So my fiancé and I first came across Raul on Instagram when we saw a photo of an event that he did at the Waterfront Hilton which was the same place we were going to have our wedding reception at. I have always wanted a white dance floor (because the wood style wasnt going to cut it for me lol) for our wedding and I was comparing prices with a bunch of other vendors and everybody had extremely outrageous prices! I really loved the work that I saw on Instagram so I hit him up and he got back to me really quickly via Instagram he then private message me and then moved our conversation onto email. I probably went back-and-forth with Raul in terms of messaging and emails like 100 times or something. Yes I am a very meticulous and paranoid bride lol. He always responded to my emails quickly and efficiently and when he wasn't able to he would let me know before hand that he had an event to do and would get back to me as soon as he was done. He was so easy to work with! I kept asking for pricing on different things over and over again and he never once complained. I ended up getting my seamless white dance floor with a custom monogram (2 colors). are monogram by the way was freakin amazing and was EXACTLY what I had sent him if not better lol. This is what we had regionally set up our contract with. Then at the very last minute I decided to ask for his pricing on pin spotting again and because we were already working with him he decided to offer is a great great deal on the pinspotting! And trust me I have talked to a million vendors about the cost of pinspotting lighting and their prices were extremely high. A lot of them were even quoting me quadruple the price that he was asking for!! I never got the opportunity to actually meet Raul and his team in person but the fact that I never even had to meet him physically and still have a great outcome when everything is truly amazing. They were pretty much all the same till I found Raul. Raul is awsome, he's so professional and responsive that I never had to worry about a thing. He custom ordered my name stencil last minute when all the other vendors told me it was already too late. My stencil came in 2 days before the wedding and of course, that turned out beautifully as well. I'm both a client and coordinator that has worked with the Impulse Team. I always recommend this amazing team to all my clients and use them at all of my events. The team always arrives earlier than scheduled, dresses clean and professional, and is ready to go at any time needed. At a 450 guest event at the California Science Center, Raul insisted on bringing his own power source even though the venue said they had enough for all vendors, but he wanted to be well equipped. We ended up with a power outage (city issue, not venue) and Impulse saved the day - the vendors ended up pulling their power from his source. They were kind enough to even lend out some of their equipment (extensions and such) for some of the unprepared vendors that day. I've had some of the most difficult and last minute clients but Raul has always been accommodating to every single one. With them, it's always easy to get things confirmed since they are so quick with calls, texts, and emails. They seriously offer the BEST PRICE in the industry. I've tried with other vendors but no one compares to the quality in products, service, and price with Impulse. They have everything you need - uplight/ambient lighting, pin spots for your centerpieces/cake/sweetheart table, intelligent lighting to capture those special moments, monogram projection, wall designs, string/bistro/market lights (with or without lanterns), and projector & screen equipment. We hired Impulse Event Lighting to handle the lighting at our 300 guest wedding at LA Union Station in September 2014. Since LA Union Station was not a typical wedding reception venue, it was important to hire the right lighting vendor for the job to really make the unique venue look spectacular during our night reception. Raul and his team did a really great job with the lighting for our Palm Springs wedding! We needed string lights strung over a pool and in the courtyard of the hotel. We talked to and got quotes from other vendors but after speaking with Raul and evaluating his quote he was the clear winner, and he did not disappoint at all. My husband and I were a little concerned that no one was going to be at the hotel during the majority of the installation but it turned out not to be an issue at all. He even texted us when he was finished and let us know some specifics. Most wedding venues and ballrooms are nothing special - you get bland walls, hideous carpets and chandeliers that someone thought were a good idea. We LOVED our venue but hated our ballroom and we knew we would need significant work transforming it. After interviewing 4 or 5 different decor vendors I found Raul on Yelp, sent him an email that night and received a response the next day! A week later we had our contract signed and a plan in place. He came out to our venue (which was REALLY far away from him in Oxnard, CA), met with our coordinator and gave us his vision for the room. We draped the entire room, put in a seamless white dance floor, had uplighting throughout the room and pin spots on the centerpieces and cake table. When I walked into our ballroom on our wedding day my jaw dropped - it was not the same room that I'd walked through the day before. We met at his office, Raul had everything imaginable that we needed for our wedding...lighting, chairs, tables, drapeing , dance floors, personalize logos. I asked Raul to work on a personalize "Dodger Logo " ( see in pictures) for our dance floor and it came out amazing. On the day of the event Raul's team where punctual. Impulse Event Lighting did my outdoor wedding reception this past weekend (300+ guests), and it was amazing. I'm a professional event planner, so I work with a lot of vendors. Of all the vendors I evaluated for my wedding, Raul and his team were the absolute best in terms of service, design, and price. We met with Raul and Danny, and basically asked for a candlelight glow and that's exactly what they accomplished. They transformed our "plain vanilla" wedding venue into a more personalized, warm and inviting space. DJ Danny had our dance floor packed all night. Awful customer service!! First, the owner Raul stood me up when he said he would meet me to do a site walk through for string lighting for my wedding. He apologized and said he forgot, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt and set up another appointment to which he showed up and gave me a quote. He said he was available for our wedding date and would email the contract the next day. A few days later and I still hadn't received an email and he was not responding to my phone calls. I called him consistently within the next couple weeks and he never called me back. Today he finally answered the phone and said he is busy and can't do my wedding!
