I first heard about Limitless Elite Gym in July 2017 when I saw a few posts online about a push/pull powerlifting meet being held at their facility. In June 2017 I had started following powerlifting-focused training methods. I had been training at a few public / commercial gyms in the Green Bay area for since the beginning of 2017 but had not found anything that felt "right". Members generally kept to themselves, which is fine, but the environment felt a bit demotivating to be honest. I decided to make a trip to Limitless to check out the facility and I was blown away. The quality of the equipment was top-notch, and within a few minutes of my three-day trial it just felt right.
In early 2018 while preparing for my first USA Powerlifting meet, I made the decision to seek out coaching. Quintin's track record speaks for itself, so it was an easy decision to reach out to him to see if he would be able to add me to his impressive athlete roster. Quintin and I decided to begin working together after my first meet as I was only a couple of weeks out. However, Quintin offered to provide meet-day handling and coaching at my first meet as he would already be there for a couple other athletes he was coaching. I don't know of many other coaches that would offer to do that for someone who they had not started coaching yet. Looking back, it would have been very tough to stay on track throughout the competition without his help. Now that I've known Quintin for a good amount of time, his willingness to go out of his way to offer help is something I admire about him. He is always open and willing to offering advice on training, technique, or just about anything else to anyone.
I've been working with Quintin for over a year. The improvement in training have been greater than I could have imagined. With Quintin's help, I've shifted my mindset from just trying to get stronger to improving as an athlete through smarter training with a heavy focus on always working on improving my lifting techniques. I've learned a great deal, especially on the day of competition, on how to believe in myself and what I am capable of. There were times where Quintin and I discussed attempts during a meet and I was hesitant, but he has helped me gain the confidence I need to know that I've put in the work to be successful on the platform. I've learned how better believe in myself and what I'm capable of, and that has translated to everyday life outside of the gym as well. I have Quintin to thank for this significant change and improvement in my everyday life.
In closing, I wanted to comment a bit on the environment that the Meyer family has created at Limitless Elite Gym. Limitless is a place I look forward to going to whether my training is going well or not. Often, it's easy to get a bit down if you have a rough session, rough day at work, or face other adverse conditions. The people are more than just members at Limitless... they are family. I've had the great opportunity to become close friends with several members and spend a great deal of time outside of them gym with them. Quintin and the Limitless family had made a significant impact on me both in and out of the gym, and for that I am truly grateful. read more
