My kid has been there for a month now. We are extremely happy about the place, so does the child!…read moreThe mandarin 2 class teachers, Ms.Cherry and Ms. Rachel take pride of their work and they genuinely care about the kids in their class. They help the little pumpkins grow so well. They share their daily curriculum on app; they have very consistent photos/videos sharing everyday. They tell you how your kid did today and share every growth progress they make. They make sure the kids get plenty of outdoor time. The entire L'academy crew is very loving and welcoming! We are so glad we joined them and kind of wish we did it sooner.

We spent over three years at this school and, honestly, regret staying as long as we did. We met…read moresome wonderful families and there are caring teachers, but that does not change the fact that the school was not worth the price. After switching schools, it became painfully obvious how academically behind our child was and how unprepared he was for kindergarten. Within weeks at his new school, we saw what actual structure, curriculum, communication, and academic expectations look like. The difference was shocking. The Spanish immersion piece sounds impressive when marketed to parents, but the reality did not match the promise. As a native English speaking family, we found both the English language foundation and overall academics severely lacking. Learning a few Spanish words did not justify years of weak academic preparation. The Mandarin program appears far more developed and intentional, but that was absolutely not our experience in Spanish immersion. The operational issues were just as frustrating. Policies constantly changed regarding food, outside shoes, and general expectations. Leadership turnover was nonstop. We had four different leaders in three years, and the instability trickled into every part of the school. Safety and professionalism were also concerns. There was rarely consistent front desk staff or oversight, and the security system felt alarmingly careless. The front door keypad often seemed to accept virtually any code entered rather than a secure assigned passcode system. For a school charging premium tuition, that is unacceptable. Another major issue is that the owners live across the country and seem deeply disconnected from the day to day realities of what the school, staff, and families actually need. They are not present or on the ground, and in my opinion that directly impacts leadership autonomy, accountability, consistency, and the overall direction of the school. I also want to say that I do believe many of the directors placed in leadership were trying their best. However, they often seemed unsupported and unequipped to manage both the business model and the daily operational needs of the school. The constant turnover reflected that. It felt like leadership was set up to struggle rather than succeed, and families ultimately experienced the consequences of that instability. The hardest part is realizing we knew at least a year ago this was not the right environment, but we stayed because of friendships and familiarity. Looking back, I genuinely feel like our child lost valuable learning time by remaining there. If you are paying premium tuition expecting strong academics, structure, consistency, safety, and kindergarten readiness, I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere.
