But wait, there's more! If you thought getting your hands on a fishing or hunting license would be a piece of cake, think again. We approached the lady at the service desk, the one that didn't so much as wave at us as we walked in and asked for a fishing license. Now, I'm not sure if what she said was true or if she just didn't feel like making it, but, surprise, surprise, the printer was as broken as my dreams of getting any customer service in the place! The crazy part is that hunting season starts just next month. I wonder how much this place is missing out on?? All in all, if you're seeking an adventure in customer service wilderness, head over to Bass Pro Shop. Initially we said we didn't need help but when we did need help we were able to find someone. The young lady that helped us seemed somewhat pushy but nice. She asked my son if he wanted to check what type and size she he needed based upon a machine measurement, he agreed. She brought out several shoes and helped him try them on, I found it odd that she refused to bring shoes that didn't fit with the type of shoe that the machine recommended when we asked for them. My son also asked for a different size but she didn't want to bring another size other than what he measured. We probably would have bought some shoes from them had she brought out a larger size. She seemed to get agitated when I asked her if they carried a certain brand that the didn't carry and also seemed agitated when I asked for a certain shoe that they didn't have at this location but did have at another. The kicker for me and the reason they aren't 4 stars is that she tried to charge us $15 for using their measuring machine when she never mentioned that there was a charge before we used it. They have a decent selection of shoes but not amazing and the shoe wall seemed super unorganized, unless there's an organization system that I wasn't aware of. They have a few products other than shoes but they are a little sparse. The prices were on par with other shoe stores but more expensive than Amazon.
