Fortunately my Girlfriend, oddly enough, does wear womens clothing and spent quite some time in th the Replay Emporium.....which also meant that I spent quite some time there also. Yay for me. As is the case with most of these recycled clothing 'boutiques' the used rags they stock are not on the crap side of the scale. In fact there were a number of items that really made my eyes pop.....I mean my girlfriends eyes.....yeah, thats it. For those out there with a shoe fetish, there are a select few funky examples to drool over (none of them in a mens size 12 unfortunately).

Little did I know this place would soon capture me with its fashion, trinkets and accessories - not to mention squeeze the life out of my wallet... Walking in, the first things that caught my eye was the cute homeware decor to the right of the entrance. There sat different photo frames, necklace stands, mugs, vintage clothing hooks with such intricate detail, and much more. There were only about three small displays, but I swear I spent about half an hour looking at those alone. They weren't expensive either! I bought a beautiful ballerina jewellery stand and the vintage clothing hooks that are yet to be drilled into my bedroom wall. Next, the fashion. You would never know that this is a recycled clothing boutique. The clothes selected are still intact and of good quality. I bought a minkpink black dress and a cute pantsuit both for under $40. The rings and accessories in the cabinet displays are, however, on the more expensive side. I guess it's because they're hand made, not to mention unique in style. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who loves shopping, or a boyfriend looking for a gift perhaps..?

There's not much here for the guys except maybe a place to shop for birthdays, Christmas etc. The main draw for girls seems to be the vintage clothes which my partner spent ages flicking through. Hats are also sold that seem to accompany the clothes nicely. Well, I'm no fashion expert but they look alright to me... There you go, if you're a girl you'll love it. If you're a guy it's the ideal gift shop for your other half.

I didn't even know it was a chain until just now and sure, while they have some nice clothing on the website, I can't say I've ever seen any of it in the Aldgate outlet .... It's a small shop, but it will take a while to browse through all the items because they are all so neatly crammed together. It's like a drama teachers dream, beret's and beads, green over shirts, strange bird feather vests... I wouldn't take my mum shopping in here although I just asked her what she thought and she said "there are some nice items in there" which got me a little bit worried because usually she has style, a different style anyhow. All I can say is that it has got all the clothes I wish I could wear if I was a size 8 or even a 10 and a few years younger.. Besides just being able to look at their range and not wear any of it, they are dedicated to stocking well known Australian labels and that is a plus for the store. Labels such as Cooper St, Tigerlilly, Blue Juice, etc. The prices are okay for a designer brand and something a blind eye can be applied to, as it is supporting Australian labels. But look out for their sales because they really do come down in price are definitely worth buying. It's aimed at the younger, street savvy, clothes conscious, party going set but if you got it flaunt it and support Australian.

One of the most visited and donated op-shops in the Hills area. With most businesses, high frequency of customers and prominent location usually lend to success and high quality. Unfortunately, with op-shops this can be a fatal draw back. Strolling along the aisles in this community store, you can't help but feel some other young trendster got there before and picked up all the cool shirts, jeans and hats. They left you with daggy, out of size dress pants and jackets missing buttons and smelling kind of like death. It's a shame. I can't speak for the women's stuff, but I assume it would be the same or worse for them. Regardless this is a good store to find simple second hand clothing. Daggy shirts to paint in, or throw away pants and jackets for a costume party. There's also a lot of kids stuff kicking around, if you want some crazy toys or old VHS and story books for the young 'uns. The women that work their are lovely too, and offer some of the lowest prices I've seen in my op-shopping experience.

Come get your knit on at Fleur's…read more This is a multi-purpose haberdashery in nestled away in Stirling. You can get almost anything cloth related at Fleur's. They do dry cleaning, repairs, local school uniforms, women's unmentionables and supplies. Woah, the supplies. From straight out cloth and other materials, to crazy patterns, to a million different wools to tools you need to put it all together, it's a good range. I used to come here a lot with Mum when I was in school to replace and repair my uniform and have since gone back to pick up random tidbits and they're generally always come through. I put a friend of mine who's into knitting onto Fleurs and he swears by the place.

Yes I warned you it was a strange shop. The wine bottle holders are definitely the highlight. They are handmade metal sculptures, mostly people that cleverly hold your wine bottles. They sell the exact same ones down the street at Oscar's, but Décor sells them for less than half the price. My favourites were the one shaped like an old school car and another that was two cartoon chefs. I think these would make a great present for dad (or yourself). In one room of the shop there was random stuff- basically a mixture of what is outside and more. Statues, book holders and yeh... things. The other room for some reason is mainly children's toys. Yes children's toys, just in case the shop didn't have enough different items. There is a cheap lucky dip for kids, toy cars and wooden blocks.
