***Scammed by the Pomona location but this applies to all their locations***…read more WARNING: DO NOT LOSE YOUR MONEY HERE. ILLEGAL CDL MILL & FINANCIAL FRAUD! READ THE BAD REVIEWS!!! Nixon Trucking School is scamming families out of their hard-earned money. They are no longer on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry (TPR), meaning they cannot legally certify or license anyone to drive a commercial vehicle. I am posting this because they scammed my husband and are flat-out refusing to refund our money. * The Multiple Names Shell Game: This business operates under multiple names--including Lincoln Trucking School and Nixon College Division--to route student payments, hide their assets, and dodge legal liability. When I demanded our money back, Karina tried to deflect blame by telling me to "take it up with Lincoln Trucking," even though they are the exact same operation. We gave our money directly to Nixon, and my husband walked straight into the Nixon Pomona yard and handed his cash directly to Karina. * The FMCSA Shutdown & English-Speaking Falsifications: On August 31, 2026, it was confirmed that they were kicked off the federal registry through an emergency enforcement shutdown due to a massive number of regulatory flags against them. In her own words, Karina admitted to us that they just found out about it and believe it was because the "drivers they certified do not speak English." Those are her exact words! This proves they are complacent, willfully tipping people off, failing to educate properly, and putting unqualified drivers on the roads with your loved ones just to make a quick buck. The "Training" is a Total Joke: My husband paid a $500 down payment and only received 2 hours of "nothing." They handed him a packet in broken English / Grammar and left it up to him to figure it out with zero structure, curriculum, or guidance. The instructor was on his phone at times, tried running through the test for him to memorize like he would understand it without proper explanation first and spoke broken English so hard to understand. No safety, road laws, or truck components were explained first and my husband was completely ignored when asking what to do next. They run a cheap "crash course" to cheat the bare minimum of the DMV test instead of teaching how to safely operate a truck and navigate the road. To top it off, once Karina got his cash, she completely vanished and ignored him until he called repeatedly just to ask what to do / study next. * Owner Ricardo Refuses to Refund: They know they cannot legally continue the program, yet owner Ricardo and Karina are refusing to refund our $500 down payment. Karina is actively dodging calls, blocking numbers, and giving us the runaround. She claims she is "on vacation," yet she'll answer the main office phone number after ignoring her personal number and vice versa. Told we need to talk to Ricardo who has made zero effort to reach out and make things right. * The Massive Crackdown & No-Hire Lists: Several hundred fraudulent schools like this are being shut down nationwide. It is all over the news, which is how we found out what was happening and realized they were kicked off the registry. Drivers who graduated from these mills are actively being pulled over, targeted by law enforcement, and having their licenses revoked. Reviews state Nixon is on an explicit "no-hire" list from major trucking companies due to the sheer volume of complaints about drivers coming out of this school. Karina wants to claim they had no idea this happened and that it was a sudden shock. They claimed they didn't know until we brought it to their attention, yet they willfully allowed my husband to come down for his second hour AFTER August 31st! They clearly knew because they were locked out of the TPR system and couldn't log student hours. They were going to keep taking our money weekly until we figured it out. REFUND MY MONEY! You cannot legally honor the program we paid a down payment for and 2 hours of trying to interpret a badly typed packet is not worth $500. Even though I had a great relationship…read morewith everyone at the school, I still want to give future students an honest perspective on the program. If you're looking for a program you can complete relatively quickly and you're willing to put in the time and effort to learn the trade, you can succeed here. However, from my experience, you will have to depend heavily on self-learning and help from classmates. I personally felt that the instructors in both the AM and PM classes could have been much stronger in the classroom and more hands-on in the lab. When I first entered the program, I knew absolutely nothing about the electrical trade, so most of what I learned came from putting in the time to teach myself, practice, and learn from my classmates. Another issue was materials. We would sometimes run short on electrical materials and have to wait a while for more to come in. Even when they finally arrived, the amount we were allowed to use was limited, which made it harder to get as much hands-on practice as we should have. I think future students should know is that job placement assistance was not what I expected. The school tells students that they will help with finding employment, and the website mentions "Job Placement Assistance," but in my experience, I had to do most of the job searching and applying on my own. My biggest piece of advice to future electrical students is: once you receive your ET card and OSHA 10, start applying immediately. Don't wait until graduation. Apply everywhere, email electrical companies directly, call companies, and go above and beyond to get your foot in the door. CET can give you an opportunity to enter the electrical trade, but you need to be consistent and willing to teach yourself, practice, ask questions, and actively pursue employment. Your success will depend heavily on how much effort you put into it.

I had a positive relationship with the director at my trade school. Due to needing to prioritize my…read moreresponsibilities as a father, I informed the school that I needed to take a temporary leave of absence to ensure my personal obligations were properly handled before returning. The school approved a 90-day leave agreement. However, around day 82, before the agreed period ended, the school contacted me and informed me that my program was being shut down. They also stated that I would not receive my certificates and that I would still be responsible for outstanding fees and payments, despite the program being discontinued before I could complete it. I would not recommend this school. As a nonprofit organization, they often experience delays in receiving materials, sometimes taking two to three months. The staff's communication with students is unprofessional, and they do not provide meaningful assistance with job placement after completion. However, if someone is simply looking for a way to pass time, this school may be an option. Mr.Bridges

I called to ask simple questions and in response, I received nothing short of a negative, ugly attitude and as if I was a bother or a interruption to their day. I am pretty confident when I say the staff has to be graduates of this DUI program which they are obviously not rehabilitated. I would expect some form of understanding or even a tid bit of compassion as they do not know me or why I am in need of this class. Or even, at least fake the friendliness as this is your job. Where is the customer service here? Especially since their most important role is to attend to the public and answer any and all concerns. Nonetheless, the staff treats you as if you are a trash addict which is unacceptable. I understand people have bad days, but every single time I call, it is the same ugly attitude each and every time. So just be prepared when calling to get information, whether it is your first time, second time, etc. needing to do DUI classes or calling to make a payment, brace your self for the negative response, quick to hang up, and no help whatsoever. Honestly, I don't even know why they bother to answer the phone.

I was more than prepared, and with my license I hit the floor running. Like Lovella (who also made a review) I too, and several other former students, have gone on to open our own beauty salons & hire employees to continue our expansion. Our businesses are thriving, you can do the research. All of us that have gone on to be successful have nothing but extraordinary things to say about Miss Ruby bc she was the one who pushed & helped us to be as great as we can be. I personally have seen many students come & go while I was a student, whether bc they were graduating or bc they were dropping. Miss Ruby is very passionate about teaching skin care. This is her life and for students to come in & not take the course seriously is insulting & a waste of her time and other students time. There are many young immature girls that enroll & these are the ones who complain and create drama and bad reviews. She does not care about the money and honestly she doesn't care for peoples opinions who do not take this course seriously. UNDERSTAND, YOU ARE WORKING ON PEOPLES FACES!! The tiniest mistake, and you can burn people, scar people, seriously injure, or even kill someone bc you are not paying attention to things they are allergic to or the fact they have a heart condition. If you are not ready to take this class & career seriously, Please, look elsewhere. So please take this into consideration upon doing your research for schools & reading reviews. If you ARE ready to make your Esthetics dream a reality, then this is the perfect place for you! You will see how amazing you can be when you're pushed to your fullest potential! Highly recommended!!
