I was having my dog groomed next dog at Happy Dog Spa and decided to go to TD Nails, Corinth, TX for Manicure and pedicure while I waited. It wasn't busy, only about 1 customer. They took me right in. They were friendly enough. The gel manicure was great. The woman that did my pedicure was nice enough. I choose the callous remover pedicure. It was going good until she used the nail clippers and cut my skin around my big toe. She cut down into the quick and now my toe is sore. She also cut a corn off my toe and it bled. I couldn't feel the corn being cut. I looked down and saw it bleeding. She put antiseptic on it and used a piece of gauze to put on the bleeding. This is real scary because open wounds invite infection. I won't go there again. Keeping an eye on my toes!!! read more

I've been having my nails done for 25+ years, never have had too bad of an experience. Today changed that. Was waiting for my son to get his haircut next door, decided to go in. It was a Saturday afternoon around 2pm - the fact that they had NO customers in there should have been my warning to leave. I needed a mani/pedi. Let me say first - the lady that did my pedi was fine. No real complaints there, other than she didn't give me the paper flip flops so I had to walk out to my car barefoot. Another thing - their place is FILTHY. Trash everywhere, dirty counters, dirty side tables on the pedicure chairs, crap stacked everywhere. I seriously would not be surprised if I don't end up with some sort of infection. My mani on the other hand was a nightmare. I picked out a powder color and once I sat down I showed him a picture of what I wanted. (Color powder on just the tips). He says "that's $5 extra", to which I replied "that's fine". Now, I chew my nails and needed acrylics. He argued with me, said they were fine. I finally convinced him to at least put them on my fingers and leave my thumbnails which were a bit longer. He started doing my nails and I watched him dip the first 2 nails completely in powder. My first thought was he was just doing it differently. Then I decided I should ask. I said "you're just doing the tips, right?" He proceeded to drop my hand, and loudly say "you didn't say that!". I replied "I literally just showed you the picture, you said it would be $5 extra?" He said "NO, you didn't say anything, that will take much longer and cost much more, and I will have to redo these two I already did". I decided it wasn't worth it to argue, as I would probably end up with worse nails. I just had him do the whole nail. Now, don't get me wrong, the nails are ok (NOT great) but I wouldn't have picked such a bright color if I knew it was going to be on the entire nail, not just the tips. He was SO rude the entire time, the lady doing my toes even noticed it, she kept looking at him worriedly. After getting superglue all over the underpart of my finger, he mumbled to himself "What is up with me today". So I get it - maybe he was having a bad day... but this was unacceptable and I won't be back. The guy was just plain rude, didn't listen to anything I wanted, just basically did whatever he wanted. Today was my first time back as it's been a few months since I've been to this location. The people were not the same but I gave it a try. Horrible. The first girl puts water in the tub and did not start the jets, water was cold. Finally the guy comes over and first thing is trying to up sell to the most expensive product. I had a basic pedicure and they tried to charge me more than the posted charge for this service type. Also the person that did my pedi was very rough. This was the WORST experience I've ever had at a nail salon. The salon was dirty, reception left much to be desired, and both services I received - a pedicure and shellac manicure - could have been performed by a toddler. The pedicure was rushed with poor nail maintenance and a pathetic paint job. The shellac manicure was the absolute worst - the male manicurist performing the service was both rude and rough. As if that wasn't enough, he insisted that I change my polish choice because he didn't like it with my skin tone. Then, he completely butchered the simple design requested. I asked him to apply another coat in hopes he would notice the many bubbles and missed edges. Nothing was fixed, and he hastily added the top coat. When he noticed me staring at my nails, he asked if I liked the "finished" manicure. I told him that it just didn't look like I expected it would at a "professional" nail salon. He then yelled at me saying that you can't expect your nails to look like a picture. He stormed off and had a different manicurist soak off my shellac. When all was said and done, they still had the nerve to insist I payed at least for the removal of the shellac! Please don't chance visiting this establishment unless you want to lose time, money, and half your nails. read more

Rudest staff I have ever met. I came in an hour before closing and I guess the guy was pissed off about it. He completely rushed my manicure and hurt my fingers multiple times. This was a while back but I still remember to this date and finally had the time to comment. They'll also turn you away if they want to go home early. I'm waiting for these guys to be replaced. I will spare you from the only one star speech. They deserve one, because at least they knew how to do a fill. I did not say it looked good, they just know how to properly apply the gel powder. My 3 yr old daughter and I went in to get her nails painted and myself a gel fill. Upon walking in we were literally just looked at, like we were the walking dead. The 4 nail techs all looked up and then looked back down. I should have walked out right then. Who does not greet their clients? This place does. The guy who painted my daughter's nails was very sweet, can't complain about him. Tommy who did my fill is horrendous! Not only did he cut my skin with his drill, that I swear had knives instead of grit attached to it, but he was totally bizarre. I am a hair stylist so I am well aware of TDLR practices, and the proper conduct a technician should be practicing. He ate while doing my nail! I did not know at first because he was sneaking bites when I was talking to my daughter. Gross. Eat on your time buddy, not mine. I asked him a few questions, like if he was the owner in which he replied no. Then I asked if he was a manager, another no. No follow up, no other comment. Until he took a phone call starts speaking in Vietnamese, then in loud English demands me to say hello. Seriously he had the electric file going, and yells at me to say hello! So I yell hello and he giggles and keeps talking! Nut job, I tell you! My final straw was when he asked me if he could ask my three year old a question. I said it depends on what it is. Tommy says oh it is just funny. So he proceeds to tell my daughter (not ask) that she says "Momma" too much and that she should really think about how many times she says it. I almost flipped his little nail table over! But he had his torture device on me so I refrained. My nails look atrocious! They are super short, and my daughter could have done a better job! This place is HORRIBLE!!! It was dirty when I went in, that should have been my first clue to leave. There were several flies flying around. A man (Tommy) came out (even though there were 3 ladies working there with no other customers) and did my nails in a very big hurry. He cut my toe very deep with the nail clippers and I was bleeding and he never said sorry, not one word. He rushed out as soon as he was done and made one of the other ladies finish. I needed my eyebrows waxed and decided to stop in at TD Nails for a quick wax. I walked in with my daughter with which I was greeted by stares from all the techs as well as Tommy, who was standing behind the desk. I proceeded to walk the 3 steps to the desk and let him know what I needed. Another lady who was doing a pedi at the time told me to go back to the room at the back of the store, there are two rooms and her waving her hands was not helpful in letting me know which room to go into, both doors were closed. As I stood there waiting, another tech came back and opened a door and motioned me in. I was waiting patiently for someone to come back to wax my eyebrows when Tommy walked in. He proceeded to put wax on me that was so hot that it literally burned my skin, he did both brows in a matter of 15-20 minutes without doing a great job considering how long he had kept me in there for. Tommy did ask me what kind of car I drive, which I am not sure what business it was of his, however he proceeded to tell me how white women love to spend money and love to have the best of everything....not sure what that had to do with anything about me getting my eyebrows waxed but I did find it highly offensive and quite racist on his part. He may want to think about keeping his opinions to himself. I had this done on Saturday morning and I am still having to cover up the burns that he left me with. I will not be going back to this place and I will not recommend this place to anyone. Please beware of TD Nails in Corinth! Extremely poor service and rude employees! read more
