Ordered a milk tea with almond milk, so I thought. Instead it was milk tea with artificial almond flavor. The milk being water and Coffeemate non dairy creamer. It was not good. I asked for another drink to be made for which I got no credit and had to pay full price for a new drink. I used to come here often when they first opened, and haven't been in about a year, well I won't be back now. The boba has a nice texture but this experience was disappointing. I was in the mood for something with boba in it, so I thought I'd try a new place--enter TeaLatte Bar. Located a few miles down the street from my job, the inside of the establishment is small yet intimate and modern with an inviting aura. My coworker and I both ordered smoothies (I got strawberry banana with oat milk and mango boba; she got strawberry mango with coconut milk and mango boba). The girl working the register was very knowledgeable and friendly! After a shorter wait than expected, the smoothies were ready. They are really good, and the strawberry-banana flavor was very balanced! The mango boba is popping (meaning it bursts into liquid with enough pressure), which was fun and delicious! I was glad to see they put a lot of boba. My coworker enjoyed her smoothie and wants to know what kind of coconut milk is used! Overall, I think this is my new boba place! I came to this shop after my daughter told me they have Hojicha milk tea. Hojicha is a Japanese tea, and I've had it at cafés in Japan, but I haven't seen it much at other places. A lovely boba shop located in Coppell near Sprouts. Fun fact: TeaLatte Bar is the sister company of Teapresso, a popular boba spot in Honolulu, Hawai'i, where I'm from! When I walked in this store the first time, I was immediately greeted by friendly staff. The place itself serves a bright and lax atmosphere. There is a public restroom, open tables and chairs available, making it a very comfortable study space! I'm always surprised to see that this location in particular is not crowded. My husband and I have been frequent visitors to this location and have had no issues! Every drink we have tried has been pretty good (the other locations haven't been as good in our opinion). The price in comparison to other boba shops is on par if not slightly higher.... but its a small local shop (3 locations) so I think that makes sense. We love that both small and large boba are offered- we tried the small due to them being out of large one night. The egg pudding is also pretty good! Great shop with great variety of drinks, most of the ones I have tried are very sweet. They also have both regular and "bursting" boba, the latter or which is really like little juice balls barely held in by a super thin, easily broken barrier. If anything I think they add too much boba to the drinks as for me, a little goes a long way. But the drinks themselves are very good. Honestly, this is a VERY solid boba spot, especially for it being Coppell's first boba shop (LOL can't believe it took us this long). I got the TeaLatte milk tea 25% sweet with regular ice, and it was perfect. The boba pearls were nice and chewy, too. They had a few tables inside and it's definitely the kind of spot where you could stay and work on your laptop for a bit if you wanted to.
