When you think of heartless and money hungry, you think of large business corporations. What better way than comparing to this TD Bank location. I hope that the other branches are not like this one.
During the previous month I was tasked with taking on a charitable campaign to raise funds for various charitable organizations. We raised some of our funds through various events and activities. These events raised cash funds that were required to be converted to a bank draft. Historically our organization went to various banks to obtain these bank drafts and the banks would waive the $7.50 fee. This year I went to this TD Bank location to get the bank draft completed, and explained the purpose of our campaign. We were declined in getting the bank draft fee waived. I explained that we have gone to TD Bank before and have never had an issue with getting the fee waived. They explained that they may have done it in the past but it is something that they are no longer doing. I was irate. I said to the bank teller that this was ridiculous, and that it was for charity. You can provide a complimentary gift-wrapping service for the holidays but you cant provide a piece of paper that you put through the machine and write on for charitable causes? Its not the $7.50 that was the issue, its the principle behind it. Step up your game @TD_Canada @TDCANADA JimStar Out!! And never to return to this location!! read more
