T2 on Rundle Street is definitely my one stop shop when it comes to premium tea in Adelaide. The shop is gorgeous. Quite a large interior and really tastefully decorated in a modern yet quirky kind of way. They sell everything from tea cups to small box's of chocolate to have when your drinking your tea at home. So adorable. Obviously their tea range is huge, with a vast variety of flavours. I especially love their green tea range. The staff are fantastic and friendly, and if your a regular...they'll remember your name! The only downside of the location is finding a park. If your a tea lover, T2 is a must visit. They also have a membership program which you can earn points every time you buy something in store or from their website. Recommended. read more

As an avid tea lover, I'd have to say T2 is pretty cool but there's no beating T-Bar for me. The first time I saw T2 on Rundle St (it hasn't been here for that long), I thought it was either a new club or some urban clothing store. Its black exterior, red logo and dimly lit interior gives it a somewhat artsy, dark feel. Not to say that it's bad, of course. It's something different, which is always interesting. Seemingly, T2's take on tea (try that for a tongue twister) is trendy and current, with a wide range of teas all marketed with a modern twist. For not being a tea drinker at all, this store is awesome!! It looks amazing from the outside and in, with the decor really fitting the tea theme. The products are very brightly coloured and some are so novelty. I love the smell of the tea which is so diverse in range (180 and counting). Their teaware makes a great present which is a little bit different to your standard teapot, and they have a Christmas range to fit the giving season. When they'd just completed construction of T2, I honestly had no idea what hell it was. Judging by the name and the futuristic look of the exterior, it looked like it had something to do with an airport terminal. Perhaps Adelaide Airport's second terminal right in the middle of Rundle Street? T2 is a work of wonder, a seriously amazing shop. Not only is the sheer variety of teas on offer enough to put you in awe, but the shop itself preys on the senses. The fusion of smells of the various teas is like that of a spell, and beckons you to try them all. That's the only problem though - there are so many tea varieties that it would take forever to try them all! If you're a tea enthusiast, you're going to absolute love this place. How inTEAresting! An entire store dedicated to my most favourite drink! Tea! I have been meaning to write a review of this place for ages, but I struggle to find the right words to describe such a perfect place. The walls are lined, top to bottom with various different teas; Chai Tea, Green tea, hot tea, cold tea, fruity tea, black tea, you name it, T2 has it! The store is quite spacious, and offers a variety of samples to try depending on the season, you want to escape from the heat? Duck into the store and try a few iced teas - winter got you down? Warm yourself up with a selection of nutty, hot teas to help fight the bitter winter days. The smells are amazing, I simply love how they offer each and every tea as a sample, two free samples per customer per day, It's a great initiative - especially if you don't want to spend $12+ on a box of tea you may not like. The staff are lovely, being a regular here - it's great to be acknowledged by name and I love the level of interaction they have with not only myself, but with every single customer that walks into the store. It's a hot day and you're on Rundle St, duck into T2 for a free iced tea, it's a really nice touch I must say and so so so refreshing, generally 3 to choose from - try all 3!! This place has every tea under the sun! My partner has made drinking tea a hobby of his so when we walked in there the other day it was like being with a kid in a candy store. We got one of the lovely shop assistants to talk us through the T2 range at the tea leaf table before making any decisions, it took a while. After picking a tea there are all the utensils available that you will require to make it. did you know that putting hot water straight onto tea laves with blanch your tea and make it taste bad? apparently a bit of cold water in first is the go to prevent this, just another thing that I learned at T2. read more

Is there such a thing as French Earl Grey perfume? Because I'd totally wear it. The fruity, subtle scent of my T2 tea brewing is familiar in casa Lana - it's one of my favourite teas in existence. T2 is amazing in terms of tea selection, and the brews are consistently quality and interesting. For me, that's exactly what I want from a tea shop. The tea paraphernalia is certainly huge, with lots of matching sets, glasses and pots, though in my mind way too pricey. $900 for a samovar? Yeah...no. I have nabbed a couple of colourful Turkish glasses but personally I'd look for teapots elsewhere. The slightly OTT interior (all dimly lit, lots of black) and is a-ok with me, and I LOVE the free samples: I was put on to Turkish Apple tea this way and haven't looked back since. read more

I first tried T2 when I received a gift pack for my birthday off a friend. My first though was wow, okay. Tea. Thanks. The tea is actually pretty damn good. There are a huge variety of flavours, so if your a tea lover you could spend hours browsing though the different offerings. The aroma is great (I love the smell of tea), and they have lots of gift pack type things for xmas and birthdays. Great place if you like tea. read more

T2 has just opened its doors on Rundle St. This shop appeals to all of your senses. The exterior is all black with a contrasting bright red T2 sign. Inside, it is all tea. Laid out around the store is colour coded boxes and boxes of tea. You can walk around for hours attempting to decide what name and flavour you think would be appealing. If you can't really be bothered doing this, at the front there is a table with every tea mix present in a little bowl, for your smelling and viewing pleasure. There will also be several teas brewing ready for you to sample, before deciding what one you want. Tea lovers will not be disappointed; there is something there for everyone. I must say I am not a fan of their traditional teas, such as Earl Grey, but their slightly wacky ones are very pleasant. My only criticism of this shop is that they don't sell cups of tea. It's sample or buy. I think if they did decide to have a couple of chairs and tables and teapots constantly available to buy, it would be a big revenue maker. Yes Rundle Street has many coffee shops and restaurants, but nowhere that sells a decent cuppa! read more

Cute n classy! As a tea lover I was rather excited when I saw this store pop up on Rundle street. I have only popped in a couple of times so far but wow, SO many teas to choose from. I was last there on a warm day and they had a few jugs of ice tea available for free samples - even got my husband - who doesn't usually like tea - to have a cup! I'm a coffee addict. I can't help myself. It needs to be good, warm and a little bit sweet. Milky can be good. It can also occasionally be bad. I'm telling you all this because it's probably a bit of a disclaimer that I'm not a natural tea drinker. Not at all. Now, I've traditionally been happy with the occasional Earl Grey. It's the Holden Commodore of tea. Everybody has it, it's not something you brag about unless you're a little bit lacking in some way, and it does the job. If I'm up for a bit of variety, I've occasionally reached for the Lady Grey, which I've actually begun to prefer. So as you can tell, I've lived a very sheltered life, tea-wise. So when I was dragged in here (and I freely admit it, I was dragged), I was taken aback by the range. Surely there can't be that many varieties, can there? Well, yes there can. If you haven't liked any tea you've had so far, you'll probably find one that you like here. I don't know if it's any healthier than a coffee, but I've started to replace some of my routine caffeine intake with a variety named 'Afternoon Tea'. The service here is awesome, and if you love tea (and even if you don't just yet, you will after trying a few different blends), then this place is pretty damn awesome. Tea shops are almost as popular as coffee shops these days. It's not just tetley or twinings but now there seems to be hundreds of varieties, especially when walking into T2. They have loose leaf or bag teas for pretty much every one of them, and I love the names. I mainly come for the free samples but I also discovered they have ice teas too. Some are quite refreshing. They aren't exactly cheap at $12 a box but some you can buy by the bottle for $4. Sure their teas aren't as good as the smaller guys but they aren't bad. read more

I'm sitting here with my shiny new orange T2 shopping bag, which says thank you on the inside. Cute! It's all about the small details, and when it comes to said small details, T2 has it covered. This place looks too cool for school, and it's merely a friken teashop. I mean choc chip and strawberries and cream tea? Whaaat? Ok then. Actually the reason why I felt the need for this review was because no one has mentioned the free gift-wrapping, and the cute little gift cards available for purchase (cards cost six dollars). This store is fantastic for gifts! It's interesting, and definitely not stingy-therefore a little bit goes a long way. The convenience of it all is also a definite win. Friends birthday present- sealed, signed, delivered! This is tea made young. However also suitable for the old. Will surprisingly impress!
