Huge thanks to Rise Personal Training and the entire team! After a torn tendon that was expected to require surgery or a very long recovery, I decided not to wait--I joined a gym where every workout is tailored to your body and your injuries. Just 2.5 months later, I've almost forgotten about my shoulder. The pain that once kept me awake at night is gone as the muscles around the injury grew stronger. I never thought I'd be waking up at 5:20 AM to train five days a week, but I'm so glad I gave myself that push. Thank you to the incredible coaches. read more

I just hit my 3-month mark, and I can honestly say this has been hands down the best workout experience I've ever had. After having two kids, it had been a long time since I'd consistently worked out, and I was struggling to get back into a routine. I knew I needed something different from the typical gym experience. One thing I really love is that this is not a traditional group workout, which I had tried before and realized just wasn't for me. Yes, you're working out alongside other people, but you have your own station, and the workouts are customized based on where you are physically and your personal goals. I enjoy the workouts, and Trainers Chris and Sam have been amazing. They're experienced, focus on proper form, and push you to challenge yourself in all the right ways -- which is really important to me. I recently hurt my back (not from working out) and had to cancel a couple of sessions. They reached out to check on me and discuss modifying my workouts to help me recover and get back to normal. That level of care and support is something you don't usually find at gyms or workout studios. Most importantly, I genuinely feel like I'm making progress. I'm feeling stronger, more confident, and excited to keep going. Thank you, Rise team! read more

I've been going to Rise off and on for a few years, and I keep coming back for a reason. Ryan and the team of trainers have truly taken the time to understand my needs and work around my limited mobility due to my ankylosing spondylitis. They have personalized my workouts to ensure they are safe and effective. Going to Rise has really made a difference in both my physical and mental health. I am beyond grateful for their support, patience and dedication to helping me reach my fitness and health goals. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a gym that cares. read more

Rise Personal Training - Birthday celebration, including drinks and snacks! I love it here! - Trainers Near Me - Granada Hills, California

Let me start off with saying the owner has such a beautiful heart. I took his classes years ago and stopped because I moved. Till this day I brag about how strong that class made me, not just physically but mentally. My daughter still attends and is truly happy with all the trainers. They make sure your form is correct so you don't get injured. Their class sizes are small so it feels like personal training. Not once I felt overwhelmed nor my daughter. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to cross paths with the owner. If you live in the valley go try out Rise, you definitely would love it. Thank you Ryan! read more

I've been a Rise Member for years, after belonging to typical chain gyms and numerous short stints with expensive personal trainers. I needed a push, and I was able to put aside my inherent paralyzing fear of fitness classes to try Rise. At the beginning of my Rise journey, I was emotional about my physical size, 34% body fat, self-conscious of my every movement, and terrified of lifting more than 20lbs. I couldn't get off the couch without making an "unnhhhhh" sound, and I was under 40. I realized that if I didn't fix that quickly, I wouldn't enjoy living in this body as I rapidly proceeded into middle-age. As of the time of this review, I've completed 324 semi-private personal training sessions. I've improved my functional strength tremendously, and while the first year was admittedly difficult, my sessions at the gym became so routine that it now feels weird to miss one. I've now mastered single-leg squats, can bench-press more weight than I ever thought I could, and improved my overall health. I now get off the couch in total silence. Despite being a total introvert, I've built genuine friendships with other members, as well as the coaches. This is not a gym where you need to feel shy, or embarrassed, or intimidated. The only members you'll encounter at Rise are there to improve themselves, and the coaches are there to help you reach the potential they know exists within you. The space has a sexy vibe to it, with black mirrors above the floor and the yellow athletic turf, without being intimidating. The InBody scale measures your overall body composition to track your actual muscle growth and fat loss. The coaches actually care about your progress as much as you do. Members range in age from high-school-aged to 80+ (seriously!). Workouts are scaled for every individuals' goals and abilities. The scheduling policy is reasonable and fair. Parking is abundant. read more

I absolutely love this gym!! The programming, coaches, facilities, and community are all so wonderful! I've made great progress towards my goals and I'm so glad I joined Rise. I love that I get my own station with all the weights, bars, and accessories I need. It's kind of hard to imagine going back to a regular gym now. The coaches are helpful, knowledgeable, and motivating. They keep me accountable and encourage me to push my self, but they also adapt and change the program based on my body's needs that day. I like that the energy at Rise isn't about making yourself as small as possible, it's more about strength and taking the best care of your body. Rise also uses the InBody scanner, which I love to use for tracking my muscle gain over time. It's easy to schedule and also easy to reach out to the team for questions. Thank you Ryan, Wyatt, Van, Chris, Sam, Fish, Sam, and Ari! You guys are amazing! read more

After trying countless gyms over the years, I can honestly say Rise Personal Training has been the first place that has kept me consistent. I've wasted so much money on gym memberships, only to go for a month or so before stopping. From my very first meeting with Ryan, I could tell this place was different. He took the time to sit down with me, learn about my goals, and really understand what I wanted to accomplish before matching me with a training plan. A huge thank you to the morning trainers, Sam and Chris. They always check in to see how I'm feeling before every workout, and if my knee, back, or anything else is bothering me, they adjust the workout so I can still train safely. They constantly encourage me, celebrate my progress, and push me to challenge myself with heavier weights when they know I'm ready. What really stands out is how much they care. If I miss a workout, Chris always reaches out to make sure everything is okay. That level of support and accountability has made all the difference. I feel stronger, healthier, and so much more confident than when I started. Even after a bad night's sleep, I still get up early because I genuinely don't want to miss a workout. Thank you, Ryan, Sam, and Chris, and all the other amazing trainers for creating such a positive and motivating environment. I highly recommend Rise Personal Training to anyone looking for trainers who truly care about helping you succeed read more

I've had such a great experience at Rise Strength Training. What really sets this gym apart is the level of personalization and attention you get every single session. They keep the group small (max 12 people), which makes a huge difference. There are always two professional trainers on the floor, constantly checking your form and posture, so you feel safe and supported the entire time. Each member gets their own tablet with a customized workout plan and video guidance, which is updated based on your individual needs and health status. No two workouts feel the same, but every session is a full-body workout and very effective. One of my favorite features is the monthly InBody measurements--you can clearly track fat loss and muscle gain, which is incredibly motivating. It's a small space, but the impact on my body and strength has been huge. If you're looking for a structured, smart, and results-driven training environment, this place is truly worth it. read more

Joined the gym couple of month ago and love it. The trainers are very attentive and the environment is fun and motivating.

Over 3 years later and I'm still here -- which has never happened for me with a gym before. The small group, semi-personal training setup is the perfect balance: personal attention without losing the motivation of a group environment. The trainers are amazing and genuinely relate to you. They understand real life and help you stay consistent in a way that actually feels sustainable. Highly recommend! read more

After having my baby, I wanted to focus on strength training but needed guidance to build confidence and ensure I was using proper form. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully set up with individual workout stations equipped with everything you need for an effective session. Each workout is personalized, and the coaches are always available to answer questions or make adjustments as needed. I've worked with several coaches, and each brings their own motivating style while providing consistent support and accountability. They pay close attention to proper form, encourage you to challenge yourself, and make thoughtful modifications based on current or past injuries. Their knowledge and experience really stand out. The 6-to-1 client-to-coach ratio provides the personalized attention of a personal trainer without the high cost. The customer service is exceptional. Ryan, Wyatt, and the entire team are friendly, responsive, and accommodating whenever work or personal commitments affect my schedule. Booking or rescheduling sessions is simple through their website, and they genuinely care about their clients. If you miss a class, they'll check in to make sure you're okay. Every visit starts with a warm welcome and ends with encouragement to keep coming back. I highly recommend RISE to anyone looking to start, continue, or improve their strength training journey. It's a supportive, knowledgeable community that has made a real difference in helping me get back into fitness. read more

I bumped into Rise on my way to the kiddie land next door for my kids "gym" time. As a parent, we are super focused on our kids and making sure they are taken care of, eat right and get plenty of activity. But I dropped the ball on myself; too focused on their needs and not on mine. Can't be there for them if I don't take better care of myself. I just got tired of being tired. Great equipment, great team to push and motivate you. Best part, your workouts are preset for you! My part is to show up and push through and be the best version of myself, for me! Come on in and give yourself the challenge you deserve. We earned our time! read more

Been going here since December 2024. And I love it. Signing up for classes is so convenient and holds you accountable. The workout sessions are GREAT! You leave feeling like you accomplished something. All the coaches are motivating and are quick to assist you. This is not your typical one on one personal training. But I prefer this to your typical one on one. 10/10 would recommend for your work outs. read more

I have been a member at Rise for over 3 months now. I religously attend 3 workouts per week. My workout program is personalized just for me. I have been working out consistently for over 30 years and this has been the most enjoyable and not crazy killer workout. I get to see a video of each physical activity Rise picks for me. I was looking for a place that would keep me accountable, and this has been exactly that. What an incredible place! I've been working out my entire adult life and thought I knew what I was doing--until I got injured in my mid-50s and found myself unable to train like I used to. That's when I was introduced to Rise Personal Training, and they completely changed the game for me. I came to them hoping to safely ease back into fitness, but they've done so much more than that. The team--Ryan, Wyatt, and Chris--are simply outstanding. They don't just train you; they guide, push, teach, and inspire you every step of the way. Their approach is intelligent, personalized, and grounded in care. Thanks to them, I'm not only back on track--I'm stronger, more confident, and moving better than I have in years. I trained at Rise pre-Covid and got into the best shape of my life. For the first time, I actually enjoyed working out. The coaches not only taught me how to lift properly, but also how to eat in a way that supported my goals. They helped me target my problem areas and build real, lasting habits that I still carry with me today. What I learned at Rise has had a long-term impact, and I'm so grateful for that. Now, my son trains at Rise too -- and it's amazing to see how they build programs with purpose. They're laying the foundation for him to become a strong, well-rounded athlete. signed up with Rise in August 2025 to begin my postpartum fitness journey and get prepped for my wedding celebration. All of the amazing reviews and hype turned out to be true and I'm so glad I've found Rise. All of the trainers are so personable to your goals, whatever you're going through week by week I order to maximize performance - all with a positive and fostering environment. I've been a member at other places like Equinox, 24 hr, etc and am not into gym culture at all. Rise is definitely not like a typical gym and doesn't have any of the toxic attributes that come with gym culture. I continue to be impressed by the program and how tailored everything is to meet your needs - modifications and tweaks can happen without any issue so you don't hurt yourself or feel discouraged. I highly recommend Rise to anyone who wants to move their body but might not know where to begin - it's worth every penny. read more

I've had a great experience training here. The structure is very efficient -- one trainer oversees a small group while still providing individualized programming for each person. Even though there are multiple clients training at the same time, the workouts feel personalized and tailored to individual goals and abilities. It's the perfect balance between the motivation of a group environment and the focus of personal training.
