Conquer Martial Arts is one of the most innovative martial arts schools in the Fox Valley/Green Bay…read morearea. I've trained there for the past two years, primarily focusing on competitive sport karate, and my skills have improved tremendously because of the instructors and training environment. Conquer Martial Arts has modern training facilities and equipment, including a spring floor, and is staffed by instructors who are experienced state and national-level martial arts competitors and champions. One area I've improved most is tricking--combining karate kicks and techniques with acrobatic movements and flips. Training at Conquer Martial Arts has helped me compete at a much higher level, including earning multiple state championship titles and Top-10 finishes at national NASKA sport karate tournaments. More importantly, the school has helped me grow as a martial artist and deepen my passion for competitive karate. While Conquer Martial Arts has a strong competitive sport karate program, they also have excellent programs for beginners and underbelts, making it a great environment for students at different experience levels. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Conquer Martial Arts to anyone in the Fox Valley or Green Bay area looking for a karate or martial arts school, whether they're just starting or want to pursue competitive sport karate and take their skills to the next level.

The instructors really care about thier students, and go the extra mile to help. You can really tell they're passionate about teaching, and it makes coming to class something to look forward to a few times a week. As an adult student, I sometimes come in exhausted or stressed from a long day at work, but after leaving class I feel so much better. Ask straight out , if my child has a behavior can you accommodate them? They say it is place for inclusion and enriching summer experiences, but that is only if your child does not have any behavioral issues. Their words, that they understand that summer can present unique challenges in finding a safe and enjoyable program. They should make it known in their literature that they can not support the needs of children who may have behaviors while in the program. It gives families false hope that there is actually a place that "ALL CHILDREN" with special needs have a safe space and a chance to grow and have fun. I understand if they can not adequately provide the service, but then don't advertise INCLUSION AND ACCEPTANCE, when you do not have the support to actually carry through with you written promise. It can be soul crushing to families that think they found a nurturing environment to only once again be turned away and excluded. Which is the opposite of INCLUSION. Be up front with families in your handbook, quit giving false hope. Even worse the effect it has on the child that doesn't have the ability to comprehend being dismissed. I remember the night before my first On-Ramp class I was so nervous. I forced my brother to drive to the gym with me that night so I knew where to go. Well I was too afraid to even get out of my car to introduce myself . Anyways, fast forward a month and I'm doing my first official WOD for time. Eventually everyone finished except for me.. and I definitely started doubting myself. But they all gathered around and cheered me on until I was finished. You really can't top a culture like that! Since joining CFGB, I've not only become physically stronger but I've attained a certain mental toughness which has helped me beyond the walls of the gym. I can confidently accredit this to the coaches' tough love and constant drive to make every single member that walks through the doors of CFGB an overall better version of themselves.
