Shrimp fried rice is always good! Food is always consistent. Service has phenomenal!

Nothing authentic about this place. The atmosphere was awful extremely outdated. Food was awful. I had the yellow curry and it was far from authentic. read more

This is our second visit, both times for lunch. Understated restaurant, waitresses not Thai, Lower Alabama finding Thai employees difficult. The kitchen, the important part, the Thai food tasty and authentic. Walking in we noticed a nice not appeared to be used lounge area, too bad, would make a nice happy hour area with interesting appetizers. This visit my spouse ordered chicken red curry which I tasted, nice. I'm a fan of Pad Thai, but don't usually order it, this visit though I did. Shrimp Pad Thai. Ample portion, good amount of shrimp, and quite tasty. 2/3's through the plate I was satisfied but it was so darn good I polished it off departing pleasantly stuffed. That was lunch, dinner time, after a Mango Martini, my spouse and I both in agreement, we blow off dinner. We tried other Thai restaurants in the area, one on US 98, the Teak House merits this review. We'd eaten Thai on Government St. in Mobile numerous times, we found them not consistent. One feature here at the Teak House, our waitress asks our heat level. I back off from Teak Hot, real Teak Hot is like lava. Doubt if the American palette could handle that, nor do I think most Thai restaurants really serve true Thai Hot. Regardless I play it safe and back off a notch from Thai and request hot. I didn't find hot that hot, tasting my spouses dish, her's medium hot, barely felt the heat. If you like Thai Cuisine I would suggest this restaurant. They have a sizable menu and a lunch menu, lunch is reasonable. read more

We got the Thom Yum soup with beef and the Big Noodle soup with beef, each hot. It was rich, savory, delicious and spicy. So good! Autumn was a kind and patient server as we were indecisive. Can't wait to come back! read more

We have not had Teak House in at least 4 years. Since then apparently our taste buds have gone geriatric. We got the Lunch Pad Thai, Thai Hot. I am writing this as my eyes are full of tears and my lips are tingling from the free lip plumper. This is nothing negative on the food, it is excellent... Just a small reflection on our ability to tolerate spicy food the older we get, but we still love it. We also ordered the lunch special egg rolls and crab rangoon. The egg rolls are basically fried spring rolls and are delightful. The ragoons had too much cream cheese and not enough crab...however,given how spicy the pad Thai was they were a indulgent relief in between bites. I even heated up Peanut Butter and drizzled it all over! 9 out of 10 recommend especially if you have the flu and it's 20 degrees out!! (Seriously, I would order again.) read more

We've only been to the Teak House a couple of times. I can't remember what I ordered the first time, but I'd have to guess it was curry. That's my go-to. On my most recent visit I decided to venture out and try something out of my norm. I ordered the Pad Priew Waan, which was a sweet and spicy dish with chicken, pineapples, and peppers. I enjoyed every last bite of it. My hubby ordered a shrimp dish with curry, so I still was able to enjoy a taste of curry as well. You can choose your spice levels in the entrees, which is nice. The service was good and the prices were reasonable. The atmosphere is casual. read more

Teak House - Pad Priew Waan. Sweet and Spicy Pineapple Stir Fry with Chicken - Thai Near Me - Daphne, Alabama

Ate at Teak House for lunch. Really nice place. Everything on the menu looked really good. I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai. They ask if you want it spicy or not. I ordered spicy and was asked if I wanted it mild or hot. I ordered it hot. It had just the right amount of heat. And the dish was really, really good. Nice sized shrimp, good portion of noodles, perfect seasoning and cooked fantastically. Great job Teak House, we will be returning. read more

Teak House - Pad Thai....spicy. Wonderful!!! - Thai Near Me - Daphne, Alabama

My favorite is the yellow curry with chicken. Oh my goodness. It is AMAZING!! I always order take out, so I don't have any idea about service. But the curry is to die for and the best I've ever had from any restaurant. read more

Meh. Not a whole lot going on here with flavor. Kind of bland. I was looking for robust flavors and spice.. Didn't happen. But if you are looking for some Thai food without flavor.. This may do. Just not my cup of curry. read more

We have eaten here before and enjoyed it. We love Thai food and have eaten it in many places across the country. Our disappointment with Teak House for tonight's dinner could not be greater. We ordered takeout and did not realize how bad it was until home and hungry. The vegetables were mushy and flavorless. The tempura shrimp were nothing like tempura shrimp we have previously experienced and served over French fries instead of rice. The order taker never mentioned this option on the phone. The pot stickers were soggy and not very good. Had we been dining in the restaurant we would have sent everything back and left. We will have to find a new place to get out Thai fix. read more

Fantastic pad Thai and great beer prices. The decor is nice. I stopped by with my parents for lunch. We were blown away by the great service and prices! read more

Teak House - Great beer! - Thai Near Me - Daphne, Alabama

Pretty good they will hit you with the spice sometimes and sometimes it's bland so be careful ordering haha

For some reason I never think of this place and I don't know why. Perhaps it is the cheesy décor or the fact it is in a warehouse next to the ancient import place. (Thus a missing star). But the food is spot-on. First the serving sizes are huge. This makes everything easy to share and the kitchen will provide all of the plates and bowls you need. And, they get it. In temperature I mean. Every dish is customized for the level of spice desired and Teak House's temp chart is excellent. The drunken noodles are perhaps my favorite, but I will indulge in some wantons before going with the Pad Thai (shrimp of course). The service is consistently good. When I do go it is a long eating event. Never have I felt rushed. Now I know where dinner is tonight! read more

I was a little concerned about coming here since the reviews were all over the map. Nonetheless, hungry for thai food, I gave it a whirl. And it was GREAT. I split an order of the pad thai with chicken and it was really really good. I like that you can vary the level of spice depending on your preference. I went with medium and maybe would venture to hot next time (there is also a "Thai Hot"). Also at lunchtime, you can get 2 springrolls for $2. I wouldn't get those next time... they were sorta "eh" but then we got the dumplings, which rocked. Go for it. And don't listen to those 2 star-ers. read more

Other than A-1 Thai in South Florida and Duck Walk in Chicago, this has to be one of my favorite Thai restaurants. Seriously, the portions are great, the atmosphere is wonderful and the staff are very courteous. The Pad Thai is the only thing my husband will order which I assume means that he likes it a lot. I tend to order the Peanut Sauce Lovers dish. The flavors are amazing and it's a LOT of food! read more

Red curry and pad Thai were amazing! Really enjoyed the option of having hot tea for my drink. Service was very friendly and just slow enough to be relaxing, but not annoying. Thai tea was great and it was nice having hot tea options! read more

Can't get enough of this place. I don't know if it's authentic or not. This is good food with amazing flavor! I can't get enough of the basil salad. Pork or Chicken are great. Service is friendly and takeout orders have alway be correct. read more

I live in DC where we have lots of different Thai restaurants. Teak House is very good, among the best I've been to.

Have eaten here a few times and always the food we ordered was exactly what we asked for. Usually medium red curry and thai hot red curry for myself and my husband. Pad thai with shrimp for my little girl, not spicy at all. Drunk noodles are also very good - especially at a medium spice. My mom likes to get thai fried rice with shrimp and says it is also delicious. Service has always been very attentive and our drinks are never left empty. My favorite place to eat thai food.. Worth the drive from Mobile for me! read more

The food is amazing! I got Shrimp Pad Thai with a side of egg fried rice and a Thai tea which is all fantastic. Definitely the best Pad Thai in the area! But as a server I am disappointed in the service. I feel like my server was maybe stretched too thin and was maybe overwhelmed. She forgot my drink multiple times and by the time I did get my drink I had already ordered my entree. I didn't think they where that busy but maybe she just can't handle the amount of tables she had. read more

Teak House - Shrimp Pad Thai, egg fried rice and Thai tea. Delicious! - Thai Near Me - Daphne, Alabama

Awesome is all I can say. We read the Yelp reviews before coming here and we were not disappointed. Got the appetizer sampler and it was great. I am usually disappointed when I ask for hot and/or spicy food at eateries. The Teak House did not disappoint !!!! The beef salad was tasty and I requested above Thai hot and that is what I got. VERY generous portions and the service was warm and welcoming We have received less food and paid 20% more in Birmingham. Job well done Teak House !! We will be regulars !! read more

Not much to look at outside and inside but excellent Thai food. If you don't like the ambiance, get a takeout or you'll be missing some really delicious Thai. Pad Thai, vegetable fried rice, and spring rolls, all great. Four stars only because of the ambiance. read more

Food, service, and atmosphere were lacking. It's been years since I've been here and now I remember why.

By far the best Thai food I've had on the coast! Very nice setting every things pretty much streamlined and put together well not a bunch of gold godly Thai mirrors and Buddhas all over. And was seated right away ordered cheese wontons which were great. We ordered our food I had the drunken noodles with added cabbage. Came our super fast and super fresh!!! Lots of veggies and chicken and very authentic!! All n all was a great dinner my only grip is that there were only 4 groups having diner and they bunched every one together I was sandwiched in between two family's with little hellyuns that were kicking the both on both sides and one was crying good thing the food was great or I would of been out of there!! Hahahaha well worth stopping in!!! read more

I love this place and the variety of options on their menu. I've had good luck with everything I've tried; I love that most entrees have a meat choice of beef, chicken, pork, tofu, or shrimp. Lunch menu is affordable. Cozy atmosphere, authentic-style decor, and I want to know where they got the upholstery fabric on the seat backs of their booths! I really like it. read more

The best thing about this restaurant is the Chick Fil A across the street where you can order food and eat it within 30 minutes, which by the way is the amount of time we waited for a server to come to our table and greet us! I would love to try the food sometime...Both my fiancé and I have worked in the food industry for years. We aren't those snooty folks that are easily upset. I've never seen anything quite like the poor service at this restaurant. read more

If your expectations for food and service are low, try it out; otherwise go somewhere else. My partner and I went to the Teak House last night for our anniversary. We had heard good things about it from friends and decided to give it a try. Food: the Thai curries we ordered (yellow and Penang) were just okay. They had a nice kick to it, but the broth just seemed watered down. The meat was fresh and had good flavor, but the vegetables were sparse and not fresh. I ordered a Thai Iced Tea and it was awful - it tasted like a Thai Iced White Russian. Service: the service was dreadfully bad. The server appeared to be Russian or Ukrainian and his understanding of English left a lot to be desired. He did not know the menu and we had to point to items in the menu when ordering. I ordered a Thai Iced Tea and he brought me Sweet Tea - I pointed out it was the wrong thing and he just walked away. I had to flag down another server to get the right beverage (which tasted like a Thai Iced White Russian). read more

Good portions and better service/food than the other Thai place on 98 in Daphne. The restaurant may not be decorated in traditional decor, but at least you order and get food within 5 minutes of sitting down, which is important if you are starving and have kids. The appetizer sampler is HUGE and very good.Tom Kha soup was bland, but I added chili paste to spice it up read more

We ordered food from this restaurant through the Waitr app which I highly do not recommend. After being shorted about $30 worth of food we call the restaurant and they said the order went out correctly. This is not true, we got the wrong appetizer and we shorted an entrée. We contacted the driver for Waitr and he said we had to contact Customer support. This is where the long journey to recover are 30+ dollars started. So according to the restaurant the driver switched out our egg rolls for chicken satay and stole our pod Thai. How can this be? read more
