I got a prime parking spot and made my way inside the branch. I held the door for an older gentleman. He thanked me and we had a brief conversation. I liked it, as it makes you feel like it's a small neighbourhood of folks looking out for one another. This branch has four ATMs. I was impressed! No waiting at all. Both the gentleman and I did our banking there, along with an existing customer pressing away at the screen. This branch is huge and inviting! It makes me want to call this branch my home one. (212)

I like that you can use the drive-thru ATM without any around-the-building or strange curves that can potentially ruin the left side of your car. I don't recall ever having any issues at the ATM. It's always functional when I have needed to use it. The only downside is that once you are done with the drive-thru ATM, you have to head out on the road. If you want to shop at the other stores within the strip mall, you need to cycle back. With the bank located in a strip mall, there is plenty of parking. (15)

Service though a little slow and confusing as there's a different line for commercial/personal account but when the bank is not busy. I do really like all the perks the bank offers for customers including auto beverage making machine for espresso, coffee and even hot chocolate! There is also a nice lounge area in the front equipped with computer if you want to do some online banking! There are always tons of parking as the lot is huge and only shared with a few shops.

After I had picked up some takeout for dinner, I came over to this drive-thru to use the ATM. This branch used to be across the street, on the northwest corner of the intersection, next to CIBC. I always found it interesting seeing two banks next to each other with drive-thrus. They have finally been separated. I liked the lane as you approached the ATM. It was roomy and nicely designed. There was a car in front of me. When I got to use the ATM, the experience was great. I made a cash deposit. The machine scanned my bill correctly. I had a great experience here. I don't bank often with RBC. When I do and am in the area, I'd return to use the ATM again. (64)

Rude, unhelpful and under-qualified…read more Aesthetically this is a nice branch. My family financial adviser has been working here for many years so we frequent this branch. I needed to do some investment redemptions for brother hence the visit. For context, I've worked in retail banking as a teller and advisor for many years so I have a much more critical eye. I've worked for TD Canada Trust and we've adhered to a high standard of service delivered to our clients. Anyways, the advisor that saw us (I'll keep his name confidential... since everyone needs to work) was not warm, not welcoming and had us sit in silence as he rebooted his computer. It was very awkward. Then he proceeded to tell his that he didn't get his lunch because of back to back appointments... We needed to redeem a GIC - basically child's play but he didn't know where to find the transactional breakdown of the investment and had to cal customer service. My brother tried to explain to him how to find it because he was here a week ago and the advisor kept talking over him, it was just rude at this point. I also asked him about some fee reversals that were valid and he bluntly said that they don't do that. When I said that I worked for TD and it can be done under these circumstances he said "this isn't TD". After a lot of back and forth he went to get his manager to complete our transaction and came back to say that the manager isn't in and we should go to another branch. I was livid, we just wasted 1.5 hours here with this rude and confused man. I asked for an appointment with the manager for the next day and he refused. Saying that he couldn't do that... again another request that was possible. Needless to say we left unsatisfied, unfulfilled and disrespected. I've never received such bad service from a financial advisor.

Dylan sits at a desk helping customers in person or on the phone and if there is a line-up to see a teller and you're lucky you will be invited to sit down at his desk and he will assist you. Banks have a reputation of putting their interests first but Dylan puts the customer first. I needed to make a cash withdrawal and through this Dylan noticed we had a significant amount in our savings account at a low interest rate. He let me know that there was a promotion where we could earn 5% and set me up and explained that it was time limited but to see him when it expired. From then on I have referred to him as my "Personal Banker" and he has helped us out many other times. Dylan's strong customer service orientation builds loyalty and we would highly recommend the Hillcrest BMO branch.

I went into the branch, explained my situation, and the lady behind the counter printed copies of the cheques, at no cost to me! She saved me from paying over $100 in fees from having cheque copies made and looked for. I'm really grateful for that.

However, I later discovered that the teller had deposited my money into the wrong account. It took me a very lengthy phone call to TD Canada Trust Easyline to figure out what had happened, to locate the money and fix the teller's mistake. TD Canada Trust service is usually pretty good & I appreciate that they eventually fixed the mistake. My banking experience at this branch was definitely one that caused more problems than it solved. If I hadn't been checking up on the account, the mistake would not have been identified (nor fixed). When banking here, I'll need to double-check everything the teller does.

I periodically have used them to cut checks in US Funds or to handle unusual situations that I can't do on line. They are always prompt either at the teller or to, if needed, sit down with me in an office. While I often avoid talking to strangers, there don't seem to be any strangers at this location. Other banks could take some lessons from this team!
