This is a school nursery, so takes kids the year before they start reception at proper school for either 5 mornings or 5 afternoons a week. It covers Auckley, Branton, Finningley and Blaxton and has quite a high attendance rate but there are still a few spaces this year as far as I know. It is by far the very best nursery I've come across with my little boy, and I know that every parent at the school would say exactly the same thing. The nursery teacher, Mrs Foreman, is the most enthusiastic person I've ever met and the kids absolutely adore her (so do the parents!). I couldn't believe that the little monster who doesn't listen to a word I say will sit, completely mesmerised, when Mrs F reads him a story! If you live anywhere near this area at all, I'd highly recommend a visit to this nursery before you consider any others. I know a few people with kids at this school and they all say that it is really good. My son went to the nursery for a year and came on leaps and bounds. They seem to take a real interest in the kids and treat them all as individuals. My little boy was always bringing things home and telling us stories about what him and the other boys had been doing, which he never did at the day nursery he'd been to before. Parking is a bit of a problem at times as there isn't much room for the school and a lot of kids come from outside the area, so be really careful with little ones on the road.
