As well as a little cafe, here you can paint your own pottery.
There's a £2.50 studio fee and once you're in you get a choice of numerous items, such as mugs, plates, teapots, candle holders, garden ornaments, etc. Prices are clearly labelled on the bottom of all items, I think the cheapest was about £3.50 going all the way up to around £30 for the larger items.
I opted to paint a mug. Once I'd decided I was shown to a table and given clear instructions of what to do. There was even a little ideas book which I used for inspiration. The staff were very attentive and the whole experience was fun!! I'd definitely go back again.
Left my pottery to be glazed and baked in the kiln and received a call a few days later to say it was ready to be collected. Nicely packaged in a box too to stop any breakages.
With a display of numerous home made cakes and sweet things, there's literally something for everyone. There's loads of gluten free options too!! I had a huge slice of the chocolate orange cake once I'd finished painting, and I kid you not, it was the best chocolate orange cake I've ever had - so much so that I really should have asked for the recipe!! read more
