He still charged a visit fee. Conversely when we hit Bend we found At Your Door mobile service. NOT the controller, was a breaker and by putting amperage meter on it we got it diagnosed correctly and the repair was made along with another issue that he discovered that affected the slides. Then we heard the guy to call was Terry Cheyne.  He's the owner of Cheyne's Truck and Marine located in Coos Bay.  We made the call for help.  Within the hour he was there with his mobile unit.  He made his inspection of the problems and within another 2 hours all was fixed.  The cost was more than fair and the work was guaranteed. We were ready to enjoy our weekend.  You won't find any better than Cheyne's Truck and Marine.

I was told that parts could not be ordered and delivered for a next week service. Later that day I got a NAPA equivalent oil filter and I carry Onan fuel filters. The next morning I called and left a message asking if he would do the service with my parts and I never received a response. If he told me up front that he doesn't do that service this would have been a 4 star review.

We stayed here for a month while visiting the Oregon coast. This isn't a bad place to stay, but it…read moredid have some drawbacks. I'll start with the good things about the park: It was easy access from Highway 101. The entrance was marked well, and it was navigable in a big rig (we did need to have someone move a vehicle when we were leaving due to cars being parked in the street since spaces are so tight). Our site was concrete and was very level. The wi-fi worked pretty well where we were located and there were no obstacles for satellite TV with our roof mounted dish. Hook-ups worked well at our site but another camper a few sites down from us had issues with a plugged sewer line. The park was quiet (the railroad yard nearby was not very active) and there is a walking trail from the park that leads to the Coos Bay boardwalk. There were some homeless people living in the rail yard but they were not panhandling on the walkway. And, the park is in close proximity to many great places on the coast. Now, the downsides: The sites are extremely tight. We had no room to sit outside, and it is even difficult to park your vehicle. The dog walk area is full of dog poop, and it's hard to walk without stepping in the waste. Which leads to management being on site only three days a week. If you have an issue you need to call and leave a message. Water pressure was low at our site. Finally, we were sure to not leave things outside of our RV due to the lack of management presence and the homeless population in the rail yard. The park is primarily full-time residents but they were very friendly to us. Again, not a bad park, but it's hard to enjoy fully when there isn't room to sit outside.

Started off with a phone call to the Coos Bay dealership, inquiring about a boat I had seen on…read moretheir website. They said it was available, so I made arrangements to fly in from N. California. I gave them a weeks' notice and asked if they could have the boat brought down from there Florence dealership, they agreed. I confirmed the day before arrival that I was going to be at the dealership around 1pm, once I arrived, I was told that they were not able to bring the boat down and I would need to drive an hour away to the Florance dealership to see the boat. I can understand if they didn't have time to bring the boat down to Coos Bay on only a possibility of a boat sale, but if they would have told me that they were unable to, and I would have just drove Stright there from the airport and not wasted my time going to the Coos Bay dealership. The salesperson (Brian) said he would go with me to the Florence dealership, but they were extremely busy (there was not one customer in site), so I said no problem and just went myself. I took a look at the boat, spoke with a very nice and knowledgeable guy from the Florance dealership and headed back to the Coos Bay dealership to discuss buying the boat. Called Brian and let him know I was on my way, but he was at home already (3:30) and that we could go over final pricing on Monday. I was thinking, I came all this way and was going to buy this boat that day but needed to wait until Monday now. (Note, boat sales are very slow, and Y Marina is closing the Florance Dealership down, but couldn't take a little extra time that day to sell a 100K plus boat). Call on Monday, settled on a price for the Boat, ask if they would be interested in also setting up the boat with electronics and kicker motor and asked for the addition cost, they said sure thing and they would get back to me that afternoon or the following morning. I didn't hear back, so I called the following day to finalize the deal and asked why I had not heard back from them sooner, then I was told that the boat was sold to someone else. I mentioned that we had agreed to a price and the boat was sold and that I was just waiting on the accessory pricing and installation lead time. They offered no apology and just said that there Florence store sold the boat and didn't communicate that with them. I said it seems that you do not communicate well with each other and that the boat should not have been sold out from underneath me. I have seen good reviews about this dealership, and it might have been this way at one time, but my experience showed me that they are very disconnected and scattered and communicate poorly with potential customers. I don't think sales work very well this way in a slow market (or any market). I guess maybe they got comfortable with the hot boat sales market of the past and it shows. I ended up buying a boat and Clemens Marina. Very knowledgeable staff and communicated well and great pricing. Y Marina missed out on $150K sale, due to lack of effort, scattered and poor sales Commnication.

We were always comfortable with the negotiations and felt no pressure. We are not from the Florence area but certainly feel like George and Bubba would be our go to guys if we ever needed anything in Florence. Nice job guys!
