Jessie went above and beyond when I visited yesterday and asked about it. Unlike other tellers and even ones in the offices, She was the ONLY one who was even care to give it a try and help saves a customer's money which was ABSOLUTELY unnecessary for the wire transfer from before. She was also very professional, patience and understanding. From the details and suggestions she had for me yesterday, you can tell she was highly dedicated to her work and was just on it, at the very moment you decided something. The speed of her service was fast, more staffs like this and hopefully there won't be long line ups and wait time at banks. CIBC needs more staffs like Jessie who can actually help the customers, the branch and the image of the bank. Should I be hitting a new drive-thru to do a bank transaction under the circumstances? I was good. It simply felt like I was in heaven with so much light coming into my eyes... haha! I needed to do a transaction. I don't bank with CIBC often these days. Once in a while, I do, like I did today. I was driving northbound on Brimley Road. This branch is at Chartwell Shopping Centre, in a plaza that I used to frequent often when I worked in Scarborough eons ago. Back then, this plaza had a Shoppers Drug Mart and a Price Choppers. Both are gone. My friend, who was also my colleague, and I came here during our lunch break regularly. She banked with CIBC. Back then, this branch was next door to Price Chopper. With all the changes that occurred at this plaza, it's now a standalone building at the corner on Brimley Road and Huntingwood Drive. I had no problem finding the entrance to the drive-thru ATM. Even with my dilated eyes, it was straightforward. There was one vehicle ahead of me, which gave me time to fetch my bank card out of my wallet. The ATM was clean. I had no problem entering my PIN and performing a straightforward cash withdrawal. Easy peasy! There is parking in front of this branch. It was a bit busy, as it was just before noon. There's a Tim Hortons and a Pizza Pizza a few doors down from this CIBC, so be careful driving over to this bank. It looks like this bank is the only business with a drive-thru here. The tellers seem to not know what they are doing! And there is never, never, ever enough staff!! You would think that an organization like TD would know to staff its branch will all the tellers they need to survive such a busy location like this one. It is inside the mall so there is more traffic than other branches. Every time I come here there is always a line up! Alway! After doing some research, I came across the branch at Fairview Mall. It's open on weekdays till 20:00. OMG! I felt like I had hit the jackpot. There were perhaps six customers in line. I was good waiting. I had a busy day and managed to check my e-mail on my phone. The bank manager came over and asked how I was. I have never seen such nice customer service at my local bank. She congratulated me on my car purchase. I think that she also wanted to guide folks to the cash machine if they didn't need to talk to a person at the teller. It was finally my turn to talk to the teller. I asked if I could get a certified cheque. She asked me what it was for and then talked to her colleague beside her. They said that I could do a money order. It was cheaper! $7.50 service change for the money order. The certified cheque? $41.50! Yikes! The rep saved me money, made sure that she had entered all the information in correctly, and explained which copy was mine. She was superb. I feel like changing branches now.
