Healthstaff has been one of the best experiences I could have ever had. I attended the Drug and…read moreAlcohol program and successfully completed the courses and internship in July 2023. Immediately after finishing, I was hired by the same company where I completed my internship. Through this opportunity, I was able to gain valuable experience as a Case Manager, later work for the county as a Prevention Specialist and Counselor, and eventually serve as an Assistant Program Director at a residential facility. When I was ready to obtain my CADC, my instructor at Healthstaff, Miguel Palos, went above and beyond to support me. He provided exam review sessions, guidance on study materials, and insight into what to expect on test day. Thanks to his support, I passed my exam with confidence and without anxiety. I have recommended Healthstaff's program to many people and will continue to do so--especially the classes taught by Miguel. This program truly prepared me for success in the field.

Miss Courtney was an amazing instructor who went above and beyond to make sure I was not only competent but also comfortable in my blood drawing capabilities. The staff members were also kind and welcoming throughout the course of my program. I could not recommend this place enough!

That's exactly what the HVAC program at UEI College offered me: not just technical training, but a controlled detonation of potential turned into skill. From the very beginning, the instructors didn't waste time with fluff. They were professionals--battle-hardened from the field--who spoke the language of compressors, refrigerant flow, voltage drops, and pressure diagnostics with the ease of a symphony conductor leading an orchestra. And like any good alchemist of air and temperature, they expected excellence... and instilled it. What stood out most was the balance--equal parts theory and hands-on application. Wiring a thermostat, rebuilding a condenser unit, calculating superheat--all of it felt less like coursework and more like shaping a fine explosive: delicate, exact, and beautiful when it all comes together. And the EPA certification? Secured. Career services? Unrelenting. They didn't just train you and shove you into the world--they armed you, with opportunity and confidence. UEI didn't give me a job. It gave me a skill set sharp enough to carve my own path. And that, dear reader, is far more valuable than any temporary safety net. If you're ready to take control of your future, to learn a craft where every degree matters and every wire has meaning--then this is your battlefield. And trust me... it's a glorious one.

Dear prospective students: proceed with caution. I chose AUMT over a school closer to me because…read morethey offered an EKG Certification at the end of the MA program. What happened four weeks into my 10 week program? They TEXT ME to tell me that they are *closing down* the Santa Fe Springs campus, and ask me if I'm willing to double my commute time by going to the Ontario campus to get my EKG Certification, or tripling my commute for their main Carson campus. They weren't even professional enough to send an email - they text me this information, lolz. If you are neurodivergent, and don't learn via lecture/being spoken to for four hours every night - and you have a job? This is *not* the school for you. As someone who works full-time, 10 hour shifts Monday through Thursday so I can attend the five hour in-person lab on Fridays, and learns absolutely nothing from the lecture model? It would be nice to use the required four hours Monday through Thursday evenings to, Idk - LEARN the material required to pass the certification test. But I can't. I'm required to keep my camera on, zone out, and pretend I'm taking in anything from said lecture. The majority of my learning takes place during the in-person lab on Fridays, from the providers at my current place of employment, and during my actual "time off" on the weekends because the four hours of required attendance "lecture,"Monday through Thursday, teaches me *nothing.* To be honest, I'm lucky I already work in the medical field, and at a clinic with providers and nurses that actually care, so they've done more explaining and teaching than AUMT has this past month. In summary, I can't wait for this nightmare to end. Two days of *heavy lecture,* covering multiple chapters/subjects, and two days of listening to my fellow students present a slide show or their arts and crafts project, for 10 weeks is torture.
