Through this opportunity, I was able to gain valuable experience as a Case Manager, later work for the county as a Prevention Specialist and Counselor, and eventually serve as an Assistant Program Director at a residential facility. When I was ready to obtain my CADC, my instructor at Healthstaff, Miguel Palos, went above and beyond to support me. We had presentations, homework, research to do, and she makes sure you do it right as well. Ms. Owens is very knowledgeable and I love that Ms.Owens took the time to explain anything we had questions about. It's been 2 years and I still enjoyed my time so much at AUMT for the MA program and having Ms. Owens as an instructor. Lab/externship portion: Mr. Miranda at Temecula location was so patient and helpful in guiding us doing injections, blood draws, taking vitals, and lectures. The time passed fast and was enjoyable! Everyone was super nice. The school did help in finding my externship which i was so thankful for! It was tough but I did it. I was able to gain hands on experience working urgent care, and realized what I liked and didn't like. Overall, a good learning experience.
