Mochachino Coffee House in Seminole, TX is exactly what I had been dreaming of for years for this…read morearea. The location is perfect where highways 180 & 385 intersect. (Mochachino is next to the Phillips 66 gas station.) Plus there is a drive-thru, or go inside like my young daughters needed to in order to use the restroom since they didn't do it before leaving the house! *eyes rolling* We moseyed in here on the morning of 11/21/2023. While the place was already decorated for Christmas, I could see their usual eye-appeasing decor with multiple seating areas and arrangements. It's a swell place for meeting with friends as they not only serve coffee and tea but they also have a pastry display too. The butter pecan brown sugar latte ($4.21 for a 16 oz.) from the November specials was absolutely satisfying. My girls loved their hot chocolates ($2.95 each). The employees were polite and worked effectively together. They have their own private lot. Large trucks and those towing trailers could park on the side streets. I'm a raving fan! Happy Thanksgiving...

I ordered a simple black coffee, and given the shop's extensive use of Starbucks' intellectual property, I naïvely assumed the coffee would at least meet a basic standard of quality. If you're going to borrow, or more accurately, blatantly imitate the branding of a multi-billion-dollar coffee company, the least you could do is match the quality of their product. My wife and I have stopped in twice, at different times while passing through town, and both visits were consistently disappointing. I'm honestly not sure which felt worse: the coffee itself or the odd experience of patronizing a shop that keeps a Bible prominently displayed on the counter, I'm guessing Mennonite while operating a business model that openly contradicts the very values that book teaches. Build your own brand and be proud of it. Stealing someone else's brand identity is unethical, dishonest, and illegal.

*** good place to grab a coffee, latte, frappe, and more ***…read more I popped into Star Coffee Lounge on Thursday afternoon, December 12, 2024. My peppermint mocha had a good espresso flavor, but was just a tad heavy on the chocolate. A grande (yes, just like at Starbucks - similar to a medium option) set me back $7.36. At that price, I had to check if I was still in Seminole, Texas. Large pastries were available, but I wasn't all that hungry. The parking was easy up front. The decor inside was charming & decorated nicely for Christmas. I love the tall ceilings in this place. If I had stayed with my laptop - which they did have Wi-Fi - I would have sat in a bar stool at the large table in the center of the shop. Friendly young lady working the counter took just under 5 minutes to prep my hot drink. RATING BREAKDOWN Drink: 4 | Service: 5 | Ambiance: 4 | Price: 3

Not sure when their grand opening is, but they are currently offer early-to-late hours. From their holiday menu (available as of 12/12/2023), I enjoyed the "Holly Jolly" which consisted of "holiday punch blended with our tangy lemon teaN'ergy." The "Dreamsicle" ($6.73 for a 32 oz. with coconut milk) was good. All of their drinks come with lots of ice. Maybe a little too much. My favorite so far has been the "Gamma Radiation" (32 oz. $5.83). They offer gift cards for any amount you desire. Inside, the place offers a variety of seating. They had a very cool Prince-inspired t-shirt for sale back on 12/12/2023.
