I was assigned Jimmy, Anderson, and Jose, and from the beginning, they were patient, professional, and understanding. When we arrived at my storage facility, we were met with something completely unexpected, my belongings had been severely damaged due to an infestation at the storage facility. I was unaware of the situation and was completely shocked to discover that rats had destroyed many of my personal belongings. The movers explained that because of the extent of the damage and infestation, they could not safely pack everything. Despite the circumstances, the team showed incredible compassion and understanding. Knowing I was already overwhelmed especially being pregnant and dealing with such a stressful situation they still did everything they could to help salvage and move what was possible. Unfortunately, some items had to be left behind because the damage was simply too severe. I was moving from Southwest Houston to the Galveston area, nearly an hour away, and despite the unexpected delays and challenges, the team worked quickly to load, transport, and unload my belongings at my new apartment. What stood out most was their kindness at the end of the move. I came up short on the remaining balance due to everything that had happened unexpectedly, and they showed empathy and allowed me to pay what I had available at the time. That level of understanding meant more to me than I can put into words. This move was one of the most stressful experiences I've had, but Jimmy, Anderson, and Jose showed professionalism, patience, and genuine compassion throughout the entire process. I truly appreciate everything they did for me.

I chose Houston Supreme Movers company because of the reviews. This was the worst mistake and…read moremoving experience I ever had. Maybe I was treated this way because I am a single mother. Gabriel at first was very professional. And I was extremely transparent in communicating my moving needs. I explained to him up front that I had several large pieces to be moved. Three armoires was the heaviest of pieces in the move. Everything had to be moved from one storage location to another location. All on the ground floor. He sent an employee named Erwin to head the move, an older man a young kid. Erwin moved very little items from the storage unit, he just stayed inside the unit and waited on the other 2 movers. FYI: I hired 3 movers total, not 2. About a hour and half into the move, Erwin got to the armoires that I mentioned to Gabriel about and stop, then I realized why he wasn't helping the other movers. Erwin stated that he couldn't move the armoires because "he had a bad back". So I called Gabriel and ask him "why would you send me a mover with a bad back" and "if Erwin has a bad back, why is he in the moving business?" And the 2 other movers were an older man and a young boy. Gabriel assured me that he would send someone else the next day to finish the move. I explained to him that I was on a time constraint, because I had to move out of the storage by the end of the month. Gabriel promised that he would make things right the next day, because I stressed to him if I hired a new company, I would have to pay another initial fee and truck fee. Gabriel again assured me that he would make things right. But next day he ignored my calls and texts, and I never heard from his company again. I lost over $500 dollars with Houston Supreme Movers because I had to pay another $350 a month in storage rent for not vacating before the first of the month, initial fee and truck fees to hire another moving company. I had to hire professional movers from Antonio's Movers who had no problem moving heavy pieces because they are professionals. Look a the picture below! Professionals!

Because of this I was not available to come to Houston for an in-person estimate. I contacted about 10 moving companies and this was the only one willing to give me an estimate based off of photos, inventory list and sizing info of the storage unit (with the condition that the estimate may be off based on the fact that it wasn't done in person- which is totally reasonable). I was so grateful that they were willing to work with me on this since it saved me from having to take time off work and travel all the way across the country just for an estimate. The estimate that I received was clear and competitively priced, so I went ahead and hired them. My father met them at the storage unit on the day of pick up and he was very impressed by how carefully they wrapped all of my belongings up. While the truck was en route to Chicago, they kept me updated daily with the location of the truck and that it was still expected to arrive on time. The truck arrived on the guaranteed delivery date and within the time frame they said it would, even despite a snow storm. The three men who unloaded were very polite and hardworking. They got the job done impressively fast and took great care of my home and belongings. Because I had not been able to be in Houston, I underestimated my inventory list by a few items, but it resulted in only a minor price increase (by no fault of this company- it was my own fault) and otherwise the estimate was very accurate. Overall communication was consistently excellent, pricing was competitive, they stuck to their word with pricing and delivery date, and they were very hardworking people who took great care of my belongings. I would 100% recommended this moving company to everyone.

I've spoken to and/or received quotes from approximately 2 dozen moving companies over the last few…read moreweeks. "Long Dist. Movers" is, by far, the most arrogant, asinine, childishly silly, and mathematically challenged moving company I've ever encountered ... in my life. They seriously imagine we're supposed to submit to them a detailed list of the items being moved and apparently they think they can "calculate" what they want to use (i.e., what they want to charge you), not what you actually need. If you've moved before and added/subtracted certain types of items (e.g., appliances, larger or smaller sofa, gaming computer), then you pretty much know how much more/less truck space you'll need as compared to the last move. Worse, their expectation is that you'll be perfectly okay with them separating all your possessions ... that you'll NEED in your new home ... and storing them behind their fence somewhere and you'll just sit in your empty house without the ability to start organizing, cooking, cleaning, etc. It's utterly insane that anyone thinks that's a reasonable methodology. Every other moving company I called bases the move off the truck(s) that will be needed, yet this one somehow escaped from la-la land and bases the move off an "item count", lol. When I clarified that, YES, you can know what you need based off prior moves, the guy said "Oh, it doesn't work that way". No, sweetie ... YOU won't be working that way, not today, and not with me.
