I asked about global transfers before at the very same branch and they said the bank I want to send money to was not supported (which was proven not true), money wasted. Jessie went above and beyond when I visited yesterday and asked about it. Unlike other tellers and even ones in the offices, She was the ONLY one who was even care to give it a try and help saves a customer's money which was ABSOLUTELY unnecessary for the wire transfer from before. She was also very professional, patience and understanding. From the details and suggestions she had for me yesterday, you can tell she was highly dedicated to her work and was just on it, at the very moment you decided something. The speed of her service was fast, more staffs like this and hopefully there won't be long line ups and wait time at banks. CIBC needs more staffs like Jessie who can actually help the customers, the branch and the image of the bank. I rarely nominated a certain person in a review, but I strongly believe she deserves a credit. If I was to found out about the global transfer from another branch. I would give this brand a 2, but because Jessie was there and helped me. You saved a 5 star review. And no, she did not know I am a level 9 on Google, a Yelp elite and a blogger.

My eyes were dilated and I was wearing dark sunglasses on a cloudy day. I was heading home and spotted this CIBC branch. Should I be hitting a new drive-thru to do a bank transaction under the circumstances? I was good. It simply felt like I was in heaven with so much light coming into my eyes... haha! I needed to do a transaction. I don't bank with CIBC often these days. Once in a while, I do, like I did today. I was driving northbound on Brimley Road. This branch is at Chartwell Shopping Centre, in a plaza that I used to frequent often when I worked in Scarborough eons ago. Back then, this plaza had a Shoppers Drug Mart and a Price Choppers. Both are gone. My friend, who was also my colleague, and I came here during our lunch break regularly. She banked with CIBC. Back then, this branch was next door to Price Chopper. With all the changes that occurred at this plaza, it's now a standalone building at the corner on Brimley Road and Huntingwood Drive. I had no problem finding the entrance to the drive-thru ATM. Even with my dilated eyes, it was straightforward. There was one vehicle ahead of me, which gave me time to fetch my bank card out of my wallet. The ATM was clean. I had no problem entering my PIN and performing a straightforward cash withdrawal. Easy peasy! There is parking in front of this branch. It was a bit busy, as it was just before noon. There's a Tim Hortons and a Pizza Pizza a few doors down from this CIBC, so be careful driving over to this bank. It looks like this bank is the only business with a drive-thru here. Having one for Timmy's wouldn't work, as there isn't enough space to accommodate two drive-thrus. (188)

A bad review is always easy to write as it is always easier to say something negative! However,…read morethis particular TD branch just makes it too easy to be negative. The service is super slow! The tellers seem to not know what they are doing! And there is never, never, ever enough staff!! You would think that an organization like TD would know to staff its branch will all the tellers they need to survive such a busy location like this one. It is inside the mall so there is more traffic than other branches. Every time I come here there is always a line up! Alway! As the limited staff/tellers are not enough to service the more than usual traffic. What a joke, I get faster service at the emergency room when I cut my self shaving and I need some one to kiss it! I can deal with the other point, like incompetent staff. But the slow service and lack of warm bodies behind the counter is unforgivable!! It is large and has a beautiful layout and pleasing decor in CIBC colours. There are 4 self-service banking machines upon entering the branch. I was cheerfully greeted by a gentlemen at the service desk who told me that I could open a bank account at this branch just by pulling up a seat and inputting my personal information at one of two display stations situated at a nice counter. Very inviting... Anyhow, the wait time for customers lined for teller service was minimal and my friend seemed happy about his experience. I was also happy for the experience as a non-CIBC client.

After doing some research, I came across the branch at Fairview Mall. It's open on weekdays till 20:00. OMG! I felt like I had hit the jackpot. There were perhaps six customers in line. I was good waiting. I had a busy day and managed to check my e-mail on my phone. The bank manager came over and asked how I was. I have never seen such nice customer service at my local bank. She congratulated me on my car purchase. I think that she also wanted to guide folks to the cash machine if they didn't need to talk to a person at the teller. It was finally my turn to talk to the teller. I asked if I could get a certified cheque. She asked me what it was for and then talked to her colleague beside her. They said that I could do a money order. It was cheaper! $7.50 service change for the money order. The certified cheque? $41.50! Yikes! The rep saved me money, made sure that she had entered all the information in correctly, and explained which copy was mine. She was superb. I feel like changing branches now.
