While this bank may have weekend hours, don't let it fool you - they can't actually do anything to help you this weekend. I've been a TD bank customer for over 10 years and they refused to open a new CD for me because they didn't have enough people staffed. This is particularly frustrating as CD rates fluctuate daily so this refusal to open an account could cost me a great deal of money. Looking forward to finding a new bank. read more

This is the worst branch ever. After I left the branch, I went to the store and realized they never gave me back my card. I called them and tell them I'm 15 min away and will head back now. They then say they close in 10 min. So you cannot stay open an additional 5 minutes to return MY card that YOU forgot to give back? And it was on a Sat which means I had to wait until Monday to get my card back. I also feel I was racially profiled here. I went to withdraw money and they tell me my signature does not match the signature they gave on file. I had to resign multiple times and I promise it was literally the exact signature-I cannot sign it any other way. read more

I was shocked to learn for the first time yesterday that Fifth Third Bank has inaccurately reported that my June 2020 mortgage payment for my mortgage in VA was 30 days late. Fifth Third Bank's inaccurate and patently unfair actions have negatively impacted my credit score in a way that does not accurately reflect my mortgage payment history - which is 100% on time - or my creditworthiness. My June 2020 payment was not late. The payment was due no later than June 15, 2020 and the payment was made electronically and accepted by the bank on June 9, 2020 in the amount of $4,032.93. Not until mid-July 2020 did Fifth Third Bank send me a check in the amount of $4,032.93 without explanation. When I received the check, I contacted your bank via the website for an explanation, thinking the check may have been excess money I had paid over the year. I then learned that unbeknownst to me, Fifth Third Bank had increased my monthly mortgage payment by $48.88 without providing appropriate notice. My monthly payments were and are automatically debited from my bank so the previous amount of $4,032.93 was sent on time for June 2020. Without any notice or request for the addition $48.88, your bank refused the payment by sending a paper check to my home in the amount of $4,032.93 that arrived around July 20, 2020 without further explanation. I received no other notice of any problem with my June 2020 mortgage payment. Please note that by the time Fifth Third Bank sent this check - without explanation - more than 30 days had passed from when they received the payment. Therefore, I had no notice and no opportunity to pay the $48.88 within the 30-day window of the due date. From a customer's perspective, there was no reason for me to know there was a problem. Upon receiving the check for $4,032.93 from Fifth Third Bank in July 2020, I submitted an inquiry via the bank's website on July 20, 2020 requesting clarification. Fifth Third Bank responded on July 21, 2020 that inaccurately confused my July 2020 payment for my June 2020 payment. Your bank's response contained other inaccurate information about receiving a payment on July 9, 2020. I can only assume this is another human error made by the bank that was meant to refer to the payment they receive on June 6, 2020. This lack of attention to detail on the part of Fifth Third Bank is telling. Despite the bank's clear mistakes, I resubmitted the June payment plus the payment due for August in the amount of $8,163.62 on July 28, 2020. Having fixed the bank's mistake, I believed this to the end of the story. Unfortunately, that was not the case. On January 20, 2020 I learned for the first time that Fifth Third Bank had inaccurately reported my June 2020 payment as being 30 days late from my mortgage officer for our construction loan. I immediately reached out to Fifth Third Bank to correct this further mistake on your part. A Fifth Third Bank Customer Service Manager, had the nerve to tell me directly that "we do this often to our customers." Despite these facts and my request, Fifth Third Bank has refused to take any action to correct your mistake or remove the false information from my credit report. I can include my written correspondence with Fifth Third Bank from July 2020 as well as my June - August 2020 mortgage statements from Fifth Third Bank which will verify above. If the undisputed facts were not enough alone, let us not forget that we are literally talking about a difference of $48.88 that was paid immediate upon first notice. How can this be the reason to report someone's mortgage as late in the midst of a global pandemic? How can this be the reason to lower someone's credit score in the face of decades of on time payments on this and other mortgages? The unfairness of this outcome is obvious to any objective party. Therefore, I expect Fifth Third Bank to immediately make the correction and remove the inaccurately reported late payment for June 2020 from all three national credit bureaus. read more

Zero shock that this branch has such a low rating. I came in in person bc TD's online transfer to an external bank system failed so I was required to come in and confirm my transfer in person. This was distressing to begin with bc it was a large sum of money and the transfer was already going to take 3 business days. The initial associate who was going to help was knowledgeable and clear and kind, but almost instantly disappeared to the back leaving me with someone who was either very new or just plain incompetent. I had to repeat information multiple times although he had already heard it from me and the first associate, and eventually I had to explain my situation again over the phone to an additional person. Then he put the person on the phone on speaker and had them repeat private conversation aloud in an echoing lobby with other patrons around. He didn't tell me he was going this so I wasn't listening to the conversation (assuming an associate would never put that sort of content on speakerphone) and then he acted like it was my fault that I couldn't hear the other person on the phone. As if that wasn't bad enough, when I told him that I was frustrated bc the echo and the lack of privacy and the fact that the bank was holding up a transfer of a lot of my money, he had the gall to interrupt me repeatedly, and tell me everything was ok (it wasn't) and that he understood (he obviously didn't or this wouldn't be occurring on speakerphone in a populated lobby) and to calm down insinuating that my frustration was unreasonable. Worst de-escalation technique EVER! It made matters 10x more exasperating. And no one more knowledgeable or mature or helpful stepped in. This has been the worst banking experience I've ever had. read more

I've been a customer of TD for a few years now. I opened an account to use the coin machine and to buy cashiers checks on Sunday's (since all the other banks are closed on Sunday's). I keep $100 on a checking account to meet the minimum requirement and not get any fees. The staff is always very professional and most of the time there is no line. I recently opened a $50,000 personal line of credit with TD Bank (they are the only bank that would do that for an individual, trust me I did my research). I had an issue recently where a payment I made at a Florida TD branch was misplaced. I went to this branch and the manager was able to assist me in a very professional manner. He was able to resolve the issue and always had a smile on his face and took an interest in getting to know me. Thank You TD Bank!!! :-) read more

Convenience, Convenience, Convenience I love this bank because they are open 7 day a week. I have a checking, saving, creditCard, and a Safety deposit box with Vienna Branch TD Bank. I usually go to the Vienna branch for day to day banking. Most of the times that I have been in this branch there was no wait time at all and the most I have ever waited was about max 3 minutes. Employees are very polite and they try to help as much as possible. I refinanced my home loan with them as well and it was very easy and with no drama and got a competitive rate with no point. Ability to access my safety deposit box 7 day a week is ideal for me since I can leave all valuables in the bank and do not worry about it. read more

The drive thru teller didn't acknowledge me and then didn't ask me what I wanted. I waited about 4 min and nobody took my deposit. A guy finally came and said your deposit is done. I obviously wanted him to cash my check and deposit it as cash along with my cash. Had he asked me from the beginning what I came here today to do, I would've been in and out. The whole entire transaction took 10 min. Having 9 years of banking experience, this is unacceptable! The worst part is that I used to work at this location and no other TD bank location takes this long with my transactions or shows poor customer service! read more

We have been loyal bank customers for about 6 years now. Goodbye TD Bank! We have several accounts with them, and when we wanted to open a new savings account, they found they'd charge us another monthly fee! I wrote letters, and all I got was the same computerized response from this place. Are there all robots working there? Even when I sat at the desk and inquired about a savings account, I got no offer of a solution around those crazy fees you charge. So I said goodbye and it was like speaking to a bank robot. We recently relocated to VA and needed to move our banking accts. At the recommendation of a co-worker, we went to TD. WHAT A MISTAKE!!! From day one, we had nothing but trouble with this bank. We deposit over 15K/mo from just payroll, and they treated us like we were dirt. The branch staff are inept, and rude and forget online help, they treat you even worse. I would stay away from this bank at all cost(no pun intended). We moved to a bank that actually appreciates our business and are quite happy now after the nightmare at TD. read more

I have had an account for about 10 years at this bank and, in fact, as an accountant at a non-profit in the area, I was instrumental at setting up its checking account there. At the time, TD Bank was highly rated by JD Powers & Associates for customer service. I was so happy with the bank that I kept it, even though I moved to NC where there is no TD Bank. However, I recently had a very bad experience trying to get an issue resolved. Two employees failed to follow up and call me back. I just relocate to the Vienna, Va area and the TD bank staff here may seem friendly but very very very unhelpful and work at the disadvantage of the client. Whenever I want to withdraw MY MONEY, they don't have big bills or they may suggest giving you have big bills and the rest in small like $20, 10, 5 really! The best thing was someone came to the teller right next to mine and he requested a $100 or $50 cash and they gave him $50 bills. I asked my teller why she said because he asked for a small amount and they only had couple hundred dollars come on. I have had that we TD bank in Springfield, PA in the past till I got to know someone who was helpful and now here. The thing is I went straight to another bank and they gave me my $100 right away.
