Review: I had the pleasure of meeting Jade Whittle this morning at TD Bank. I needed help with many things related to my bank account. Jade couldn't have been nicer. She was extremely helpful, professional, and friendly. Caldwell Bank is not the closest bank to me, but I am really glad I went to that branch as my experience with the Montclair branch was very negative. Thank you so much, Jade, for your assistance. Just note that Yelp said this TD Bank was open until 3:00 today on Saturday. It closed at 1:00. Don't waste a trip as I did.

If I could give no stars I would I went to get a perpaid card. They suggested a TD connect. Spent 2 hours trying to get my TD credit card to transfer funds to the prepaid card. It of course did not work. Come home to messages from TD frud departement call them they clear and reopen my credit card. But the prepaid card still has no funds. So try it again. With the same results. So call the 1-888 number, They tell me that the prepaid connect can only be funded with at TD debit card not a TD credit card. So had to call to cancel the prepaid connect card. The corporate changed the policy and did not bother to tell the branch offices. Thinking of cancelling all of my accounts from this poorly run bank. read more

Greatest bank EVER. I'm an original costumer of Commerce Bank then TD Bank took over. I have my personal and business accounts with them. I switched my business checking for a short while and that was the BIGGEST mistake I have ever done. I switched to Valley Bank and I have to thank Valley because if it wasn't for them I would have never realized how good TD Bank is. If I could give this bank -5 star I would. I never leave reviews, but the fact that my husband I are are experiencing what we are due to the negligence and inexperience of a bank employee I almost feel obligated to share so no one else loses almost $1000 to bank fees!!! It started with my husband joining my account. It took 3 weeks to get issued a debit card when it should only take 5 days or so. At least that's what we were told. After that inconvenience cleared up my husband went into the branch to close his account and finally pick up his debit card. He sat with Solange Queliz who told him numerous incorrect things. I know this because I fact checked her with another branch. This all took place on November 8th, 2018. He sat with Solange who told him, "I appears as though Paypal is attempting to hit the account." He asked ways he could prevent further attempts she said there are none. He asked to close the account and left with his debit card not thinking twice about the encounter he had just had. He squared away with Paypal and things were fine until January 4, 2019 when I checked my bank account and saw almost $1000 gone to offset his "closed" account. I spoke to the useless branch manager who just seemed like she is covering the employees mistake. I've spoken to another employee within the branch who was more helpful. She directed me to corporate. Corporate was no help either. They directed me back to the branch. I was being jerked around. No one wanted to help reverse these charges. This back and forth has gone on for almost a month now and it seems as though no one will issue money back for THEIR mistake. I wouldn't be nearly as mad and upset had the conversation between him and Solange been that there was an outstanding negative balance on the account therefore she was unable to close it. After speaking to her she fabricated an entire story saying she printed out his statement and asked him if he wanted to pay the balance to get the account to a $0 balance. Needless to say none of that ever happened. I am beyond furious at how every single TD bank employee of West Caldwell has handled this situation. My entire family has multiple accounts with this bank. I know myself I am switching after this disaster. I would never use this bank again nor would I recommend it to my worst enemy. read more

Terrible bank and branch. Was charged twice $35*2 during the same month for an overdraft - absurd. Always new customer service reps and each knows less than the previous rep. The biggest pompass morons ever met in our lives. Have had a TD Bank account since the very first day TD Bank came to NJ. Since we are large corporation in the area, instead of going to my home bank of TD, I went to this nightmare of a financial institution. Right off the bat was completely harrassed by the bank teller. Coming in there to get a Gift Card and handing them my ATM Card and cash! First starts asking for my drivers licenses, so we say we dont have it. Instead of simply having any brains and entering my ATM Card number, this idiot of a bank teller starts the first harrassement. First I say if you need to validate who I am, call the Manager in X Branch and this branch and this branch. Immediately, gives ups BS and says no we cant do that I need to have someone from this branch (which was a complete BS Lie). Then asks for my name and address, so again give it to this imbasile and then he says 10 different things and then says, no im not going to look it up this way after grilling me for it, because there are too many last names that start with yours. So now this moron lies to me a 4th time, and I start naming off employees that used to work there because I have signed documents from that branch from those employees, then another lie, he says oh they've never worked there before. Yet go to another branch near Bloomfield go through the drive up, I hand them the cash and my ATM Card, they ask me what my address was, and immediately they give me the Gift Card I needed. I would say stay away from this branch because what I had to undergo was pure reverse profiling from this branch. read more

I don't normally write reviews, good or bad; mainly because I just don't ever have the time. Every time I have gone to TD West Caldwell it has been an incredible experience of great service from the the tellers, to the managers. Always with a smile, and a positive we can help you work out any issues. Most recently there was an issue with a gift card I purchased. Solange remained professional and continued to explore various solutions even as my professional composure was deteriorating, she and the branch manager Carmen were able to get me smiling and that was before they came up with a creative solution! As stated above, the entire team at TD consistently puts in 150% to ensure a successful transaction. Gail is always busy with clients at her desk yet when I come in with my children ( 4 & 6 years) she is ready to distract them and keep them busy with the TD coloring and activity books. I worked on an international document for over a year that needed to be notarized multiple, multiple times, Kemie was always happy to notarize each item as I brought each one in. He provided valuable guidance based on his years of experience. This same project had areas that needed to be witnessed and not notarized, Carmen was more than happy to witness the document which was extremely helpful to me and saved quite a bit of time. The examples above are just a few among many occasions where my husband and I have been grateful to the staff and management of the West Caldwell branch. The next time you are in a long I, remember, they move as quickly as they can giving each person the time, attention and expertise needed to ensure a smooth transaction.
