I hired DJ Mora for my 40th Birthday party two weeks ago. I have requested to incorporate a list of my favorite 220 songs from my era (80s, 90s, 2000s) and top 40 as well as Reggaeton music a week before. He said he grew up in 80s like I did so familiar with the music of the era but not too much regards to Reggaeton. He asked to bring MP3 or Data CD of the songs I want him to play instead. I was not able to burn the list via iTunes, so I sent him the list in Excel. He assured me not to worry about it since he'll take of it. On the day, he did arrive early, appropriately dressed and set up promptly for the event. However, throughout the night, instead of playing lounge music while guest were arriving, he plays mostly electronic pop. When requested, he played very little 80s, 90s, 2000s and less than a few songs of Reggaeton. I had to request at least about 4-5 times to either shorten each song so that he can mix more of the songs I'd like to hear as well as to change up different types or genre for the crowd with different ages. He did offer to stay extra half hour with no charge but almost everyone were gone at that time except family members. He seems like a well respected and well known DJ around the world due to his charity work. However, to me he is more like a Club DJ rather than an event DJ. I wish he would have followed my directions and play list I have provided a week before and make sure at least 80% of songs are available in his data base to play. read more

I hired BEST LA DJ for my wedding, on 1-17-2015. Simply put, they were wonderful. Mark was our "sound host" for the evening. I fully recommend them for any event where you are trying to get people to dance. More details below if you want them. For starters, before we arrived, the DJ kept the guests entertained by talking to them, walking around the floor, and essentially hosting the reception. After we arrived, he introduced everyone with perfect pronunciation and with a little flair that was appreciated and not overbearing. Once we got the party started, he didn't say another word, and people were overflowing on the dance floor because of how well he transitioned between songs and how well he read the crowd.
