Which is fine because it's policy but just letting you know in advance that if you need more flexibility around time this may pose as difficult. I had paid for three classes in advance as that is how they had it laid out at the time. They mentioned they would let the manager know to see if theres credit reimbursement but I havent heard anything since. I've only been to beginner classes but the instructors seem ok! Not super advanced but not super new either so would be according to each person's judgement.

A few email exchanges along with a follow up and 5 stars on customer focus was appreciated. I opted to begin by jump starting and return to yoga practice on Saturday, then Sunday....next one Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, ... no option Thursday so I will have a rest day, then back Friday and so forth! A real kick starter to get my fitness goals back on track and strengthen my body, mind, heart, and soul. Pura Vida Studio is a lovely, well appointed, and top notch studio in the safety category. Class starts on time and door locked for client safety and security this is pivotal and while some may disagree, fundamental safety protocols are essential. Pura Vida Studio is clean and utilized space well and even offered a tour first day as new client. A sense of positivity in this local community. I filed a complaint with the USA Swimming Safe Sport and with the U.S. Center for SafeSport. However, neither of these organizations can take action against the rough coaches and the school because it is a private institution and falls outside the jurisdiction of any organization that could halt their dangerous practices. They will continue to lie on their website by stating "Safety first" while simultaneously forcing your screaming child underwater. They scared my 4-year-old. She screamed and was actively resisting, but the coach just took her and threw her into the water. I could see she was suffocating for a moment because he just forced her under water while she screamed. So lovely for a first lesson ever. How do I convince her now that swimming is fun? Coach Lucas doesn't know what he is doing at all. Disappoinment. I regret I brought my kid there.

The location is great for us and my daughter just likes acting goofy so we let her stay for now. If she continues to be interested, I will put her in a more serious program. On the administrative side, it's been less than stellar given early troubles with costume ordering. We followed details to a T, and as a first time dance mom was a bit neurotic. Costumes arrived and you not only had to melt her I to it, but craftsmanship was poor as there were visible tears in the fabric in multiple spots. Uncertain of what to do, I naturally turned to the dance studio front staff who were rude and basically said I must not have paid attention to the instructions. Needless to say, I was clearly on my own to find a remedy which was not only irritating and confusing but costly. On a side note, and maybe by design but the front lobby is always packed and boiling degrees given it's small cramped size.

I was skeptical to start my daughter in dance lessons at 4 years old, but she expressed a love for…read moredance so we gave Starpath a try. Their teachers really understand and know how to work well with children. I'm amazed at the patience they have with the young age groups and how they can not only keep young ones engaged in a class, but also manage to have relative success in teaching them routines. When my daughter started at Starpath she had a hard time focusing and doing what the class was told to do, but after a few months she was focusing and following instructions better, memorizing steps and routines, showing off what she was learning to us at home, and having a blast with the music and activities incorporated in class. Students are awarded with stars and get a lot of encouragement. They performed their recital at the Carolina Theater. I thought my daughter would be shy on such a large stage, but the teachers gave them multiple opportunities to get a acclimated to it and had practiced with the students so much that they did great. I was so proud to see my daughter front and center in her group on stage performing her choreography and smiling brightly. She loved the experience and is now half way through her second year at Starpath. I love seeing her grow as a dancer and have a great time in class with her friends. The Starlight Tots and Starlight Kids classes have been a great foundation to develop her love of dance and music. Now when she dances, she performs the choreography confidently and really shines.
