I loved how back then I could walk in, pick up a rifle, and point it through the store to look the scope. Wishing I had the money for it back then, but knowing I could not afford it. Then I grew up and as I did so did the prices of said guns; so just like the teen me I can only dream to have enough money one day to buy the rifles that I like. However, I have purchased a couple of fine quality shotguns from Baynes and they lasted quite a few years before I sold them or just stopped using them. I was never a hunter, just liked to shoot. Which is another reason as a teen Baynes was so great; they had their own members only rifle range out near the Walter B. Williams Park and I was lucky that my parents purchased me a membership. Shooting guns with my father was always a great outing for us. But Baynes is so very much more than just guns. They have knives too. lol.. No seriously, they carry everything from clothing, to camping equipment, to hunting supplies, to fishing supplies, and everything in between. I use to even get my shoes and boots here when I was in military school down the road.

She asked my son if he wanted to check what type and size she he needed based upon a machine measurement, he agreed. She brought out several shoes and helped him try them on, I found it odd that she refused to bring shoes that didn't fit with the type of shoe that the machine recommended when we asked for them. My son also asked for a different size but she didn't want to bring another size other than what he measured. We probably would have bought some shoes from them had she brought out a larger size. She seemed to get agitated when I asked her if they carried a certain brand that the didn't carry and also seemed agitated when I asked for a certain shoe that they didn't have at this location but did have at another. The kicker for me and the reason they aren't 4 stars is that she tried to charge us $15 for using their measuring machine when she never mentioned that there was a charge before we used it. They have a decent selection of shoes but not amazing and the shoe wall seemed super unorganized, unless there's an organization system that I wasn't aware of. They have a few products other than shoes but they are a little sparse. The prices were on par with other shoe stores but more expensive than Amazon.
