Everything about me an my wife's experience was terrible. Not only were we looked up and down as we walked in through the door wether it's our appearance, we are lesbian, or because we are Hispanic... all around weird vibe. The young lady that we got never presented herself or even bothered to listen to my wife's haircut request. Failed to tell us she didn't understand the request or couldn't do the cut. She cut my wife's head to the point where it dripped blood not just a nick. All in the 8 minutes we were in there... said "Done. We got right in as a walk in and were greeted with many smiling faces. They have a pup on site too that's so friendly and makes the environment more enjoyable. My daughter got a trim and they did such a great job with her and did exactly what was asked. They have a punch cards for kids so you can get deals as you bring them in. We will be back! read more

Ladies, think twice before using this salon. I was greeted by a man. When I asked for a hair cut he led me to his station. I was reticent because he seemed impatient. When I sat down and tried to explain the haircut I wanted, he seemed perturbed. He then criticized my haircut. I liked it. He didn't listen and was rude. My two daughters own a salon in Truckee, too far of a drive. I've tried 10 different salons in the area, just looking for a good, normal, man's cut. Mike's TeamClips is the only really good haircut I've gotten in the area. His haircut are about on par with the very best haircuts I've ever gotten. NO B.S., at a very reasonable price. All the other salons have greatly raised their prices. I'd rather give a good tip than be charged a high price. Went in to get a cut and color explain to the woman they did not want red. I did not want brass I did not want white I wanted highlights came out. I don't even know what color it is red orange daughter's birthday party turning 26 years old, try to make myself look better had to wear a beanie, do you not go there ask for the haircut literally she started from the back trim the sides never touch the top never trim the sides with my layers. A girl who works there named Katherine did a keratin treatment for me that left my hair fried and matted down to my scalp. When I told her I didn't like the outcome and asked for a return she had the AUDACITY to say we agreed on no refunds which I never recalled on. $200 DOLLARS I waisted just for my hair crisped and hairline to be pushed back. I went to get a haircut. The barber was wearing a bandana around his neck. When he approached me, I asked him to please put his mask up. He refused. When I went to the desk to get another barber he told me he was the owner. The other barber was wearing her mask below her nose while cutting someone's hair. I can always count on this shop for a great haircut. Staff is friendly and I suspect all the crew give great haircuts, but I always ask for Laura as her cut is super every time! No doubt other places do a good job - however, I like knowing my hair will be right and that I will enjoy the experience. A horrendous experience!!!!! First, I was misquoted for the price of a simple wash and blow. I even verified the price when I arrived at the shop with the stylist. She did not seem very confident, and I was extremely unhappy with the result. When I went to pay, I was told price was 20.00 and not the 13.00 I was quoted. The manager even told me that if I didn't pay $20.00, he would call the cops on me. Happy Ending though: I disputed the charge and was fully refunded back. Horrible, Horrible Service! She walks in as he finished up the other person. He skipped me and took the kid! WRONG. He saw me come in said hi and knew I was there waiting. I will NEVER go back. And the older lady that works there gives horrible cuts last time I had to have her fix things before I left and then it was totally uneven took me two months to grow it back. In early April, I went to my normal salon, but my stylist was out. I needed a haircut for an important meeting the next day, so I decided to try Team Clips. What a HUGE mistake! My stylist was Linda. Since she's an older lady, I thought she would have had a lot of experience. I asked if she could cut thin, fine hair, and she said that she could. All I wanted was the hair cut over my ears, a little off the top and some off the back. Linda ended up gouging a big chunk of hair off the back of my head behind my ear; took most of the hair off the sides of my head, and then whacked a bit off the top. By the time she was done cutting my hair, I looked like I'd put my head in a Cuisinart. She didn't say a word; charged me a senior's price (I'm not a senior) and then sent me out the door. I was so horrified that I couldn't say a word. It's now almost the end of August, and my hair is just long enough to be cut gain. DO NOT GO TO TEAM CLIPS. You'll be SORRY! read more

We came in at 645 and they turned us away because they "we're closing" at 7. We don't usually like to go to places right before they close, but we don't get out of Tahoe that often. I have (until today) gotten my hair cut at this Team Clips location for the past 6-7 years. Mike was the best they had there (no offense to anyone that works there), but he brought in a lot of that business and for good reason. I tried to ask where he went and the employees wouldnt tell me and looked scared to. I later found out the employees were threatened with their jobs if they gave out his number. I went here every 2 weeks for 7 years and i will never be back again, nor will i ever reccommend it. read more

I came in for a haircut and coloring. My stylist took a dinner break after putting color in my hair. I suggested that the color was getting awfully dark. She continued to eat her Chinese takeout. When she finally came to remove the color I found she had used the wrong color and was three shades too dark. I looked like I did the coloring in my sink with black shoe polish. All the stylists were just snickering and babbling with amusement. I left looking like a freak. The next day the stylist offered to use more chemicals to remove the excess color.
