I dropped in for a week and had an amazing experience at Team Repscheme. I've been to lots of CrossFit gyms and this place ranks at the top. Some things that stood out to me were: *Solid programming that was fun and challenging. I got a solid workout every day, but it was also balanced so I didn't feel rundown. It also seems like the programming builds week to week with certain strength movements so it's not random workouts each day. *Really great coaching. The coaches explain the workouts thoroughly, warm up members effectively, give great cues and pay attention throughout the entire class, and scale the workouts to all abilities. No one is negative about what they can/can't do and you will not feel singled out at all for being a beginner and going light. *The community here is friendly, kind, and welcoming. They make an effort to plan events and bring their members together. *I personally really liked that they offered an area for the kids with a fully equipped tv with disney plus, hulu, etc as well as a couch, toys, table etc. It was awesome to bring my daughter with me too and she enjoyed herself. So update on my previous review on Team Repscheme. To me is honestly the best CrossFit in San Fernando valley. Since I joined I have gained so much strength and resistance. I couldn't be happier with the workouts, they are the perfect combination to gain muscle and lose weight. I am also really happy about the many people I've met and I now call friends. I've tried other CrossFit gyms in the area and the programming just doesn't do it for me. Plus some coaches go above and beyond to make my time in this place exciting. Completely recommend it. The best part is no matter where in your health journey you're currently in, everyone is welcome. Let me tell you I have not regret my decision to move over one bit! This place is amazing!!! The coaches are super helpful and nice. The owner is personable, encouraging, caring, and sincere. I've been at CrossFit Repscheme and love it! The coaches are beyond amazing and go above & beyond to help everyone out to make them better. Everyone that works in there loves what they do and it shows. It is like having a second family and I love stepping into the gym. The coaches truly are being the change in helping so many people make a difference in their life. The gym is very big and often they do two classes at once. They have three Olympic lifting mats. Also, there are 6 restrooms which is really awesome. They have a kitchenette area on both sides of the gym. You can wash your hands and also thy have fruit baskets on both sides. You can even cook if you really wanted too. Another plus is if you have children they have a kids room that has couches, toys, and a television. It doesn't get better than that you can work out and your child can hang out and have fun. There are so many amazing things about this gym. read more

This was my first crossfit experience and it was fantastic. Most folks do the mixed-level classes which meet a few times per day (schedule is on their website), but the new-to-crossfit classes are excellent for first timers learning the movements or if you're a little more out of shape - those meet regularly as well. The program is designed to be extremely scalable for any level, from a complete newbie to a former marine - and because you're part of a class, everyone is suffering together, which really brings about a good sense of community and team encouragement that keeps everyone working hard. The coaches are all super personable and fun. A typical class will get your heart rate pumping and muscles burning in a 1hr workout that flies by. There's a huge variety of exercises, many strength based ones which focus on core muscle groups (deadlifting, squatting, snatches, overhead press, cleans, etc.) as well as a mix of aerobic exercises (running, rowing, cycling, jump rope, etc.). Again, if you're a total newbie everything can be scaled, including the more difficult stuff like rope climbs, pull ups, and handstand push ups, so don't be intimidated. I have been going for ~3 months at this point and am blown away by the progress I've made - I highly recommend crossfit (and this gym) to anyone looking to get started with a strenuous but rewarding workout routine. Very disappointed, the people running this place are thief's. I signed up for a CrossFit membership in November. They asked for my credit card for automatic pay each month which I didn't think was a problem. After 3 training sessions I got injured unfortunately and was in serious pain). I asked Anthony the guy in charge to pause my membership until I get better. Since then I haven't been able to work out, but to my surprise my card was charge each month 175 dollars. I went over to the gym and asked them to stop the payment twice. Left 2 voice messages, text messages and my calls where not answered. We are in April and still my card is being charged each month. My credit card company of course disputed the charged, however I went to the police and filed a personal charge against the owner Anthony. My experience was so bad and I hope this post will help people like me with similar situations. Straight up these people are dishonest and thief's. read more

Tried out Rep Scheme for the first time last week. Although not new to Crossfit, I am cautious about pushing myself to extremes that I may not recover from too quickly. I appreciated the time that Brian put in to scaling my working out down, without making me feel inferior, and not creating a distraction for the class (so the other members weren't bothered). I was encourage to push myself harder by both the coach and my peers. I've been walking funny for two days as my hamstrings try to recover in time for my next visit this week. I found this box by searching for a CrossFit gym in Northridge. Being that I am a mother, I found it comforting to see other women show up. They have a play room for small children (a plus for new mommies). Crossfit works for me. My only concern is that the workout room isn't air conditioned, so unless I catch the 5:30am class in the summertime, I may not make it out alive. I'm looking forward to more classes and training with the other coaches to determine if it is "as good as it gets" (for five stars). Don't let the four starts keep you from this place. I encourage you to try Crossfit, and try it at this location. read more

I can't say enough nice things about this place and that's funny because I never thought I'd like Crossfit. Up until I joined I was content with a gym membership where I worked out mostly solo, spent a lot of time at the gym and sweated a lot, and thought I was making good progress. I had no idea how bad my mobility and technique was, how fast I could be moving, and most importantly how a workout could be both incredibly difficult and fun at the same time. RepScheme offers 1 complimentary week for those who want to give it a try. The free week doesn't come with any strings attached and allows you to participate in any of their classes. I opted to attend the beginner classes and was immediately impressed by the large facility, supportive community, and great coaching. For a long time I thought I knew how to squat and thought my flexibility wasn't bad; I based this on my ability to touch my toes and move heavy weights in a limited range of motion. I can't tell you how many times I've been humbled since I've joined and the reason I keep coming back is because the community (coaches and members) is exceptional I continue to make incremental progress. I started writing this review last August and thought I had submitted it almost a year ago. Fast forward to today, I'm still a member (very happy too), my wife has joined and loves it, and recently my kid became a member too. We continue to make progress and push our boundaries and although the workouts will never be easy, we look forward to them and make them a part of our daily routine. This place is such a rip off. I started going in February/March, and that quickly ended because of COVID. I've been calling every month to cancel my membership because they aren't even open, and no one answers the phone. I can't leave a message because the voicemail box is full, and has been since April. Every month they continue to take my money, knowing damn well they aren't providing any services. And every month I have to dispute the charge with my bank, but this gym still gets their money. Isn't 2020 shitty enough as it is? This place doesn't care. They are taking advantage of everyone who signed up because now we have no way of canceling the reoccurring payments. I don't have any social media, so I have no other way of contacting them. They clearly don't care about any of their members. They only care about money. Definitely will never go back. WOW. These people are INTENSE. I did the complimentary 1 week trial and it was great! The people are very motivating, no one's judging...everyone is there to help you! Sometimes going into certain gyms I feel an extremely competitive vibe, but not here. It's competitive, but everyone is helping each other, which is what I like the most! Loved this place. The only reason I'm giving it one star is because they overcharged me. I started the last week of January and the trainer told me they would only charge me for the week but instead they charged me the whole month. I called and tried to cancel my membership with them which I did and they still charged me another month. Not happy at all. read more

I joined CrossFit Repscheme after I saw the transformation that my nephew went through from lazy chubby guy to an active gym freak in 3 years! I decided to put my kids there so they can start at early age but at the same time I thought why not me too! I will tell you, I never regret joining that awesome wonderful worm place and it's team! i am real lazy ass when it comes to working out, but every session i have attended here, i have never worked out harder in my life. some people may be intimidated working out with people that are in much better shape but everyone there is very supportive and pushes you to your limit which i like. the motivation really helps. i don't have a lot of free time in my schedule so it works out perfect that the workouts are fast, and super effective. i think their rates are extremely reasonable, considering a personal trainer at a gym is around $50-60/hour. Here it's practically as if you have a trainer, but at a fraction of the cost and you can go to as many classes. i didn't think i'd like going but i would recommend this gym to anyone that wants to get/stay in shape but doesn't have hours to spend at the gym... read more

I did the free week trial but only made it for the two sessions. I was told to come in and try it out and I'm so glad I did. When I came in I was greeted by Dustin and he made me feel welcomed and very comfortable since I was the only one starting that day. It can be intimidating if you're a beginner but I was instantly put at ease. Dustin spent those two sessions with me one and one and went through everything with me in regards to positioning and getting my forms right. I was already doing deadlifts on the 2nd session and I'm surprised how much I could lift. I've always been strong with my lower half but never on my top. I have backs pains which comes and goes so I was a bit concerned that I might make it worse and injure myself but I was wrong. I'm lifting weights here and not had any back pains. I feel that I'm strengthening my muscles all over my body including my back. Also I suffer from asthma and I'm glad I haven't had any wheezing from doing this. I'm building up my stamina bit by bit by coming here and it's doing me a bunch of goodness! I didn't need a week of being here to discover it was for me. I already knew just after two sessions! Perhaps I had a great coach! Thanks Dustin! Got myself signed up yesterday. Boy am I in for a treat! Lol Seriously if you have never tried cross fit. You have to give it a shot! You'll be surprise on how much you can actually take and it's an amazing feeling after each session. I know cross fit isn't for everyone but for those who love to be challenged everyday and if you want to see good results i'd say go for it! I was going to the gym for the past two years but never felt this great. I've already lost 3lbs in just two days at cross fit and eating clean. I'm so glad I found something that works for me.
