessional. They stated this has always been their practice to keep "hooligans" out. For some reason I have returned since with my Indiana ID 2x and didn't have a problem. The bouncer seems to have been removed from his door duties but still not worth coming. This used to be a decent late night bar. It also used to be a decent regular late night bar. All that changed tonight. While I pulled up to Teaser's, there was about 15 people that I could see inside. I took a Lyft from the burbs to Chicago. When I got to the door, I was told that I opened my Lyft car for too slowly. As such, the bar manager said I wasn't allowed to come in. I asked to speak with said manager and was denied. Instead I reordered a Lyft and watched falls no down drunk people walk in. There's plenty of room to bumble around, arcade games, multiple bathroom stars and the crowd you'd imagine (for the most part) bunch of d-bags bumbling around drunk. Backstory: One month ago I received a phone call from an old friend. I hadn't seen her in 2 years. She came into town and gave me a list of bars she wanted to go to with me. I should note that our life paths wildly diverged a long time ago...so yeah, her choice of bars doesn't really "mesh" with mine. But, she's a buddy. I chose Teasers because I've been here before. This isn't my kind of bar but I think it could be a lot worse. Barleycorn's is worse. But I'm not gonna go there...I promised myself no more rants about Barleycorn's. Teasers is clean. Not much selection of beer on tap but they have a few goodies (Fat Tire and Harp). I'd never step foot in here on a weekend but Sunday through Thursday I understand it to be pretty dead. Music is...I can't remember the music. I think the music was drowned out by the 15 or so TV's spread throughout the place with all manner of sports being presented (Ultimate Fighting?!). The bartender was super nice however. Very nice. I was really surprised. In summary: It's a working class bar for working people located in a working class part of town. Not my scene but not a bad place for people who like these places. Big hair still makes an appearance at places like this and many of the males pronouce "th" with a "d" sound. Interesting. read more

They have almost nothing on tap. They actually rely on candlelight at the tables because they keep the lights so dim in this place, which is really not a great idea when all the tables are solid wood and this places is chock-full of the too-drunk-to-what spillovers that somehow wander here after their bars close at 2, since Teasers is open til 4 every night. They don't even have Metallica on the jukebox, even in the "super duper rip-off rate" search mode. Say what you will about that band, but for having sold a hundred million albums, you'd think they'd AT LEAST have Enter Sandman, if not deeper cuts. Barring the fact that this is completely out of my way, by about 8 miles in one direction, this bar is just mediocre. It's basically another version of "that bar" where all the people you never really wanted to see from high school hang out. 6 years later. And seeing the Chicago police outside more often than not to break up potential fights speaks volumes about a good number of the patrons, especially the stalker-ish ones and the assholes coming from places nearby. Madison Street this isn't. The only real redeeming thing is Monday and Wednesday Mug Nights, which other people have explained... except refills are now $3 instead of $2 due to "the new alcohol tax." Which is a load of crap because it's only about a buck more to buy a 12-pack from the store. Still cheap for 24 ounces, sure, but even less appealing than before. I'd almost rather just get a pitcher and save money again. read more

I give Teasers the distinction of the absolute worst bar I have ever visited. It is truly the neighborhood scourge. There is nothing impressive or positive that can be said of this place. The door men are rude and will turn guests away for no reason... I went with my friend, and although I was allowed in, he was not. All they would say is that they are allowed to refuse anyone for any reason... I have my suspicion what their reasoning was, however, and it is disheartening. The service is slow, the bartenders are usually in their own little world, and the place is full of underage kids drunk out of their mind and looking to get into trouble. My advice is to avoid this place... If you're intent on continuing to drink once the regular bars are all closed just bring the party back to your house and save yourself the frustration. read more

If I only knew! my 21st birthday night celebration almost came to an end one Friday morning around2 until a voice from the crowd said TEASERS open till 4! Looking back on it now I am the one who is ultimately responsible for not putting Mr GOOD TIME CHARLIE to bed that very moment. It all seemed to good to be true, a local bar open till 4! The sweet Carney Bouncer who was about 35 with a sour puss on his face and a scruncci in his hair refused to let me in! AGAIN THIS IS ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY to just go home but the fact that he thought I was OVER SERVED as he allows the whole cast from thriller who where obviously belligerent right in front of me struck me the wrong way. THIS GUY IS ZEUS hahaha! I kind of feel bad for him because he never saw my Poker face coming. After 20 minutes of him refusing to let me in because he obviously wanted only 40 year old Gremlins at the bar he didn't even own, I met the owner who apologized let me in AND BOUGHT ME A DRINK. I guess he didnt get the OVER SERVED MEMO from his BIG TIME door guy. It was a nice gesture from the owner but at this time nothing would save Teasers haha not even the deli man in the lab coat cutting up sausage and cheese for people at 3 in the morning. Oh, Teaser's. I had a going away party from my now previous employer at this establishment yesterday. Tim M. and I thought it would be a nice ironic place to hold such an event with some of our office-type co-workers. Turned out to just be a regular bar. The owner was very nice and accommodating to our large group. Ton's of signed sports memorabilia on the walls, cheesy music and darts/golden tee. I will never go back because it is just not my type of bar, but the staff was nice and the prices were decent. They had a benefit for a cheer leading squad come in after 8pm. I felt weird explaining to the raffle people that I just didn't see giving money to a cheerleader's squad was a worthy cause. People are sleeping on the streets! read more
